Mexican food at its best! We ordered the tapas (5 dishes) which in my view was a bargain. The dishes individually weren’t small either so for two people it was just right. It’s one one of the best flavours that I’ve had that reminded me of my time in Mexico. I’m no Mexican food expert but both me and my wife loved the flavours and I’ve only had that once in the uk. I have to mention the service from the waitress was excellent, polite, kind and very patient with my son when he was placing his order!

A brilliant experience at York today. Our first cocktail was brought immediately and we worked our way through many during our 90 minute slot for the bottomless brunch. The food was delicious and very filling. I can't fault the waiting staff.

We have been to a few restaurants in this chain now which have been good, and the York one was no exception. Gabor was excellent on front of house, we had a delicious set of vegan tacos, lovely mocktails, and the final bill was very reasonable. We'll definitely be going back, and looking forward to sitting up on the terrace next time!

I didn't have very high expectations for this place but I am very pleased to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent and the food delicious. Reasonably priced and cocktails 2 for 1 on a Saturday so was excellent. Our server Caitlin was very attentive and very apologetic when we waited longer than expected for our drinks due to bottomless brunch parties. Overall a good experience and will go back.

Atmosphere and music was very nice and lively. Pretty far from the rest of the main area of the city so there is that quietness to it too. I ordered the vegetarian enchilada and it was pretty good, however both ends of the enchilada had either raw or hardened tortilla which was not the best. But flavours were great and friendly service too. Would recommend for sure for a good Mexican experience.

We went here on Sunday and were disappointed to find the roof terrace was closed. However, the staff were great, and delivered our cocktails very quickly. I liked the 2for1 offers as they made our celebration well priced. There's a great selection of drinks, cocktails and mocktails for the driver. I can't comment on the food as we weren't eating, but there looked to be a good selection.

What a great surprise, we went for 3 tapas and 2 for 1 cocktails. The caipirinhas were the best, made perfectly. The tapas were so delicious and great portions, dips and sauces were great. The music and ambiance were fantastic. And the service was the best, always smiling and attentive. What a great place, we will be back.

Really great familiar taste of the US. Have been looking for a super crispy and flavorful fried chicken sandwich in the UK outside of fast food, and this place is it! The fries are delightfully crispy as well and everything tastes wonderful. 2-for-1 cocktails all day everyday is a good lure too! Very nice service and lovely roof-top terrace.

Dropped in for a late lunch because my boyfriend was missing a taste of home. Five sides for £27 is an absolute steal and for two people it filled us up more than enough. That and the two for one cocktails meant we were having a fantastic time all for around £40! Our server Jess P was lovely and made sure we got a cute little window seat so we could people watch and enjoy some sun. The Brazilian fried chicken (pictured at the top) and the Pink Guava Colada (to the left) is to die for. Stop by if you get the chance and are looking for something different, you won't be disappointed.

Ide love to keep this place a secret but I need to comment on how amazing it is! From the 241, the bottomless brunch and the selection of cocktails - it’s all flawless. However, the icing on the cake is the staff. They go above and beyond every single time and really make the experience so special. Not as good as I was led to believe. One particular thing I was disappointed in is the refried beans, which were whole instead of mashed which is preferable in Mexican food. The Nacho's were just ok too and they seem to add some very bright pink looking salsa. You don't need to mess with the basics with things like Nacho's. Also, it's very expensive given the portion sizes.

Best Tapas I have tasted and nice cocktails. Great service provided. It was a bit cold sat under the air conditioning so be aware if you want to be warm. There was a noisy crowd in when we got there but they soon moved on. Will definitely go back for some more gorgeous food!

Great place! On Thursday they have a 40% off food deal with NUS cards which is great! All the food was delicious! I had the ribs, which were amazing, the meat fell off the bone. My friend had the sirloin steak which was incredible, particularly the sweetcorn purée. I had the Banana in a crispy pasty for desert, which was unusual but still tasty. Our waiter for the night was Emin who was always smiling and ready to help. Overall would definitely recommend!

Staff were very attentive, food came through relatively fast, especially considering were there on a busy Saturday evening. Food was very tasty and flavourful, no complaints at all. Only thing to mention (granted this wasn't an issue for me, but may be so for others) the only toilets available (that I was aware of) were upstairs, so be prepared to climb to find them.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant during a weekend trip with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing food, excellent cocktails, whilst also loving the warm welcome we received courtesy of the staff and the general vibe. I want to give a particular thanks to Gabi who was our server and was highly attentive, he made sure our drinks were quickly replenished whilst also paying particular attention to my boyfriend’s allergies. I would highly recommend visiting the restaurant if you’re in the area; whilst I know it is a chain I do believe it’s one of a kind with the staff they have!

Not eaten here before but would definitely come again. I had the chicken fajitas and my girlfriend had the beef burrito and a couple of cocktails each. Overall service was good and staff attentive. Music could of been a bit louder but probably reduced in volume due to Covid guidance. If you’ve never been before give it a go :)

First time trying this restaurant chain. Staff member working that day was very nice, helpful and gave good service. We were there with my 1 year old baby. The food was quite good and good value - we ordered 1 starter, 2 mains, a kid's meal and the '2for1' mocktails. Cost was £49. The kids meal (chicken crunchies) were like chicken nuggets with a very hard, thick batter on the outside and it wasn't palatable for my baby. I'm sure older kids might enjoy it more though.

