D. B.Reviews are always subjective and no two cases are the same. I know when I was looking for a care home for my mum the more reviews I could read the better because they were from people who would be in the same situation as myself.
My mum was residing in the Sapphire Unit which is a new part of Diamond House so the overall appearance of the home and rooms is fresh and modern. The food is very good and there is always a freshly baked homemade cake each day. I got to know a lot of the staff and most of them were caring, kind individuals and my mum had a good relationship with a few of them in particular.
However her stay was not without incident and when these issues were raised with the management criticism was not taken well. I didn't see or get asked for input into a care plan and there was no wish to work through the issues that had occurred. If you are prepared to put up and shut up then this is a perfectly acceptable home. If not then I suggest you look elsewhere.
