I contacted SmartaTutoring last year looking for a tutor to assist my son at short notice who has to sit an igcse in order to enter America on a football scholarship. I had little knowledge of the course required and how to go about booking the relevant exams. Both Marta and Julie were very helpful pointing me in the rite direction, professional whilst remaining very friendly. My Son started with Marta 1 yr prior to his GCSE exams. He struggled with Maths at school, often getting frustrated in class because he did not understand the tasks, and so he switched off. So the idea of MORE MATHS outside of school did not initially go down well. However, Marta showed him different ways of tackling the maths work and gradually he gained confidence and we started seeing his grade creeping up at school, with feed back from his maths teacher commenting on his improvement and her having full confidence, that, with his continued effort, he would achieve his predicted grade. Marta maintains good communication with the parents throughout and flexibility, when required on either side, was always possible because of this. Marta has an individual, calm and friendly approach in her teaching methods and this has benefited my son greatly, as he didn’t want that normal “teacher-student” relationship he has at school. Tyler is thankful now for his sessions with Marta, as he now has the grade he wanted and we, as his parents, are greatly appreciative of all her input into improving our sons Maths education. This last year has paid off and we would like to thank Marta for all her help and would certainly not hesitate in recommending her services to other students and parents.
