Fantastic club that builds on fitness, self-defense and personal development. I have seen these health and mental benefits not only in myself, but also in fellow classmates. The friendly and warm atmosphere delivered by the club members makes every class a pleasure to train hard and improve our skills as a team.
The variety of techniques (striking and self-defense) caters for a wide range of possible defense scenarios and makes walking the streets feel safer. These are skills that hopefully will not be necessary outside the club.
Having no experience whatsoever when I started, it was clear that Roath club is suitable for all levels. The time and effort the instructor and senior members dedicate to train the students has shown me that the club members are friendly, passionate and willing to help ensure the comfort the safety of their classmates.
Since day one, I have enjoyed and looked forward to every class!

I have joined the Roath NPC club half a year ago as part of trying out if am into martial arts, and guess what: stayed since then! Both the instructor and the senior members are very welcoming and you are allowed to train and progress at your own pace. I have learned both self defence and traditional forms of Kung Fu and also improved A LOT my general fitness. It is a club that is based on mutual respect no matter your background, and training while having good time, which makes it a perfect place to start your journey with Kung fu!

An incredible club! A place where you can train body and mind. The club focuses on kung-fu techniques as well as self-defense and fitness. The classes are suitable for everyone and no previous experience is necessary. The instructor and senior belts are always there to answer any questions and support everybody. The atmosphere is amazing! All members are friendly, supportive and passionate! It's not just a sport, it's a passion. It's not just a club, it's a family!

I have trained with the club for five years. After my session I was hooked because I got to learn a huge amount in a friendly and supportive group, where my newness or inexperience was not a problem at all. I train at Roath because it is friendly, welcoming and brilliant for building confidence, super fitness and skill. Like it says on the website, Nam Pai Chuan teaches you the skills that hopefully you'll never have to use.

Amazing! A fun, friendly and welcoming club with a great atmosphere. The lessons cover a broad range of different things including: Sparring, padwork, takedowns, street defence, fitness, flexibility, forms, footwork and sometimes weapons. I've loved every lesson and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a martial art
