I recently took a Direct Access course with Camrider in Bedford and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I had a combination of Dave and Steve throughout my lessons, and they were both brilliant. Patient, knowledgeable, helpful, personable and above all else they constantly tailored the course to ensure it focused in on the areas that you needed the most help or improvement in. It is clear that they are excellent at teaching both experienced riders and complete beginners. From their help I passed my MOD1 and MOD2 first time after 4 lessons (including a break because of COVID, which Camrider dealt with very well). CAMRider Bedford is a fantastic riding school - went from CBT to Mod1 and then passed my Mod2 on the second attempt after making a silly mistake (my fault, not theirs!) on my first attempt. Even though my journey was greatly elongated due to the Covid lockdowns, everyone at the school remembered me, my strengths and weaknesses and really contributed hugely to me getting the result that I needed. A special shout out to Dave who was my main instructor for the Mod 1 and Mod 2: he has so much experience and really knows how to get the best out of his students. A real pleasure to learn with CAMRider!

Used camrider for my mod2 training and test. Had very little to do with the company/management other than the telephone booking, which was easy enough. Seems very expensive in comparison to other riding schools. Only went with camrider as they had a cancellation for the following week and I was desperate to get my mod2 done! I had the pleasure of having Steve as my instructor - such great guy, really put me at ease and was friendly throughout the entire process. I did my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2 through CamRider Bedford. Steve in particular was such a great instructor! Patient, thorough and generally a really nice bloke! You can tell he cares! For my mod 1 me Steve and another learner went to the test centre. While waiting for the other learner to take their test I can see the nerves all over Steve's face, it is so important to him to see his students pass! If you're lucky enough to have Steve as an instructor you'll find it informative and have a laugh with him while you learn! Dave @ Camrider Bedford was recommended to me to complete the final MOD2 test I needed to get my full licence & I wasn't disappointed. He's a great instructor, friendly, genuinely happy when a pupil passes & I would recommend this school to others thinking of pursuing their motorbike licence. He's a natural at teaching, throughout my sessons Dave constantly provided feedback to ensure good habits are drilled in so it's becomes muscle memory.

Absolutely fantastic training. I did by CBT in February 2017 and started the training in July 2017. I went for 4 sessions which was a risk given I didn't own my own bike but I was confident in the training that I would get through OK. And I wasn't wrong. Dave is an absolutely brilliant instructor. I personally struggle being told how to do something without doing it as well. Its a great mix of talking about the riding and the practical training and completely my style of learning. The guys are very down to earth, friendly and never once put themselves above you. Having had little bike experience, I booked a 5 session course with CAMRider and passed my mod1 and mod2 first time with 4 minors in total. Dave was my instructor for all 5 sessions. He has some great techniques on how to really control your bike and he was an incredible instructor to have so hats off to dave. Nick helped out for a couple of my sessions and he too is a great guy, again, full of knowledge and some great tips. Overall, loved my experience with CAMRider. Just bought myself a gsxr 600 k8 and never had so much fun in my life. Thank you CAMRider but especially Dave, ill be riding some beers down to you soon! I've recently passed my DAS under the instruction of both Dave and Steve. I'm glad to say that they both are extremely professional, attentive and clearly passionate about motorcycles. I originally did my CBT with CamRider back in October 2016 and it was a great day with Steve and Dave at the centre in Bedford. Very educational with lots of anecdotal experience and wisdom to impart! After the CBT I felt I had learned enough to see me safely out on the road. The trainers were very appreciative I turned up on time as after reading up on the legal requirements of the training I couldn't miss anything otherwise I'd have to come again another day! After 9 months on my 125cc I decided to up my game and go for the full licence. Working ridiculous shifts I wasn't sure how easy it would be to book a 5 day course. However the guys in the office were more than accommodating with good communication over email and eventually a quick phone call to give me a tailor made training plan to fit my shifts. Even taking into account the fact I had already done my CBT so I could fit in an extra session on the 600cc! I passed both my Mod 1 and Mod 2 first time around. Both Steve and Dave took me out on the road at various times and both of them were excellent trainers who have an incredible passion for biking and a real enthusiasm to pass this onto people new to the world of motorcycles. Both trainers were more than willing to help (put up with) some stupid questions on my part and helped boost my confidence when I was worrying about the tests! I would definitely recommend CamRider as a whole. Their office were great on the admin side and the training was excellent from my CBT 10 months ago right the way through to completing my full test. My only gripe/criticism is the hooligans using the Bedford site as a place to do donuts and messing up the training surface. Hopefully CamRider can source a nice enclosed private area to train that wont hike up costs for future bikers.

