H. B.Outstanding Care Home. My mother in law has been given excellent care during the past three years she has been a resident at Cedar Court Care Home. Further praise must be given to all the staff over the Christmas period when they reassured us that she would be well cared for whilst we went on a family holiday.The staff even emailed photos to us - above and beyond the 'call of duty'! A big thank you to all the staff for their continuing tender, loving care.
L. H.The staff and management are superb in this home. The home is newly decorated and furnished. The owner's have really spent a lot of money making it look like a five star hotel but a home for the residents. The standards of care is the best I have seen in any care home in the area. The activities is great for the residents and the food is cooked by a good quality chef. The staff are always smiling and it is nice to see a very happy team working together. Keep up the good work.
P. S.Beautiful home. I would like to thank all the staff for the wonderful way they looked after my Father. They are very caring and compassionate. The home is more like a lovely hotel rather than a home. It has changed my outlook on homes. If I ever have to go into a home I sincerely hope it is like Cedar Court in Whittlesey. I cannot praise this home enough, from the facilities and staff 10 out of 10. The Director is available and he has even provided us with his mobile number. Thank you for this personalised service.
A. B.Whenever I visited, the team clearly knew each resident, talked to them and listened to them. In the case of my Dad, everyone allowed him to be in whatever world he happened to be in and interacted with him on that basis. Allowing him to feel valued.
I witnessed not just physical and medical care, but, the mental and social elements of care too. Not just lip service to it – real proper interaction. The level of care provided to Dad was only rivalled by that given to me as relative and visitor. Knowing he was looked after and as happy as could be, was important and helped me through the night. But the actual compassion and care shown to me directly demonstrated what exemplary people are in the team. I was always made to feel welcome, time was always made if I wanted to discuss Dad or just have a chat and cup of tea. This helped make it a ‘home’ for Dad as opposed to simply a care home. Everyone’s attitude made me consider it as his home, and that lightened the load for me enormously.
