Excellent school so sorry my Son will be leaving school after 6 years of achieving so much, extremely dedicated teachers with very high expectations of they students.Excellent Sixth form most students go on to Top Universities.Can be strict and demanding but always have the students best interests at heart.

Excellent school and excellent teachers. My son has made huge progress since joining the school 3 years ago. Lots of homework but thats one reason why they get such high results. No pain, no gain.

Fantastic school. Strong teaching and expect hard work and dedication from their students, and really have made such a difference to my son's academic learning. Gunnersbury's achievement of highest scores for exam results in the country, clearly proves that.

Went here in the late 80s early 90s. I see from Google street view its changed a bit. Looking back, it was actually a good school despite not liking school at the time. Separate buildings for different subjects. The Language block, the Science blocks, the CDT blocks and the main block. Even had it's own library with the old card library indexing system you see in Ghostbusters. Wood Work was my favourite subject but I wasn't very good. Was annoying though when you'd need something cut on the big band saw that only the teacher was allowed to use. And would wait the whole double lesson for him to do it, to then have the lesson come to an end. During lunch sometimes the CDT teacher would let us in one of the offices they had in that block to use the Atari ST. Remember playing golf on it. And the tuck shop was always great. Crusty cheese roles were my favourite. The sports field was a good place to have but I always remember hating it. Mainly because I hated rugby yet it's a rugby school and we were always forced to play it. Especially in the cold,when the lesson ended and you went to change, your hands would be so cold you couldn't do your buttons up on your shirt. Assume with health & safety being what it is now that's probably stopped. I'm interested in getting the anniversary image that was took of the whole school back when I was there. If you went to the staff room (that had the sixth form common room down the corridor) they had all those photos on the wall. Not sure if it happened every year or not. Because I hated school I never wanted it but now interested in seeing it again. I would of thought the school would have had a copy. Would also be interesting to see what the inside of the school looks like today and the grounds. The library, CDT blocks and Art departments being my favourite places.

My sons both did well at this school back in the late nineties. Surprised it has got so high up the rankings - so well done to them! Wish I still had a house in the catchment area!