In March 2017 I undertook a five lesson Direct Access course with Dave, thoroughly enjoyed the whole process, and successfully passed my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2. As someone who hadn't ridden a bike for over 25yrs before the course I found Dave (and Roy during the CBT) to be an excellent instructor who demonstrated the perfect balance of patience, knowledge and enthusiasm. I took my CBT today with a friend at Camrider (make the most of the 2 person discount). I've been riding for 2 years while my friend was entirely new to the whole thing. Although she progressed well on the geared bike, they decided she wasn't quite ready to take it on the road. However, rather than sending her home, the instructors decided to get her to try riding on a moped as there is a lot less to think about. This worked a lot better for her and we were both able to do the road ride and complete our CBTs. Dave and Steve are both excellent trainers and made it very easy to get going. Really friendly guys with some great stories to help explain things. For me, I found that this time we covered a lot more than my previous CBT and we got some really good experience on the road ride. I've had a few pointers and am hopefully improved in my own riding. After we completed the CBT they let me have a quick go on a 600 and I'm now looking at saving up to do my full bike test. Just want to say thanks to Steve for a fantastic and enjoyable day. I was taking my CBT as have not been on a bike for nearly 25 years and really enjoyed the experience. Steve was very professional and explained each stage of the training thoroughly. Even though the weather wasn't kind and blew a gail just as we were about to go out on the road, Steve gave us confidence to carry on and kept talking to us the whole time. Fantastic training School, I doubt it could get any better. From CBT to Direct Access I did it in five sessions. Although I had some motorcycle experience from another country to get rid of your bad habits and better the good ones was quite a task and Who better to do it with Than Dave. My instructor and camrider bedford site manager Dave was a class apart, he is an asset to camrider, his style and knowledge is second to none. He never seems tired by giving the same instructions again and again since we as students would keep doing the same mistakes time and time again. We felt that we were given the tutelage needed whilst making it an enjoyable experience. In a space of one month we have gone from being complete novice riders to passing our mod 2 today. I wanted to say a big thank you to Dave at Camrider Bedford for getting me through my full bike test from start to finish. A friend and myself took advantage of the 2for1 winter offer, it was a four day course which to be honest was a big ask for me as being 51 and not a rider for many many years was quite daunting. Dave is a dedicated professional bike instructor who takes his job seriously, and takes great pride in delivery excellent training, producing safe and competent motorbike riders, my perception is that this is more than just a job for Dave. And in my opinion his knowledge, dedication and enthusiasm in the training he delivers is second to none. Dave is very personable and easy to get along with, he is patient and can talk to an individual student on their level and in a language they understand conducive to getting them to follow and understand what is asked of them to pass the relevant tests and also pass on the confidence to be a good bike rider. The instruction prepares you very well for both mod 1 and mod 2 tests. The training venue is adequate but chilly in winter. Very down to earth instruction. The office are very efficient while booking and taking your money, not so when your done! This is no reflection on the team who train who were really reassuring and knowledgeable. The bikes are suitable for the job as is the safety gear. All round a great course if a little expensive but I ended up with the result I wanted.

Just passed my test with CAM RIDER , Dave the instructor was a good coach for me and he is keen for people to do well, glad he recommended an additional morning prior to my test as it helped get me through. The process on booking was easy although the website could be more user friendly. I think they should offer a few more facilities at Bedford , after watching the video I expected more, all in all it was fit for purpose though hence why only 5 star Suggestions 1. I also would like to see the CBT go to 2 days and a little cheaper you the younger riders with the option for a twist and go 125 not geared... If I was only wanting a 125 commute to the train station a twist and go out on the road , you only offer the 50cc which is ok for some but you don't offer. 2. A little longer time on the 600 to practice for mod 1 a cheaper practice session to just come down and use the bike and course would be good and I would recommend another half day before the mod 2 the price was well worth it. 3. Lastly I personal believe you should off girl only sessions for training for those that want enjoy the bike training and the social I can only imagine and I apologise for the assumption but just a thought.. Well done to others that passed and thanks Dave and the head office team at cam rider ..

I turned up having tried to find a last minute CBT and luckily I found this place. Steve and Dave are great lads and take the time to talk you through everything and make sure all the safety theory is there as well as the fun stuff. A few lads there were renewing old cbts from different schools and said they learnt loads from Dave and Steve that weren't covered elsewhere so I'm glad I picked here.
