First Class Learning Roundhay have been absolutely fantastic for my children. I have a 7 and 10 year old and one was struggling with maths and the other with English. What can I say about Lisa other than the fact the woman is incredible. My kids love her and the teaching and she is always so accommodating and happy to help. If your kids need some extra help on-top of school you simply must give Lisa a call and then all that is left is for you to sit back and watch while your kids go from struggling to succeeding. Thank you Lisa.

My son started First Learning when he started secondary school. His report on Maths from primary school showed many areas needed improvement. Lisa and her team at First Class are brilliant and assessed my son on entrance to identify his week areas. Now my son has achieved over 85 percentage on subjects assessed as 30 percentage previously. This makes his life easier at school and has boosted his confidence.

I would highly recommend first class learning. My son was in year 5 when i noticed he is struggling at school with maths he had no confidence. Since joining first class learning he has grown in confidence and he is retaining information alot better he feels happy going to his sessions. My son has been receiving Maths support for over a year now. We enrolled him as he was beginning to develop a dislike for the subject; he really struggled with his number bonds, and basic addition and subtraction. This left him feeling frustrated in school and lacking motivation. Even though my background is in teaching, I couldn’t get through to him, as hard as I tried!! The tutors at First Class Learning are dedicated, and very closely monitor and support children. Tricia, his first tutor, showed him great kindness and through high expectations peppered with humour, really helped our son to begin to gain his confidence through basic arithmetic and multiplication. Lisa is now continuing with this, ensuring the same high expectations from him. Through a systematic approach - structured booklets and additional sheets where he needs them - he has absolutely blown us away with his keen interest to complete the learning given to him, and to gain ‘stamps’. These stamps result in prizes being awarded. He receives verbal praise that reinforces his desire to try even harder and achieve even better. As parents, we are constantly informed about successes, and areas to develop. I really like this about the centre, as areas of learning aren’t ‘glossed’ over; likewise, when children have mastered a topic, they move into the next level. The tutors will pop over to us at the end of the session and have a chat. We’ve had supplementary x tables work, to keep him on his toes! I strongly believe that the effort the tutors put in place to build strong relationships with children compels them to want to learn ‘from within themselves’. Our son has just recently completed equivalent fractions to a high level - a branch of maths we could only dream he’d attempt a few months ago!! I highly recommend the centre. It supports children with their attainment, and importantly, fosters a future love for learning.

The tutor First Class Learning is a very efficient way to give your child the extra help they need it with their maths and English studies. Lisa is a very thoughtful tutor who puts a lot of thought into how she presents the material. Her lessons were engaging, useful, and she was very patient with everyone in class always encouraging her students to try. My daughter have been with First Class Learning for more than a year now. She absolutely enjoy doing her worksheets. She has been on other learning tuition before but found it repetitive and didn’t like it as much as FCL. Now she has developed confidence in Maths in school and improved so much. I would definitely recommend FCL as it is UK curriculum based learning. I thank Lisa for being so patient with the children and being flexible with us especially this pandemic. She can’t wait to be back in class soon.

Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. Our daughter initially attended the maths sessions with First Class Learning during year 4, just to help with her confidence. Within the space of a term we noticed a massive difference in her approach and understanding. She is now the go to person for a lot of the other kids in her class at school for maths (Years 5 & 6). Our daughter happily attends the sessions. Lisa and First Class Learnings proactive approach identifies any weaknesses our daughter has in her work. They then focus there efforts on this until it is no longer a problem. We now have her attending the English sessions too. Again we are seeing the same results. Increased understanding and confidence. With the help of First Class Learnings support, our daughter has gone from a child who meets expectations to a child who now has a deeper understanding and greater confidence in the maths she is doing. I would definitely recommend First Class Learning to anyone wanting their child to have extra tuition.

I have been going to First Class Learning Leeds Roundhay since I was 6 and it has been immensely helpful for me. All the work is targeted to help you improve on your weaker areas as well as progress you onto similar work that you do at school - I managed to stay a full year ahead of my school classmates with the help of FCL. The teachers are very helpful, kind and they have many resources to help us understand difficult topics.

Like every parent due to Civid-19 we was afraid both our daughters education would suffer, but thanks First Class Learning and Lisa’s tutoring our girls are doing fantastic tuition work. We are both impressed and grateful to Lisa for delivering excellent Zoom tutorial sessions. In just a few Zoom sessions Lisa’s teaching technique has proven to be highly efficient but with a personal touch, we would highly recommend First Class Learning.

Lisa has been fantastic supporting my daughter with her learning during lockdown. Not just accademic support but also providing very important emotional support. They have weekly zoom meetings to check up on the work sheets and discuss any problems she has encountered with them. Within this session Lisa invests time in developing a relationship with my daughter, who looks forward to their weekly chats. I would recommend first class learning it has helped progress with her school work pre COVID and has kept her motivated and engaged in school work during lockdown.

My children attend First Class Learning and they are both happy there. The work booklets are challenging and the tutors will progress them if things become too easy. Lisa, the owner has been very helpful and flexible. Lisa was in contact throughout the lockdown period and ensured the children had their work booklets. The return to the centre is also being managed well in light of the COVID-19 restrictions. I am pleased with the extra practice and challenge that FCL provides and I wish I'd started sending the kids sooner.
