We have recently worked at this care home installing Wi-Fi on behalf of BT. Staff have been really friendly and helpful. Facilities are excellent and at high standards. The residents are a joy! =]

My mother has been a resident at Maycroft Manor for a year, so a good time to write a review.
Before choosing Maycroft with my mother, I had spent 3 months looking and comparing other care homes and I had been generally disappointed.
When we found Maycroft it seemed to offer everything my mother was looking for, so we both had very high expectations when my mother moved in.
We have never been disappointed, the staff are all lovely always cheerful and helpful, nothing seems to much trouble for them.
My mother loves her room with her patio and bird feeder and there is always a range of activities and trips out which she enjoys if they are going to a pub!
The food is great and varied, mum certainly loves her puddings now.
So I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Maycroft to any potential residents or families my experience has been first class and if I am away and cannot visit for a bit I can rest easy knowing my mother is receiving the best possible care.

My father has been a resident at Maycroft Manor for several months now. It is a lovely modern home with very nice rooms equivalent to a good 4* hotel and excellent facilities. My dad requires considerable medical and personal attention and he is very happy with his care. I am absolutely delighted by the attention that all the staff give to my dad and the other residents. I visit a couple of times a week and Maycroft is always a warm, happy, cheerful, peaceful home. The residents are often charming and the staff are completely delightful - they enjoy working with the elderly and it shows - the residents and other families I have spoken with all say that they feel safe and well-cared for by friendly, helpful staff.
There is a review below that is extremely negative and it puzzles me greatly, as it is so different from everything that I have experienced that I wonder whether the reviewer has muddled up which care home this is, or is perhaps an internet troll. I couldn't let it go unchallenged. Personally I highly recommend Maycroft as probably the best care home in Brighton and Hove.

My mother has lived at Maycroft for about eighteen months and considers it her home, NOT a home! She knew she could no longer live life to the full independently and the wonderful staff there have enabled her to enjoy her life despite her frailties. The staff are always cheerful and welcome visitors as if they were family members. I cannot recommend the place highly enough. I live over a hundred miles away but rest easy in the knowledge that the correct care choice has been made.

My aunt has been a resident at Maycroft for over three years and her care has been excellent throughout.
The staff are all very considerate and caring, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are also consistent, the home retains staff and so the residents are greeted by familiar and friendly faces, which makes a huge difference to the residents general well-being. My aunt knows all the care staff and having that relationship makes her more comfortable and settled.
The care home is a new build and so is very well designed with respect to those who are less mobile and it also has a fresh and new feel to it, more like a hotel than a residential home.
The food is of a very high standard, three meals a day plus afternoon tea served in the bistro with freshly made cake and biscuits, or fresh fruit if preferred. I would definitely recommend this care home.

My Mum is a resident at Maycroft Manor and there are many positives for her in living there. The staff are genuinely happy, caring, attentive and enthusiastic. The teams work well with relatives to deliver a whole care package. There's a whole range of internal and external activities to suit a range of tastes. The environment is well designed bright and clean. Maycroft pulls all the different ingredients together to deliver a first class service.

We took a very long time searching for residential care for my Mother-in-Law who has moderate dementia. The Hallmark homes , in Kew and in Brighton, were head and shoulders above the rest. We were very pleased with the bright and welcoming physical environment and the level of activities and events.
Since September, we have been delighted with the thoughtful and caring attitude of all staff and have been kept informed and involved day to day. I would not hesitate to recommend Maycroft Manor.

My aunt was a resident at Maycroft for nearly 2 years until she passed away recently. Her stay at Maycroft enabled her to have a comfortable and happy time - she was very fond of the carers and they treated her with a great deal of respect and love. The medical team took excellent care of her keeping on top of any issues that arose.

My Mother has only been in Maycroft for just 6 weeks. She suffers from dementia, so from her point of view it is very difficult to know how she feels. So this is from my point of view, she was very unsettled for the first 2-3 weeks as she couldn’t understand where she was and wouldn’t leave her room, but the staff were kind to her and didn’t push her to do anything against her wishes. The last couple of weeks she is out and about and occasionally joining in some of the activities.
There is a very nice Bistro downstairs which when I visit we go down to and have afternoon tea and cake, she believes we have actually gone out for an hour.
When I visit quite often the staff approach me to say how Mum is settling and what she’s been up to.
Mum never wished to go into a care home, but with her dementia and at the age of 97 there was no alternative as 24 hour care was necessary. After visiting many care homes I feel we have made the right decision in choosing Maycroft.

This is a cheerful place, welcoming to family of residents at all times. My Mum loves the carers and it gives us all a great deal of comfort that they do take so much care. The facilities and activities are really lovely, every visit I am asked if I would like a cuppa and a biscuit, there are external visits from musicians, singers, poetry readings, quizzes, group crosswords, cinema, library and so on. Residents are there because they need care and monitoring and the staff make that their priority while also being concerned about emotional welfare. Just visit yourself and see.

My sister and i are thrilled with the care she is receiving from Maycroft Manor. She is far more social now and joins in activities. Which she never did at her previous home. The staff are patient and kind and never rush her, mum always looks clean and tidy. She still has her bad days, but that is part of her dementia.

This certainly looks and feels the sort of place you would want your loved one to be cared for in. The accommodation is 4/5 star hotel level and the staff we meet on our tour were all very pleasant and accommodating. As someone else has commented it is “as pricey as hell” with weekly costs now increased for 2020 by 10%+ to now start at £1550 per week. How care homes can justify this increase and charge is difficult to comprehend.

A very well appointed Home with really great Staff. I have one concern and that is, what happens to Clients when their finances run out and they are still living? That concerns me a great deal as a lifelong Registered Nurse. I don't think I would like the answer to that as I suspect they would have to leave. I hope I am wrong.

Writing this review after few weeks of visiting my nana. I have to say that the staff take care of my nana here a lot. They also motivate her to be as independent as ever.

Pricey as hell but very clean and well organized with lovely staff.
Would recommend.
