I went to this school 2 years ago, currently i am in year 8, almost year 9. I had minor problems which were resolved quite rapidly. Despite that, I had wonderful experiences at this school, a wide range of different clubs etc. I am writing this review now in a high school, and one thing i will take away with me from Clifton Lodge is the outstanding French. In my current school (KCS Wimbledon) I am finding French very simple as Clifton Lodge prepared me very well. A wonderful school which I will treasure in my mind forever!

Excellent in every way. My son has attended this school for the past 8 years. Clifton Lodge couldn’t have done more for my child. They have nurtured and supported him to become the wonderful young man he has become. Clifton Lodge has provided holistic, academic and pastoral support to the highest standards. The well being and safeguarding of each child is treated as paramount. Communication has been exemplary. The staff work incredibly hard behind the scenes and I have witnessed it is often above and beyond. The compassion of staff past, present and new is exemplary.
As a long standing parent I find it difficult to comprehend some things I have read as I have not at all had reason to ever think anything other than excellent value for money. The whole experience from pre reception to final year has been amazing for my child and me as a parent.
I wish all those perspective parents have the same amazing experience.

My son currently attends Clifton Lodge and we have been very happy with his progress and the school environment as a whole. All staff and parents are very friendly and welcoming. Staff are always available to help if needed and all children are welcomed into school by senior staff each morning. Our son is very happy at the school and with his many allergies, he has always found the chef to cater for his allergies without him feeling left out. He absolutely enjoys the food and always looks forward to going back to school after the school holidays. The After School team are wonderful and it is a great help that the school is open from 8am to 6pm each day. Being introduced to different teachers for French, Music and IT at an early age is a wonderful experience to have for preparation into Upper School. Clifton Lodge is a lovely school with great staff that all know who you are and who your child is.

My child was there for two whole years and yet described it as the most exhilarating experience in his whole life. He enjoyed every single moment there. The teachers were always there to help and were extremely kind. He described the teachers as hilarious at times and could never wait to go back the next day. It is appalling to see such negative reviews on this school from some people. Every aspect of Clifton Lodge is fantastic. The education they provide is outstanding and the teachers work to core to help all the children. My child was in the school play and when we got home described himself as heart-broken due to the fact it was last year. He was sad as he didn't feel he spent as much time with his friends as he would have liked to. However he then added, "if it wasn't for Clifton Lodge they wouldn't have been my friends in the first place." This was truly an example of how Clifton Lodge is one of the best schools the country can offer. He also described it as a big family and everyone always looked out for each other.

Amazing school. I attended this school. The staff, teachers and students are all amazing. I made so many friends here. I thank this school for all the education it provided me. The extracurricular activities were amazing. ICT was my favorite subject there. I am now in secondary school and I thank the teachers for helping me get there. Some teachers might remember me as Ed Aidan Ampim. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Keep up the good work.

My son arrived at Clifton Lodge from a not so good school. We wanted a mixed-gender, happy school, and Clifton Lodge provides just that. What we did not expect was the strength in depth of both teaching and support, tailored to the particular needs of each child. Parents who wish to are able to get involved with each other and the school - there is a strong sense of community at Clifton Lodge. We trust the headmaster (Dr Thamia) and his team to do their very best by our children. He has always made himself available to answer our queries we may have and has dealt with any occasional issues our son mat have faced. We cannot imagine a better environment for my son to start his education and development. We are only sorry he missed out on the original starting years. I recommend this school without any hesitation. The extra circular activities are excellent and the English lesson, like all the other subjects are taught with such passion. Its is lovely to watch our son grow with knowledge, maturity and confidence. Thank you. Clifton Lodge.

I have been a parent at Clifton Lodge School for a good few years, four years precisely to be exact. I found the school to be a quaint, friendly, caring full of laughter and study of exhilarating lessons. The school is full of inspirational subjects empowering all the children who attend. The teachers are all approachable and display an attitude of compassion to every child in any year. My son who currently attends arrived from a not so good school but quickly gained confidence and friends at Clifton Lodge. The Science, History and Geography plus the extra circular activities are excellent while English, which is a dominant subject for my son is taught with a sincere passion. This inspires my son to do better, and to achieve which he does and has! Thank you Clifton Lodge for all your hard input and support.

Speaking as a parent and having seen the difference in my son since he joined Clifton Lodge, I can only say how impressed I am with the progress and growth in confidence in him in these last two years. From a boy who's only response to "how was your day?" was "fine" to what can only be described as a confident and well-spoken daily account of every lesson and event that day is still something that is a highlight of my day. Family and friends have all remarked on how well-rounded he has become and how well he has progressed in the last couple of years and this is due to the amazing teachers and staff who work at this school.

I am NOT a current student/parent but a prospective parent. Given how systematically defensive the school response is here and unwillingness to engage or address some of the key issues, I can only assume it is damage control.
I do not have the time to invest more energy researching the school if the initial impression is insufficiently glowing.
So you may choose if you so wish to address some of the critical views here that would reassure future prospective parents given your fees are not cheap.

I loved going to school here, expect the homework was quite excessive.

I was the Deputy Head Boy at this school last year. And the six years that I spent there were the best I could've asked for. No matter the trouble behind the scenes, they insured we had the best education possible.

I had some good experiences at this school. But the school pushes work almost too much. If you have potential they will notice however they don't make it grow. It's only who does the homework on the first day and who doesn't have an opinion. The teachers will almost find anything as disrupting and doing small things will cause them to go furious which is quite frustrating for a student who just wants to have fun and not copy from the board or a textbook. Lessons should be more fun for pupils. The punishment for doing minor things will end you up on the day sheet and if a teacher doesn't like you then you have a bigger chance of ending up on it. And you have to clean the lunch hall which is very dirty and all you have is tissues and your hands which is very unhygienic. Not to mention the cutlery is dirty and on occasions i find hairs on my food. The school is really elitist. they hate pupils who can stand up for themselves instead of being morally demolished by a teacher, if your child has a point which is completely correct it would be deemed as 'rude' which is not true considering a teacher is just shouting at a child and he/she cant stand up for themselves which isn't that fair. I learnt a lot at that school including that life isn't always fair and in the classroom they helped me however there a many big issues with this school. What they need to be is more lenient and not to affect a child's mental health and to pressure them less. school is already difficult and teachers shouting at you doesn't help. This is constructive criticism.
