A. B.It is a pleasure to work as part of the leadership team of the Leicestershire Secondary SCITT. A proactive, research-informed teacher training institution that is proud of the offer it provides for trainees, in conjunction with experienced colleagues in a range of partner schools. The SCITT exhibits genuine moral purpose, consideration of workload and well-being and a desire to produce teachers who work 'smart', not just 'hard', for the benefit of the young people in our schools. Colleagues in Partner Schools are also provided with professional learning opportunities so that they too can grow. Ultimately the SCITT is proud of the trainees we support, many of whom go on to work in local schools, if you'd like to be a part of this, then come and join us.
H. S.What an incredible journey. I have studied English at the University of Leicester. I went on to study an MA in religion, politics and society at the University of Birmingham. The SCITT teacher training programme was worth every penny and more! The amount of value with your own personal and professional development is incredible. I couldn't recommend training with the SCITT highly enough. Schools within Leicestershire and the wider country are aware of the calibre of teachers which are made at this training facility. If you want to be a research informed reflective practitioner, and sought after by many schools then look no further. :)

We invest in our Teacher Educators (mentors) and partner schools, so that everyone gets the best experience and we all achieve the ultimate aim - giving children the best start to life.
