Haven't been to an Ed's for a while. It did not disappoint! Had a burger I'd not tried before. Delicious! Staff were attentive and everything was clean and tidy. Can't ask for more.

Fantastic restaurant! I've been here a few times and it's my favourite place to eat at the Designer Outlet! The staff have always been friendly and nice, without being overbearing! The food has always been incredible and fairly priced. The milkshakes (pictured) are probably the nicest milkshakes I've ever had - well worth the money and absolutely worth trying! I would suggest taking the double burger option if you are hungry and not having any starters! Great place.

Visited Ed’s Diner today in the Outlet and was very impressed. As soon as we sat down we asked for a gluten free menu and the girl immediately told other staff that I was a coeliac. All food had gluten flags in and the milkshake was made from a different machine. Very aware of cross contamination and the food was delicious.

First visit to Ed's and the staff and food were lovely. We took our 8 month old son with us and wanted to feed him first before we had our dinner which was not a problem. Came here after spending two nights in a cabin. Had a lovely breakfast, can't remember exactly what it was called but something on the lines of Ed's Fly breakfast ? Could be entirely wrong but anyway, the breakfast was beautiful and the sausage was more of a sausage patty which tasted great. I would recommend going here as the food was incredible. Would go here again next time I visit York Outlet.

Not been able to come here since lockdown 1. Finally came back and not disappointed. Staff are amazing, very friendly, helpful and quick. Food was very fast to arrive an was absolutely delicious. I had an amazing burger while my wife had a hotdog. Both very filling. Kids meals are a good size and both kids meals looked great. The milkshakes are the main reason we come as they are awesome. Great place to come, and even if you are in a rush, would definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic diner, the manager there is amazing, I can't remember his name, and I'm sorry for that. He arranged for my wife to have an ice cream floater, something that Eds haven't done for a number of years - what a diamond. Fantastic.

After walking in and unfortunately being shown to a table by a rather unpleasant maître d', who sighed and huffed and puffed when we asked to be seated, our friendly server Jo immediately came over to ask what drinks we would like and help us decode the menu, as well as actually making an effort to have a real conversation with us which was great! I highly recommend the Hot Cross Bun burger which is an Easter exclusive as an "Ed's plate" which comes with fries (I upgraded mine to cheesy fries), coleslaw and onion rings. Because we came on a Wednesday, they offer a hump day special where you get 2 for 1 when you order two of the same burgers, but because the hot cross bun burger wasn't on the system under the offer, our lovely server Jo gave us 50% our entire meal. Highly recommend after a hard day shopping and will definitely come again.

It was okay nothing special that jumped out at me. The food was genuinely just okay. The plate could've been a little bigger would be nice. The sweet potato fries made up for the meal.

A really good diner and usually spot on. However, the server refused to listen to my medical condition concerns. I can only eat small amounts of food, and though happy to pay adult prices, they still insisted on serving a full size plate of food, of which I ate quarter of the sausage and one piece of bacon. I did ask for a child sized portion but the server refused to engage or even check with their manager. They also forgot several other items which we asked 3 times for. Such a shame because a huge plate of food was wasted because the server was being obstinate.

I'm yet to have a bad experience with Eds Diner, if you want a fairly quick but quality burger/breakfast it's a good choice. I usually have a Smokey Joe burger which is a well presented slightly upmarket burger, with a side or two (I can recommend the waffle fries) it is a fine meal and I usually don't need a pudding after as it's fairly filling. My partner is vegetarian and the only time we struggled with a vegetarian option was a day after they reopened from lockdown when they were short on meat replacement stuff but having been back I can confirm they've replenished and had their more usual assortment of meat replacement options and other vegetarian options - the ones my partner has had are apparently very nice and up to quality of non vegetarian meals. Service was quick and polite although it wasn't too busy when we went. If I had one critique it would be that burgers (the one I had at least) was presented on a round high walled tray with paper on top, I'd personally prefer a plate but their solution works and presumably it works quite well for being easier to sanitize and clean.

Our first visit to the Designer Outlet and Ed's. Its on the 2nd floor of the food Quarter, next to Pizza Express if we remember correctly. There are around 8 different places to choose from. So plenty of choice. Its an American themed diner/restaurant. Good selection of food and drinks and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Service was prompt and we were not kept waiting. Well worth a visit and we will be going back the next time we go shopping at McArthurGlen.

Wouldn't normally eat here but they have fabulous special offers on (who can resist 2 for 1). Very clean, nice ambiance and friendly helpful staff, well worth the 20% tip. The burger wasn't the largest BUT it was really tasty, it was nice to actually enjoy the taste instead of it being smothered in mayo. And a big bonus for me, eating it off a plate, unhurried, without getting mayo and lettuce dropping out all over. Well done Eds I love this place.

For Cheshire Munchkins this is our first 5 star review!!! Both Munchkins plowed through the starter of chicken wings; highly recommended and come no1 for sampled chicken wings at an american dinner. For once you can truly tell these have not been pre-seasoned and packaged for easy cooking, all fresh and no plastic oven bag used on these. Munchkin 1 sampled the bacon cheese burger to outstanding satisfaction. 100% fresh and grilled to perfection. Great detail went into the presentation with the only negative being the burger was unseasoned before grilling. Still the after care pulled it all the way back to a 5 star review Munchkin 2 sampled, as always a choice of the chicken burger and commented on its tender middle with the most perfect crunch. We don’t usually comment on the fries, but these deserve praise. Staff were always friendly which is a testimony to common days. COVID safe and by far this is the best INDEPENDENT American dinner that defo captures the yank dank. Well done.

The milkshake was delicious even though they'd run out of ice cream and needed to use frozen yoghurt instead. I liked the service; the waiter was friendly. We went to the designer outlet for a bit of shopping, and we decided to go to Eds for a burger which didn't disappoint, my husband had a veggie burger and I had the cheese burger both with Eds plates,the onion rings were lovely and crispy and burgers were lovely as were the fries, I wasn't keen on the coleslaw but my husband said his was nice, the drinks were nice to, the service was ok we seemed to have waited ages for our food but when it arrives it was well cooked, and hot, I use a wheel chair which they helped with sitting us where we could sit comfortably. Will definitely return I enjoy a good burger now and again it a treat

Great, authentic Americqn food with fast service pending how busy the restraunt is like any. The prices can be high for the type of food served however for a family occasion or special treat its an ideal place for food lovers and memory makers alike. The milkshakes are well worth a try to if that's your thing.

One of the servers sneezed into his hands and didn't wash them I reported this to the guy wearing all black and he mentioned it to the guy who just glared at me but still didn't go wash his hands in fact he just carried on wiping the cutlery, so will never eat here again can only imagine how many people will end up poorly due to poor hygiene

Fully recommend the all day breakfast. Kept us going! Great service, reasonably priced, staff weren't very helpful at disposing of the wasps buzzing about upsetting people though. We will return for another brekky sometime - hopefully to eat in a wasp free zone
