Amazing. Haven't been here for quite a few years as never had a good meal but on this occasion I can honestly say it was the best meal I have ever had there. I had lamb balti and it was delicious the meat was very tender and tasty. Would definitely go back 👍

Not been here for many years but it still serves very good indian food. Established restaurant with plenty of parking. Very good service and all of our party were given a 20% off loyalty card for future visits. Recommended.

The curries are nice but a few years ago I went to the "huge buffet" as it said it was ok every Sunday and there was nothing huge about it. No Madras on the buffet which is what I always get. Reccomend going for the regular menu instead of the buffet as it was disappointing. Can't comment on Delivery as I live in acomb and nowhere near here so it's impossible to get a delivery having said that there used to be another Parvin in acomb which wasn't a restaurant it was take away and delivery only which was decent but it no longer exists.

Well our friends recommended Parvin as they said it was a fantastic curry and I have to agree. The wife and I had the mixed starter for two. She had a chicken balling and I had a lamb garlic chilli nagga. Keema rice, poppadoms & a naan. Everything was hot, spicy and tasted fabulous. Tender meat and enough left over for another meal tomorrow. Easily the best curry we have had in a long time.

Super Sunday value buffet at £13 a head it's a bargain. A nice starter selection including onion bhaji, deep fried fish and a mint sauce. Mains had a small but delicious selection including masala, korma, aloo, saag and others..

Not eaten here for many years, even though we live close by. After having a couple of average experiences at different curry houses in York, my youngest son and I decided to give it a try. Wow, wish I had come back sooner! Restaurant was busy, it was Friday, but service was excellent and friendly. My son had a Chicken Chaat for starters and I had the King Prawn Puri, both were delicious and generous portions. For mains he had a Chicken Silsila which was medium and I had a Garlic Chilli Chicken Balti which was medium hot with sliced green chilli, again absolutely delicious. We ordered sides of Keema Rice and a Peshwari Naan, both really tasty and perfectly cooked. The food isn't the cheapest but I'd rather pay a bit more for an amazing meal than less for something below average, and this was amazing. We nearly went back the following evening with my wife but need to watch the waistline pre-Christmas!! We will however be back soon! I don't write many reviews but such a good experience deserves the positive feedback. If, like us, you haven't been here for a while, I can highly recommend the Parvin. Genuinely the best curry I have had in years!

After trying every Indian Restaurant in Haxby, Easingwold, Thirsk and one in York, which has a good reputation, we've found one that tops the lot. On Friday we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka Malayan with Coconut and Pilau Rice, Peshwari Nan's and assorted Poddadoms. It was excellent. Good portions, piping hot and ready to collect by friendly staff when we arrived. For us most definitely the best Indian around our area. Delicious. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Cannot recommend this place enough! Food was out of this world and staff were so attentive. Came here for my dad's 70th birthday as we had come to York for the weekend. When they found out it was dad's birthday, they played music and bought out a cake with a sparkler without us even asking. So thoughtful!!! We really appreciated how welcoming everyone was :)

Very good use of an old pub to create a pleasant atmosphere. There appeared to be a lot of locals dining. We were passing through and needed parking space for our campervan(so didn't want to go into York centre). Very good food, polite and prompt service. Can't fault it and will go again in future.

Where do I start. Entered the restaurant at 19.40, the rest of the guys have poppadoms I don't like them. The beer is served and we wait, and wait,and wait. 21.10 We finally get our main meal. Yes it was a little busy! I had Makhani which was a thick gluppy porridge like substance with chicken, with a cheese topping. It did have an overpowering amount of coconut in it. Staff were very accommodating and polite. Only 1 male and female toilet, room nice and bright.

Here for the buffet. This seems to be a victim of its own success. The service is slow and not massively friendly. Had to ask repeatedly for drinks, and starters. Were not allowed to go and start the buffet due to either no food or no plates. Had to ask for the bill repeatedly... All in all nice food spoiled by the service. I doubt I will be returning. I would rather go to the Bengal Brasserie in town.

The Parvin is open for eat in customers again. We could not wait as although the take-aways have been good they are no substitute for the real experience of friendly, great service and truly fresh delicious food. Every Friday Paul and I get a take out from Parvin Acomb. Paul sticks to his his usual Parvin special and I vary week on week. They know us really well now and know what we like. There is always lots of meat in the curry and it's good quality. We ask them to pep ours up because we like it hot and they are not shy in hotting the order up on request. I've tried a lot of side dishes, starters and naans and they are spot on too. I did try a few other restaurants when I first moved to York - big mistake. Sticking to Parvin forever more and have done for 4 years. They deliver quickly, food piping hot and a friendly service. Highly recommended. Jodie and Paul