We had a meal here today and was so delish!! We both had the Copacabana burger (spicy chicken burger) and fries. Food was hot in temperature which is good and the burger was so so tasty . Asked for extra sauce in a pot which comes inside the burger and that was no problem. Lovely quick service polite and not to expensive . Thankyou for a lovely meal

I'm not a lover of big chains and had low expectations visiting Las Iguanas for the first time. However both the stater (zinga chicken) and main (burrito bowl) were utterly delicious. Drinks were expensive, particularly as a single diner (working away) but 241 cocktails seemed more reasonable. On the whole, I can warmly recommend.

Went for bottomless lunch yesterday for a work do. Really good tasty food, and price for what you get. We had a vegetarian with us who said she was spoilt for choice which is always a worry when you go out. Really great atmosphere and staff. A lovely time was had, I know we weren't the quietest of bunches. Just like to point out there's also a lift to the top floor which isn't common in restaurants. Would definitely recommend and return

Just enjoyed the most gorgeous meal here! We went for the tapas as couldn't choose one single dish from the menu. It didn't disappoint - from the tender Brazilian chicken to the meatballs, enchiladas and fried cheese, everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty. We even asked our lovely waiter Emin what was in one of the sauces, and he went and asked the kitchen for us! The cocktails here are also great, two for one when we visited, so enjoyed a couple of caipirinhas and mai tais with our meal. I wish we lived closer as would be back often, although maybe a good thing that it's a rare treat!

Pretty good place with latin american food, such as mexican, argentinian, cuban and brazillian. The place’s mood is relaxed and casual. The service was great and surprisingly quick. I ordered a plate of nachos which ressemble really well the nachos made in Mexico. Las Iguanas has some offers and discounts on drinks and cocktails so it appears to be a good place to hang out and have a few drinks. One of this offers that I saw was buy a mocktail and get the same one for free. The prices are decent, they are not either cheap nor expensive. For the plate of nachos and two cokes the final price was between 15 and 16 pounds.

I have been to La Iguanas York twice recently and, as a Mexican cuisine connoisseur, I find it be some of the tastiest Mexican cuisine I have had. Excellent food, cocktails and service.

Went with my wife and our 3 kids (13, 10 & 8) to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary at 4pm on Saturday. Arrived and we were seated upstairs, was initially very noisy due to a Hen party in full effect which was absolutely fine. Food was very nice tbh although it appeared that although multiple staff were present (5) upstairs only 1 was doing most of the table service. Service was just barely okay as a result of that. We were asked after being served with our meals if we wanted anything else and requested a jug of tap water to accompany our paid drinks. This was sat on the bar and never arrived and nobody available to ask for it. Requested the bill to find the optional 10% service was pre added to the bill. Asked for it to be removed and paid what we thought was reasonable for the service received. The 1 active server was very hardworking but overstretched tbh.

Had a nice meal here with my partner, our 2-year-old and our friends. Both my 2-year-old and one of our friends have a nut allergy which our waitress was extremely accommodating of. She Had very good knowledge of the menu and the processes in the kitchen, as well as bringing us a tablet to review allergen information on the menu. The 2-for-1 cocktails were delicious and rather good value. The food was a bit hit and miss - some in our party loved it however I thought my enchiladas were a little bland and certainly no better than you would find elsewhere. I would however like to visit again to try some of the other options on the menu.

BOGOF cocktails and mocktails offer made for good drinks value - mid day Sunday was a bit early to hit the booze but the non alcoholic ones were nice and fruity. Good value if you go as a couple but not good with kids meals. I went with 2 kids and whilst their meals were free with a full priced adult meal, they were not good. My son's macaroni cheese was over cooked and swimming in excessive amounts of cheddar, and my daughter's pizza was undercooked. My fajitas were very good although could have used a spicier salsa to accompany them. The service from Michael was second to none, very attentive to all tables despite it being very busy.

Went here for a bite to eat last night, it wasn't our first choice (We were going to get a pizza from Jamie's Italian but it was lol booked up) but it was a good alternative. It was very busy and very noisy, we were sat just at the start of the restaurant practically next to the bar area which was full. In hindsight we should have asked for a different table. We had the enchilada and burrito and overall it was good, although I did find a rogue piece of either beef or duck in my chicken enchilada which was bizarre. I'm always a little cautious when food arrives quickly, I find it a little disconcerting and it leaves me wondering if it's been in a microwave. Saying that I ate it all and so did my boyfriend. We had churros for dessert and they were SO good! Much better than those at Chiquitos, the caramel dip is delicious. We were pleased that the cocktails were 2-4-1 which is a rarity on a Saturday night so we managed to save a bit of money on drinks. Overall a decent meal and at £21.20 each for a main, cocktail and a shared dessert we couldn't really complain. A good place to go for decent food, good service and if you don't want to spend loads of money.

Was a wonderful place to eat. The service was top notch, friendly, and easily relatable in conversation. My only downsides to my visit, one of which was acceptable, were two things: One was that the sign outside said to enjoy the roof view in the roof garden. Now being the middle of January, the waiter,with good reason to not be a frozen ice loli, declined me such privilege. That being said, the sign shouldn't advertise that when winter is along. The second issue, was when I ordered my steak. I clearly indicated "Medium Rare", which on my first plate was served Medium to nearly Medium Well. Spoke with the waiter and the Chef and they both corrected my dish to my palate. Compliments to the due diligence and the food.

I liked it. Food is really good, the people that's bringing food is really attentive. The price it's quite high though, I feel like burgers are quite overpriced.
