M. W.Fantastic! We are so pleased that we found this school for our children. It has a lovely family atmosphere. The head teacher and staff are so enthusiastic, hard working and approachable. The small class sizes ensure plenty of individual attention and we are very happy with the curriculum and with all aspects of the school. They have their own large sports field behind the building, and are also very close to the Stokewood Sports Centre where they have swimming and gym lessons each week. Highly recommended!
A. N.Woo St Martin's! I went here and have such fond and happy memories. It got my friends and I through the 11+ and into BSG/BS and set me up very well for secondary school as I was ahead of most of the kids there in Year 7.
I also remember it being a small school with a happy family vibe where no bullying took place. I loved the sports days and school trips in particular. I am still friends with some of my class today and if I still live in Bournemouth when I have my own children, St Martin's would genuinely be where I would send them.
D.I question if the one negative review is bone fide as St Martins is everything a parent could wish for. It meets the highest of expectations. A small school of excellence with the best of old fashion values. The children learn in a very happy environment. There is a playground and a large field for playtime and sport. As the Bournemouth Echo once said - is this (St Martin's) Bournemouth's best kept secret.
J. C.I must say St Martin's has been fantastic during this difficult pandemic - caring to our little ones, sympathetic to parents, generous. No wonder the numbers in the school seem to be going up quickly. My children love the school and can't wait to return. Highly recommend.
S.I went to this school and so can say first hand what a caring and moral environment it is. It has shaped who I am, it always felt like a family with everyone looking out for each other and the teachers genuinely care about the children’s welfare and education. The teachers always took the time to explain things however many times needed and would give one to one attention, the small class sizes ensured this. As well as getting a great education, the school taught me what it is to be a good person and to be kind to others and I will always have very fond memories of my time there. I was sad to leave! I still know some of the staff there and the current headteacher is an extremely kind and genuine person who will go above and beyond to make sure the children have the best education possible.
T. B.I must say that this school is one of the most caring and happy environments for a child to grow up in. Our children loved it and made so many friends and such good academic progress. The head teacher and staff are really excellent. They listen to the parents and children. 100% recommend this school from every point of view, but especially if you want a small caring family feel.
d. o.In my experience, a well respected small private school with a great academic and OFSTED reputation, where every child is an individual. Focus on traditional values. Been in the area for years and positive word of mouth ensures their success. Some schools have better facilities, but the staff at St Martin's focus on the children.
J.I interviewed children from St Martin's School Bournemouth, and they were so happy. Comments such as "It's really nice here," "I love my teacher," "I'm doing much better in this school than my old school. They also enthused about the grounds of the school - a big field where they have games, play football and cricket.
J. M.This is a brilliant school. The present head teacher is a delight - kind, caring who does amazing things for the children. Both our girls went there and it was the best decision we have ever made for them. I would 100% recommend this school.
N. T.I am actually surprised to see anything negative on this page. My son went here as did my nieces and it was such a happy time for them. The homely environment and high standards meant they flourished both academically and in confidence. All of them went on to the grammar schools and university and have rewarding and successful careers. I think we were really lucky to find this gem.
