For the last 5 years I have worked exclusively with Constantia Care as a live-in carer. My sevice has been rewarded. If you are thinking of joining an agency I would definitely recommend them, I have been loyal to them and they in return. The staff are very friendly, kind, helpful and supportive and will always fo their best for you.

I have been with Constantia care for about 1 year and 8 months. I will say that the training I went on was professional and very complex. The staff were very knowledgeable and extremely professional. The support I got from my care coordinator was always friendly and super helpful. She was extremely professional and always looking for ways to make my situation with a difficult client better. It is important to have an office team that take care of the carers' needs as well as those of the client. I thank Constantia Management for always being available to us. We have been using Constantia for over 2 ½ years for the care of friends. One had Vascular Dementia and was supported until the end of his life. Now Constantia continues to provide us with Live in Care for his partner. Constantia focuses strongly on their customers and their care workers, supporting both the client and their carer. The collaboration between the operations team and the carers is excellent. The entire team will always go the extra mile efficiently and with the needed emotional support. This is valuable because care is a very demanding service and needs to be adapted for each client’s needs. They provide a holistic approach to care, taking care of our friend’s physical hygiene daily routine, as well as providing an emotional stimulus and balance. Constantia understands the needs of this household and is providing us with the required high level service. In this time of the Covid-19 we are so very pleased to be client of a company that has informed us daily and has a Zero-Case report of any related casualties nor infected cases. We highly recommend Constantia and value our collaboration

I worked with Constantia Care as a live in carer. I have always found them to be very accommodating and available, they have been able to offer me many placements. I found their training to be very good and the care coordinators are always available.

It was recently revealed to us that our mother had terminal cancer. She kept the diagnosis from us. When it became obvious that she was deteriorating we called Constantia Care. One of the Care Supervisors attended the next day to carry out an assessment. We were advised that She had less than 24 hours to live and that her current pallative care team from the local hospice were equipped to care for her. Nevertheless their carer stayed with me and her for around 6 hours offering her help, advice and care. Constantia didn't charge me a penny and the help, support and guidance was invaluable in preparing me for what did in fact happen within those next 24hrs. A fantastic company and one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you again.

My Father in Law was diagnosed in 2018 with Dementia and as his behaviour became more difficult at home we employed Constantia Care on a daily basis to assist my Mother in law with his care. We always found the staff helpful , polite and efficient and he developed a good bond with them. Sadly after a few months he had to go into a home and has since passed away. Thank you Constantia Care for your help when we needed it most.

We employed the agency for 6 months during 2018. We made it clear at the initial interview that long term care was required and that consistancy (ie same carer) was essential. Carers sent were generally very good but instead of remaining long term they changed every few weeks as were either going back to South Africa for holidays or had other commitments. We subsequently learned that the carers working for this agency are self employed and the longest contract they can be given is for 6 weeks at a time. ..also that many self employed carers work for several different agencies as well as doing private work. Despite many promises we never did achieve consistancy of care (even after agreeing to have a rotation of 2-3 carers who would be permanent ) and the constant change of carers was incredibly unsettling and time consuming. In addition we were sent accounts intended for other clients on 2 occasions as well as being sent incorrect accounts. We eventually gave up and opted for employing privately I initially recommended the agency to many friends/family/colleagues etc on the basis of the standard of their carers but I would not do so in future (other than if a short term placement is required) as the coordination left a lot to be desired ( even the carers themselves attested to this).

I ENCOURAGE THIS TYPE OF TRAINING TO BE ONGOING GIVEN THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SUBJECTS AT HAND AS THS WILL BENEFIT ME IN MY ROLE AS A CARER AND HOW I CAN POSITIVELY CONTRIBUTE TO THE QUALITY PROCESS.
