Lovely place. Food was great! The cocktails were nice. But the service was very slow for both the food and the drinks, waited nearly 40 minutes for our food, they did apologies not sure if they were understaffed?

Attended a surprise wedding reception. The venue was beautiful, staff were friendly and the food was lovely. The play area outside for the children was a great feature. My boys loved it.

Huge thank you for a fantastic service on Saturday for hosting Joshs suprise 30th. Extremely helpful, reliable staff, nothing was too much bother, special shout-out to a young lady (not sure of her name, she had dark hair) she helped holding my baby while we set up, I think he was smitten with her! Fab from her going above and beyond in her service that day! Manager James was more than accommodating with food requirements, and set up as I requested a buffet self serve rather than individual plates for guests - this worked perfect for us. The staff also worked well with our entertainment bookings (funcasinohire and local performer Luke Gallagher) Really appreciated everything you did for us and will recommend your venue and look to use you for any future events ❤️

Just popped in for a drink. The last time came here it was old and very worn. However its had a lit of money spent on it and it's a different place now. Well worth a visit. Play area for the kid's seating outside. Don't expect a river's edge. They do Sunday lunch as well.

Firstly I organised very last minute might I add a birthday party for my grandad in May as he started getting poorly and I wanted those around him to be able to have a drink and a celebration with him when it was still possible, although James had a big presentation going on in the function room he cleared out the restaurant for us to be able to have our small party. Sadly, my grandad then passed away so of course I asked James if we could have the wake in the function room and I was so relieved he confirmed he could provide the room and buffet, but James and the staff at the Delph done a lot more than that. One member was stood outside waiting for the cars to arrive, we had two large projectors with photos of my grandad, James lay the room out beautifully and helped us layout the flowers, and also let us log on to our Spotify so that we could play my Grandads playlist he had made for his birthday. There was a lot more too but I’m not sure if I have enough space to begin on how wonderful, patient and supportive James and the staff in the Delph were. I feel very grateful and will forever remember how they went above and beyond for our family, on more than one occasion. Thank you.

Had a very good night here for a friend's suprise birthday. Very nice atmosphere and clean amenities. Very reasonably priced drinks and great quality cocktails.

We organised a suprise 30th birthday party at the Delph but in fact surprised all our guests that we got married that day. We met with James a few months before the event and he was absolutely brilliant, we just knew as soon as we met him we wanted to work with him. He is the most down to earth, caring and considerate man I've ever met. We didn't want to tell a venue because we were concerned that they would increase prices if they knew it was a wedding. But that was not the case with James, in fact the opposite. He was so excited to help out with the big suprise when we told him. He organised for beautiful centrepieces to be made, chairs, plates, napkins etc etc and he made the room look absolutely beautiful, better than I could have ever imagined. Not only that he was willing to work with us within our budget. The night could not have gone better. James bless him was running around before we arrived to make sure everyone was inside. Everyone told us afterwards how stressed he looked to make sure everything run smoothly. James agreed to announce us coming into the room "with a little twist to todays proceedings, I give to you Mr and Mrs Rush". This will forever stay in my memory and is probably my fondest moment of the whole evening. Watching everyone's reaction back on video afterwards is amazing and that is all thanks to James. Throughout the evening the food was amazing, the service was great, staff are so attentive and fast, nobody had to wait for anything and everyone has said afterwards how much of an amazing venue it is. People travelled from all over the UK from Scotland, Derby, Manchester and they all said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. I could write so much more but I'll leave it there.
