M. N.Great food great cocktails. The baby changer table needs fixing as it looks like it's going to fall off the wall. Other than that one thing a perfect meal. The fried chicken is unreal!
Y. G.Pretty place and beautiful setting, found less options for food but tasted really good and priced little more than average. Loads of options for tasty drinks friendly staff who were really busy and working hard. The cheque was a bit expensive but enjoyed spending and to mention something interesting toilets looked very clean and good. Give it a try

M. A.Im a frequent traveler who's been to over 35 countries. I Love food and this restaurant is easily one of the BEST RESTAURANTS i've ever been. The food is worth every penny. They can easily charge more for the food they are serving. Amazinggg food and really nice service too.
Try their Yuzu Curd Meringue Pie and Vodka Batter Cod.
This is probably the first review ive written in google reviews even after dining in some of the worlds best restaurants but this place is a hidden gem. Amazing place.
S.Lovely venue, great cocktails but food is vastly overpriced. £12 for 2x chicken thighs and no accompaniment. £5 for a small amount of humous with no bread.... 1x flat bread = £4. Yoghurt with some sumac made no sense with grilled sea bream.
There are other similar themed restaurants in the area that are better with cheaper prices.
Come here for cocktails - the on menu selection is impressive. Personally wouldn't return for food

Very quiet restaurant but wasn’t asked if we wanted drinks, left for long periods of time, some strange belittling comments from a member of staff rather than friendly & helpful.
Vegan options very tahini orientated & some staff confusion over what did or didn’t include dairy when ordering the vegan option. Falafel would have been better split into three smaller chunks rather than one big doughy slab. Would give it another go to see if service was different to try the changing menu.

M.Quite a large restaurant with a Japanese 'izakaya' style menu. Food is well suited to the excellent beers available. We enjoyed the bao buns tempura furikake (sweetcorn fritters) and karaage which is Japanese fried chicken
J. G.A warm, chilled atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the braised lamb shoulder flatbread. The cocktails were also really good. Definitely going to go again.

My parents came back and said they had a fantastic time. They quickly expressed how delicious the food was and how wonderful the staff were (as well as a cosy/ relaxing atmosphere). They’re normally very hard to please when it comes to food and had said they enjoyed it so much they’d definitely consider going for their anniversary.

R. B.The staff were great but sadly the food was really lacking. The salt and pepper chips had no hint of salt or pepper and massively lacked in flavour, and the bang bang cauliflower didn't have anywhere near enough sauce. The rice with the crispy chilli beef wasn't seasoned and the gyozas lacked flavour. The burger bao's didn't have enough filling and were pretty underwhelming.
There was no beer on tap and we were served lukewarm bottles instead. Overall I was really disappointed with the standard of food. For the money it simply wasn't worth it. To reiterate though the staff were lovely.

R. U.We went to take advantage of the 20% student discount and two for £14 cocktails. The two FOH staff we interacted with were both very polite, friendly and professional at all times.
The food was really nice, however the broth in the ramen was a verging on gravy which made the experience a bit strange. Very flavorful and tasty though. The gyoza was a bit overcooked which dried it out a bit, but still very nice.
I wouldn't pay £12 each for the cocktails, so it felt more like I was just paying full price with the two for £14 offer. At that price point though they were great and worth it.
The decor was very nice, lots of greenery and wood mixed with warm lighting gave it a cosy feel.
Unfortunately there was a halfhcut family with an 18 month(ISH) child roaming around the restaurant and rolling around on the floor during the whole meal. Many times they came right up to our table and it was really off-putting. It was a less than busy night, so I understand the management not saying anything to their biggest bill, but it's definitely put me off returning on a weekday.
Finally, the inclusion of a 15% ISH service charge on the bill was upsetting. I really don't like not having a choice on the tip I leave, and feel it's an Americanism we definitely don't need. However, I asked the server who it goes to, and he explained that it's shared between the servers at the end of the month, with none going to managers. It's a little more than I would have tipped, but not much, so I left it. An option on the card machine to leave a chosen gratuity amount would be much better.
Unfortunately, this combined with the plethora of choices in York leads me to believe I will probably never return out of choice. A shame really, as the staff were honestly great.

Espectacular
El lugar es precioso, el personal atento, amable y muy dispuesto a asesorar tanto con las bebidas como con el qué comer.
Los cócteles con y sin alcohol de diez. Y la comida impresionante, muy bien presentada, salían a su debido tiempo y cada plato más rico que el anterior!
Súper recomendadísimo y yo por supuesto que volveré!!
