Reviews of The Fat Greek Taverna

The Fat Greek is amazing. We've been quite a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is superb, and you definitely get value for money with the portion sizes.
Now that Portland road has been redeveloped, it's lovely to have the choice of outdoor seating too, especially as they have a set of doors that open straight out to the street and extend the restaurant.
There's a good choice of drinks on the menu too. And the kids menu, while small in choice is still enough to choose from. Our 3 year old had the fish fingers, which turned out to be 3 small fillets of fish fried in batter. The portion size was probably enough for 2 kids or 1 adult.
All in all, we love it, excellent food guaranteed every time and not over priced either. We went on Thursday and for 7 of us (6 adults and 1 child) the bill came to £140, which included mains for everyone ,2 starters to share for the table and 1-2 drinks each.
We will be back again for sure.

A quick lunch out to The Fat Greek Taverna was definitely a good choice! 👌
I went for the kids, that’s right KIDS menu called the little fatties and ordered the fish and chips for £6, was definitely a good buy as I wouldn’t be able to eat more than that!
Really lovely staff and as it was sunny we were able to sit outside 👌

What a great place to eat. The food is superb, the staff are friendly. Great sized portions and a vibrant atmosphere. Bookings are recommended as it was packed. Thank you for the delicious food.

First time visit to this unpretentious little local taverna, since the remodelling of the street where they're located.
Enjoyed sitting in the pavement terrace area on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Well prepared, tasty classic Greek / Cypriot dishes for most tastes and budgets. Service just right too...available and helpful, when needed.

Our favorite place in Worthing! The food is amazing and the lunch deal is great! The staff is friendly and really attentive to your needs! My husband loves the chips and always tells me he can’t wait for us to go back! Too bad they don’t make deliveries!

We'd wanted to try this Greek restaurant for a while and with pedestrianised Portland Road being recently refurbished it felt like the perfect time. We sat outside and the setting was glorious; we truly felt like we were dining out on the continent. The food was delicious - grilled halloumi starter, lamb souvlaki with chips and salad for the main with beer for me and a biscoff milkshake for her to wash things down. My only quibble might be it was perhaps slightly expensive but the portion sizes and quality were good. We'd go there again.
