London Music School has been extremely enriching for me in my musical education. My harmony and theory was terrible and I am making huge progress in very little time. I don't know how, but all of our teachers make it fun and interesting to learn, I've never wanted to stay at school and do the work as much as I do now! Everyone who is a part of the school teachers included are like family to me and we all get along so easily it's a lovely atmosphere!
If you love music and want to learn more, this is the perfect place for you!

LMS is staffed by a great bunch of warm and caring professional musicians. If you come here you'll get real industry experience, flexible teachers who work with you and encourage you, and the opportunity to deliver real gigs where your teachers will often stay late into the evening watching you and other students perform; ready to give you feedback in your next lesson. A great place to learn, as long as you show up motivated, ask questions and are open to getting involved.

Cannot recommend the school highly enough,.
I have been attending LMS for over a year now, after initially only signing up for 6 months, with no immediate plans to leave. Fantastic atmosphere between students and teachers, who are all of a world class quality and have a genuine vested interest in seeing students achieve to the best of their ability, often going above and beyond the call of duty to give students the support needed. I have already completed the Audio Engineering course, starting as a complete novice, and feel as though I have received the best education possible on the topic, through a combination of both theory and practical lessons, all taught by a range of teachers, all extremely well versed in engineering from all different perspectives and backgrounds. I am now on the bass course after discovering a love for the instrument while at the school, and have received outstanding support and encouragement from the teachers to help me progress, causing me to become a vastly improved bassist, and musician, in general. In the last few months since receiving lessons, i have improved far beyond the capabilities I had acquired from over a year of self taught playing. All I can say for the few negative reviews of the school on here is that you only get out what you put in, as a teacher can only teach those that are willing to learn. Fantastic school with fantastic people, students and teachers alike, many of which I intend to stay in contact with even when my course is complete. Once again, cannot recommend LMS enough.

Came to the school 5 years ago as a mature student to study Drums Guitar and sound engineering. When i arrived i had very little skills and lacked confidence. The teachers and staff were amazing and were quick to identify my weaknesses. The courses are structured to each individuals needs through one to one tuition and group workshops. Since then i now play in several bands performing regularly in central London, and music festivals... performed live on radio and TV and even did some recording for the BBC. Its been a lot of hard work but such a rewarding journey the staff and teachers at the school have been and continue to support me all the way. Feel so lucky to be part of this musical Family. I had a wonderful time at LMS, completing a 10-week Saturday vocal performance course; an all-round amazing and valuable experience.
My advice to prospective students is to visit the various London music schools and get a sense of the ones that resonate with you most.
I can't say enough about how much and why I chose LMS: the vibe, the fact that it’s located in trendy Hackney Central, everyone is welcoming, genuine, down to earth (and talented of course! Lots of multi-instrumentalists).
All of the above were key factors when it came to choosing the right program and music institution in London.
Our brilliant vocal teacher Emilie comes with years of professional vocal performance and teaching experience, which helped us unravel our full potential and vocal range. We've all improved so much throughout the course.
The studio recording sessions which are also part of the curriculum were invaluable, record studios equipped with high-end mixing consoles.
Last but not least, our Saturday class was as diverse as it gets! Hailing from different parts of the world: namely Hong Kong, Barcelona, Moscow, Vienna, Beirut and Copenhagen all in one room. I met great people who became colleagues and are now good friends of mine.
Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Great institute. The teachers are amazingly experienced and you can learn so much from them. I feel its good that the classes are adapted to each student level of knowledge and if you want to and take the time to do the background work (practice practice practice) you can learn so much and get so much ut of it.
Also there is always a great environment in the school which makes you always want to get out of home to go to the classes :)
another great thing is that there are various course options so you can choose what fits you better (the instrument and if you want full or part time course etc.)
Overall an amazing experience

All the best teachers are here. They are very expirienced through the years of playing live gigs all around the world and recording with incredible artists. I attended bass guitar course with Derek who is a great teacher, and the audio engineering course with Muca, who is also a great teacher. What I have learned in one year at LMS is much more than I would ever expected. I am very proud to have been a student in LMS. Very familiar enviroment and people to share an unique musical expirience with.

I started study in LMS as par - time student and really enjoyed it that I have decided to go study Full time. I develop my singing technique, improvisation , I started songwriting , proved my music theory knowledge and I have became more confident on stage. I had so much fun. Massive Thank you want to say to Rossana Brandi . She was one of my teachers and she told me a lot and made me understand lot of things about music and singing . Very professional approach and her self she is an amazing singer . I met beautiful musicians / people - Tony Dooley , Randolph Matthews, Kevin Keating . Big Thank you want to say to school boss Martin Keating . He was like a father to us all students .

I had a musical ability inside of me, and I knew as soon as I read up about The London Music School, that this was going to be my next chapter. I ended up attending as a student from 2015 - 2017. The school is a very relaxed atmosphere in which you feel at home. Like a 'home away from home'. It is a small school but that means you get more personal tuition, as each student is tailored their own individual programme of goals they would like to work towards, in their chosen instruments. I did not know ANYTHING about musical theory before I came to the school, which is important, especially as one of my subjects was vocals. Talking about when it came to choosing the right keys for your voice, with different songs.
This is the place to be if you want to focus on PERFORMANCE. Everything you could want as a practical musician is covered. Recording facilities to record product/demo. I made good use of this, though you have to consider mixing too! Which I didn't dedicate much time to..!
The atmosphere is so laid back that you will sometimes forget that there is a line between being a teacher and being a student, but that's also what makes this a great place, because it is also very intense at the same time, as in you get a lot done, if you can keep yourself motivated! I've made friends from abroad that I have kept in contact with. I'm a born Londoner, but it's really great to meet all different students from overseas and be able to form great friendships.
The school is run by Martin Keating, great guy, and his brother Kevin works there as the guitar teacher. 2 of the highlights of the school for sure, I have alot of respect for them.
Whether you may want to explore your hidden musical side, or even if you're more advanced in your journey, this is a fantastic place to help you get one step closer to being that musician you've always wanted to be.
(I know this is long, so thank you if you got to this point!)

I loved the time I spent in School. I gained a lot confidence In my singing and performing. Got along wonderfully with the Teachers, they are knowledgable, and were very helpful and friendly, Big thanks to them. There was always space for me to practice in school, due to the small numbers of student, 7 days a week! (if you are a workaholic). there is plenty of time to use the studio too, I regret not spending more time using it. Great time there.

I took the six months course at LMS. The school gives you all the tools you need to be an excellent musician, it depends on your desire to learn and your love for music to take advantage of all the knowledge that can be gained in just six months. It is a challenging and fulfilling experience.

When coming to the music industry/world it's hard to know what we want out of it... not only does lms school give you the options that you can go for but also gives you the confidence to get there.. the teachers, very professional, manage to create a relaxed and friendly environment but also keep you focused on working and getting better. Its not always fun and games but the experience is unforgettable, I would do it again in a heartbeat...sorry a drumbeat!

This school felt like home and everyone felt like a family. It was very hard to leave...but! The good news is: you never actually leave the LMS family :)
If you come here, you're here to stay.
All the teachers and staff are wonderful and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. If I could, I would stay for another year for sure!
