I would like to give my thanks to Susannah (Manager) and her team at Monson care home. They worked tirelessly to make my wishes for dad's last few days/ weeks to be spent close to myself and my sister. Dad was at the end of life and was fast tracked for discharge from Rotherham District Hospital. Being an out of County discharge created numerous problems. Susannah and her team spent many hours communicating with the Integrated Discharge Team and Commissioners to speed up my dad's discharge from Rotherham. I was kept informed and updated regularly with compassion. A bed and mattress were ordered and District Nurses contacted to ensure that Dad would receive a multi disciplinary care package.
Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be and dad deteriorated rapidly and died 2 days before the planned discharge. Monson care home went above and beyond to take my dad and I will be eternally grateful for them trying to make our wishes come true.
Thankyou

Monson Retirement Home is an amazing place with exceptionally well-trained staff who are kind and attentive to all the residents.
My mother moved here after a spell in hospital. She was struggling to walk and was unable to look after herself. She is now a different person and more like to Mum I love and remember. The home worked hard with the CPN to correct the medication for her dementia and she is now happy and active. When we visit she always looks lovely and has made friends with a lovely group of ladies. If the weather is nice she is out most days in town having a coffee with other residents. Thank you.

My aunt sadly has been having real problems with mobility and looking after herself at home and was going downhill at home.
After lots of research we found a local home in Lincoln with an outstanding from the Care Quality Commission a few months ago.
On my visits, I have been so impressed with the home itself which is always spotless and comfortable but even more so by the care.
I have seen staff interacting both with my aunt but also with other residents with other problems like dementia and I can't believe how patient and reassuring they are. The respect shown to all residents is the most remarkable aspect of the home and the most reassuring thing I have seen.
My aunt has made a remarkable recovery now she is getting the care she needs at Monson Street. She is now more mobile than she has been in six months and enjoying life again.
It's an amazing place and I can't recommend it highly enough.

My Grandma has been into Monson Retirement Home for 2 weeks as she was not safe in her own home. My Grandma has said she would like to stay at Monson Retirement Home for good as she is loving having lots of people to talk to and there is always something to do there. I couldn't ask for a better place for my grandma to be as she is very happy and the staff are excellent and very friendly.

4 years ago my mother, who had lived independently with help from the family, couldn't cope any more and was in a bleak place in her life. We looked at several care homes for her and we chose this one, not just because it had a happy atmosphere but because it had modern, en-suite facilities to each room. I soon discovered that it is so much more than that. It is owner managed which is a great plus as any issue is dealt with swiftly. I visit a number of times a week and I have only ever seen, fun, friendly and caring staff. It is clean, well maintained and has extra facilities such as skype which we use regularly to keep her in touch with other family members.
Earlier this month, my mother celebrated her 100th birthday at the home. The owners were brilliant and joined in the fun. It was quite a big occasion and they devoted 3 extra members of staff solely to help during the day such as preparing the room, welcoming our guests, setting out the buffet and cleaning up afterwards, all contributing to an enjoyable, memorable party, not just for my mum but also for everyone who attended.
My mother is totally happy to live there, she loves the company and knows exactly where she is in life. Because she is content, so are we as a family, and we thank Sam and Mark and all the brilliant staff for giving her such a happy and safe home.

This is an amazing retirement home. It is excellent from all aspects, the management, the staff and the services. The carers are incredibly humane and friendly with the residents. We have just had a 100th birthday party there and everyone went over the top to make it a wonderful day for everyone, especially Mum. BRAVO.

Thank you for the excellent CPD opportunity this morning. Both Claire and myself were impressed by the individualised care and high quality care environment at the retirement home. All staff made us feel welcome and it was clear that they focus on meeting all residents care needs and support them to remain as independent as possible. We look forward to sharing examples of your good practice with our learners.

Recently worked in this beautiful home, and it is utterly outstanding in every aspect. I have never seen anything like it! Absolutely wonderful, a prime example of how all homes should be!
