This is an excellent school where our son has been able to achieve his best both academically and in extra curricular activities. Excellent teaching is backed up by a strong D of E programme that has resulted in 3 current and 2 previous pupils collecting their Gold award from the Palace this year. Science clubs, Formula 24, Swing Band, Rugby, Pantomime and House events contribute to the varied life at the school and the food is excellent.

This school is wonderful, there's a lovely family atmosphere. The boys do exceptionally well academically and have so many chances to excel in other areas such as D of E sport, music and drama. My sons have enjoyed being at the junior school and have had inspiring role models from the senior school showing them it's OK for boys to enjoy learning, celebrate academic success, sing (their barbers shop choir does this beautifully) act on stage (and some even enjoy being the panto dame) and care about others, as shown by the schools fantastic work in Tanzania and with the YMCA. The (fairly) new head at the school Dr Norris is fantastic, implementing great new ideas and moving the school forward for the 2020's

Derby Grammar provides a fun and rounded education with many extra curricular opportunities. The school states that it is a place for excitement, friendship, curiosity, discovery and achievement- and this is certainly true from our experience. Our son is achieving academically and loves all the sport the school offers, more importantly to us though is that he is incredibly happy here.

Friendly & welcoming school. Lots of opportunities : sports, academics, music, art etc. A vast range of extra curricular activities to keep boys active and occupied. The achievements speak for themselves. I'd recommend anyone to take a tour and go and look for yourself
