Like any parent, I was incredibly nervous to send my daughter off to nursery for the first time, but I couldn't have been luckier having this experience alongside Oak Tree Pre-School Nursery. Joanna was incredibly flexible and understanding when it came to little concerns like potty training and dummies and explained we would work together to find the right solution once Rachel was ready and settled. The nursery staff were very supportive during my daughter's settling in period, and Joanna tailored the settling in experience intuitively based around what would be best for my daughter, which made it a very smooth transition. During the first settling in session, it was very reassuring to see her and other staff members respond warmly and naturally to any children who wanted a cuddle or some reassurance, and I was very happy to receive the report from my daughter on her second day that when she fell in the garden, the teacher gave her a nice warm hug - it was very clear to me that the staff had really made a big effort to make her feel welcome and safe.
When collecting Rachel from nursery, the staff always give me a detailed insight into what she did that day, the food she ate and her nappy changes. This, in addition to the regular updates on the Famly app and activity timetables in the entrance hall, has allowed me to carry over her learning experience at nursery into the home, through things like starting a window garden after she did a beanstalk project at nursery and singing songs with her that she has learnt in the nursery. It has been absolutely wonderful to see her develop and grow so rapidly in her language, social and creative development, as well as gaining a newfound confidence and independence.
I believe these things stand testament to the exemplary job that each and every teacher are doing to foster independence and learning on an individual level, with great respect for each child's learning journey and a clear love for the work they do every day.
It is a wonderful feeling to see my daughter so happy every day when I collect her and full of stories of all the great things she did that day.

My daughter has been at Oak Tree for nearly 2 years, experiencing both the Toddlers and Pre-school Room. She absolutely loves the nursery. It's a lovely setting and a great environment.
The influence that the amazing team there has had on our daughter has been incredible. Her skipping and running into Pre-School everyday, and coming back home with a huge smile says everything about the team and the work they do.
Over the past 2 years, her intelligence, confidence, awareness, and understanding of the world has grown hugely. I'm amazed at the creativity and range of activities that she engages with everyday at Oak Tree. And importantly, she has so much fun too and has formed so many lovely friendships.
It is easy to be happy parents when our daughter is so happy too. We are lucky to have found Oak Tree and had our daughter develop so well at such a key stage in life at such an amazing place.
We can't recommend Oat Tree highly enough and thank everyone there for the work they do.

Our son has been going to oaktree for over 2 years and we can't speak highly enough about the care from the staff. They have shown great resourcefulness and resilience during the pandemic and the activities they run for the children are fantastic. What stood out to us from the beginning is the care and attention they give each individual child. We always get in depth handover feedback at every pick up and this has really helped us support his development at home. The staff always have a smile on their faces and clearly love what they do and the outdoor space for play is amazing. Can't recommend them enough and look forward to our daughter attending in the future

We’ve had our 3 kids attend OakTree Preschool Nursery over the past 6+ years and they all love the setting, teachers and activities. They (and us adults) have made some amazing friendships from the nursery that have continued even after the kids left.
From the happy smiles on our kids faces going to nursery and also at the end of the day when we pick them up we know that they have had a great day. Glad the chef is a great cook as my kids have big fussy appetites!
One person who has been there with us since the start is Joanna who is the nursery manager – our kids see her as part of the family. Her dedication and passion for her role, her staff and the kids is unwavering.
Thanks OakTree for helping in the development of our kids during their (highly important) early years. I know my kids are prepped for Reception!

My daughter has been here for almost 2years and loves Oak Tree!
At first when she started in toddler class she cried a lot but the staff were amazing with her.
Even though her first language was not English and didn’t understand anything, the staff made sure she feels safe and cared, she settled very well.
In preschool room they have a lot of fun activities every day(learning letters, craft, singing and all sorts of things)and she can’t wait to show me what she made that day.
Also my daughter absolutely loves the food here! (There is a new chef)
The setting is in the lovely Church grounds and they have plenty of outdoor space for the little ones to explore and play.
I recommend if someone is looking for a warm and caring nursery.

We absolutely love Oak Tree! Our 4 year old boy is still there now and is so happy. He took a while to settle in and the staff were so helpful and encouraging with him and always reassured us that he was happy during the day. The staff are lovely and they really care about each child, and our son loves being with them everyday; we really appreciate the daily updates delivered in person by the staff at the end of each day, so we know how things have gone that day. During the first lockdown they delivered Easter eggs and a package of optional activities to each child, and when we had to quarantine after a trip away we had video calls with the teachers and his friends so he could keep in contact. It’s a really happy, friendly, sweet environment and all the little extra things they do with the children are done with children in mind. There are great outdoor spaces and even though they can’t do sports with external people these days they always do a variety of activities with them and take them for “seasonal walks” so they get lots of fresh air and exercise each day. It’s what you’d want a nursery to be - happy, loving, friendly, and child focused. We only have one child but a few of his friends have siblings who were there before and I think it says a lot when a family sends multiple children to the same nursery. They’re clearly doing something right! We will be sad when our little boy has to leave and will definitely stay in touch with them. It’s the perfect home away from home.

We have two boys at Oaktree. One in Toddlers and one in pre-school.
We have found Oaktree to be a nurturing, friendly, small, local nursery in a lovely setting with lots of outdoor space to use.
They strike a great balance between fun, learning and individual care and attention. The staff are clearly dedicated to the children’s well-being, learning and happiness and have always been happy to speak about any development issues, questions or concerns (even at the weekend). Each day is planned, there are themes, activities, games, acting opportunities and trips out (when it has been possible). For example, my son loved the trip they did to the train station to buy tickets. They make sure that all the children feel cared for - it feels like a very inclusive environment where the children are celebrated for being themselves.
The menu has always been impressive - healthy and varied and children are encouraged to get involved in cooking which they love.
The resilience and dedication of the team during the recent lockdown (for example balloons delivered on my sons birthday) was a testament of how much they care about the work they do.
It’s a great team - we throughly recommend it.

Both my children loved their time at Oak Tree nursery and came home happy everyday. They particularly enjoyed the garden (lots of outside space), activities such as sports and music sessions, and the art and craft work that staff put so much energy into day after day. When I picked them up, they couldn't wait to show us their pictures, letters/writing and other creations! The staff are wonderful, very professional and caring, and the new chef was also a hit. Our son has a food allergy and the chef was wonderful is sorting food for him. In all, our children flourished in a happy, fun and caring environment. We are sorry to leave and wish the nursery and staff every success.

My child has been at Oaktree for the past two years and has absolutely thrived there. Oaktree has a lovely family run feel with fantastic staff. Their garden is huge and the nursery setting is perfectly situated in the Church grounds. I'd recommend Oaktree to anyone looking for a home from home environment for your child with a loving and support team of staff.

Oaktree Pre-School nursery has looked after three of our children since we moved to Wimbledon nearly 10 years ago.
We have had such an amazing journey with them and currently our youngest is in the pre-school room. The hard working staff, personable management and individual care and attention we, as parents, receive embodies the whole ethos of the nursery towards its children; Caring, Attentive and Nurturing.
Special mention goes to Joanna (been there since before the church was built, I think!!) who has been like a third parent to our kids! Our eldest two (now at great local Schools) still talk about her fondly, which is a testament to her extremely kind nature and enduring passion for childcare.
Thanks so far Oaktree! We love the videos and virtual updates on the "Famly platform" and it's great to hear the tales of fun and mischief you all get up to!
