I went to this school in 1960/1. Started as an infant and left at 11 years old. I loved it all. The teachers were very good, some were strict, one was always designated to mete out punishment with the slipper or ruler. No one suffered that l know of, it was character forming. How many people know that Vera Lynn, that wonderful songstress went to our school as did many West Ham footballers of the time. Ms Lynn visited the school one day and came round to the classes to say hello. I went to Grammar school from there so it couldn't have been that bad!
