My want of learning Russian language brought me in contact with Daria from Russian-Lessons. Daria was kind enough to guide me through the steps and encouraged that I take a one of session to experience the class atmosphere and understand how lessons are conducted. After attending the one off session, I decided to enrol for a 1-2-1 session. 10 days to learn the basics. My teacher, Ms Irina was very patient, helpful and ensured I had a good understanding of the lessons covered. I am still inclined to learn more and will be joining soon for more lessons.

I've been taking Russian classes for about a year, first in the school in Holborn and now online. I love the small group and really friendly, casual atmosphere, and my teacher, Tatsiana, is great. I was studying Russian alone before, but I feel so much more confident about my speaking since I started taking lessons with her.

It was really a great experience and exceeded my expectation. The teacher was very professional and helped me a lot to improve my rusty Russian skills. The group was very small, only 3 people usually, which made it perfect as we had lots of opportunities to practice speaking. I can really recommend it and will definitely come back there.

I started as a beginner in February and have continued with weekly 121 lessons with Irina throughout lockdown via Zoom. She is a great teacher - extremely friendly and professional, classes and the course in general are structured well with a mixture of reading, writing and listening exercises. I am making real progress and would definitely recommend the school. They have done great job of working flexibly through lockdown and I don't feel that learning remotely has been a disadvantage at all. Thank you!

My 16 year old daughter and her friend enlisted on a beginners course at this school. Daria Gabryanczyk, who runs the school, was especially helpful and catered for their needs as both girls were non-Russian speakers and offered them 2:1 sessions which suited them perfectly. I was really impressed by the schools communication with students and parents and they made every effort to be flexible with tuition times to fit around the student. The quality of the teaching was excellent and the girls thoroughly enjoyed attending class. All staff are very friendly and professional. Would strongly recommend for all ages. The Russian lessons have been hugely rewarding and very enjoyable. Our teacher, Tatsiana, is a pleasure to work with and it feels as though we have progressed very quickly in the language with each week. I would urge anyone tempted to learn Russian to give it a go - it's not nearly as overwhelming as you might think and the language and culture is fascinating. Very highly recommended.

I came here for a beginners class. The classes were small (4-5 people), which is ideal. Based on the price which is quite low in comparison with others I saw, the quality of the teaching was fine. I would have preferred if our teacher had imposed a little bit more discipline on the class - a couple of us had a tendency to go off on tangents (in English) which didn't help us to learn Russian. There was a little bit too much figuring out and not quite enough direction for my taste. If you're interested in learning Russian, but not completely sure, then this beginners course could be perfect for you.

I've tried 3 different Russian language schools in London so far, and this one is definitely the best quality, and a good value for the price too. My teacher is excellent and really engages us. I get way more actual speaking practice in this class than I have in the other classes. In other classes, the teachers just follow the book and you do exercises direct from the text book - something I could do by myself at home. In this school, there's practical speaking practice beyond what's in the book. Also, the classes are very small and well customised to the needs of the specific class. The lesson times are shorter than some of the other programs, but the full amount of time is focused on Russian learning, which I haven't found to be the case elsewhere. I'll be continuing for a second semester for sure.

I am truly enjoying my russian classes with Irina, she is a great teacher who offers different exercises and activities during the classes and time always flies during the lessons. The class is small and very interactive, which makes a very good environment to learn quickly.

I have been having Russian lessons with russian-lessons.co.uk for almost a year due to work commitments taking me to Kazakhstan on a regular basis. The administration is prompt and friendly, the facilities are well located and the teaching staff are excellent. I have had two teachers during my year and both have been attentive, responsive to my needs, adaptable, patient and, most importantly, they make the lessons enjoyable as well as informative. My Russian has improved exponentially through the support of russian-lessons.co.uk (previously I was learning from online courses with limited success). There is no substitute for a 'real life' teacher. I would 100% recommend to anyone wishing to accelerate their learning.

Russian-Lessons has been the perfect way for me to start learning a new language. Small groups, great location, forgiving teachers (!) and great communication from Daria. It's really affordable (by comparison to other lessons) and a good amount of homework to keep things fresh in your mind from week to week. Im pretty sure I'm only giving 4 out of 5 stars because I'm frustrated at my own learning pace but I'm booked on the next level course to sort that!

I did the Upper beginners course from August to November. The class was small with only three people but this allowed the teacher to provide greater focus on each individual. I can say that my reading and speaking definitely improved by the end. The course at the upper beginners level did not focus on writing or calligraphy but you were expected to write the notes down in russian. This could be different if you go to a higher level course.
