I want to leave a comment about SGI School . I have been studying at this school for more than 3 months and really enjoyed it. I was delighted with the teachers, everyone is very polite, positive, and I know how to properly convey the material. I also want to say thanks to the school administration, which is always happy to help with the solution of all arising issues. The school is located in an excellent new building with large windows, so the classrooms are very bright, this makes the learning process comfortable.

i went to the school for one month last summer. all the teachers were nice and fun. they taught me English patiently until i understood and helped me improve my English a lot. i always had fun in class. also since its location is in London, i could do a lot of fun activities after school. i really recommend to go to this school if you want to enjoy learning English and have a great experience in London.

I enjoyed my time learning English at SGI. The location of the school is good, short distance from Oxford Circus tube station. The teachers are very friendly and helpful. The course itself is excellent and the class is small group which i like it. I even met my first ever Russian friend and Middle east friend from the course.

I had great time in London at SGI! Social program events are cool - I went to musicals, museums, bowling, walks, tea and scones (very British!) and lots more. I made new friends and had lots of fun. The teachers are really very good - the best I have ever had in all my years of learning English. :)

I went to St George's school of English two weeks ago and had a really good experience. The teachers are excellent and the staff are very helpful. I made good progress and made some new friends from Japan and Russia. We had a great social activities going to the theatre and pub and clubs.
I would strongly recommend SGI if you want to really improve your English and have a great time in an excellent central London location

5 stars for the school. I loved my time in London, because my English has improved a lot. The teachers are very encouraging, and it made me feel more confident ... This is a big difference between the normal English lessons at my hometown school, where it is always grammatical questions over and over again and not speaking practice. I highly recommend it, and you should go to social program events - you can meet people from all over the world!

I have been studying English for 9 months in London where I tried different schools and I believe that SGI is the best that I have ever chosen.
Kind and helpful they helped me not only with the English but also with the daily life.
The teachers are present, prepared and do their best to help you. I still keep in contact with some of them and some time we go out together, wonderful!!!
If I could go back I would chose them ever :)

I enrolled in a CAE course and had a really good experience. Every minute was focussed in developing the learning skills you need to pass the exam. We practiced every day with real exams and the teacher gave us homework (more exam papers) to do at home, which she returned all marked with advice and comments to improve our writing skills. That's what I call value for money. Among language schools giving evening lessons this was the cheapest. And, for the record, I got my CAE. Same as 80% of my fellow students.

I spent a month in London in the summer at St. George's language school and was one of the best summers of my life. My English has improved while I was there! That month was worth a year of learning English at home. The teachers are highly trained, professional and know their stuff. But in addition, everyone is very nice and helpful, if a problem arises, always ready and quickly solve it. The social programme is always interesting, where you can chat with other students, and of course with the teachers, which is also a very good exercise.
Ever since I came home, I still read the blogs. Always a topical issue which you can read in the newspaperstoo, but the better for language learners because the articles are simpler and you can always learn something from them - grammar and new words.

Hi! I'm Sam, I spent about 6 months studying at SGI in most of the courses available, IELTS , General Eglish, Business, and one to one. I really loved being taught by the amazing teachers! By the way, there are the lessons but SGI has also an enjoyable social program that provides activities to practice english and meet other students from the school who come from many countries around the world such as Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Korea, Japan, Colombia, Russia, Argentina and so many more... I enjoyed the time I spent with them sharing some beers in the different Pubs around London ;)
To sum up, I'd say that SGI the best place to learn and improve English and I'll probably go back there if I feel the need. :)

I was a client of this school in 2014. I took a Business English course which costs 2,800 GBP.
Unfortunately the course was not good. The quality of the course was not good. The teachers did not complied the work in full. They did not give enough material and books. They were always friendly with me. Moreover I worked instead of teachers sometimes. My work costs significant money.)))) Teachers occasionally hitted me personally. They took attention to my nationality and to one of my former countries.
The staff of the school was not friendly with me. They did not served me well and they did not accommodate me well. They took attention to my nationality and passport, they threatened me with my living in London, they did not support me with appropriate visa. Moreover, they suspected me in offends those I have not done. It is serious for me and my publicity.
In the last days of the course I was pushed with another course which costs 8,700 GBP. When I reviewed my schedule I understood that I do not need this course anymore. While I asked to return me these costs under the UK law on reimbursement they did not answered me (their manager was rude).

Last autumn (2011) I participated in a competition on St George International's blog page... And I won! One free week of General English. Hurrah! :D
As I was planning to visit UK that very winter, this was really perfect timing.
The school is ideally located in Central London, close to the main shopping arteries (for those who like that sort of thing), and a short walk away from interesting places like Soho and it's Chinatown, Regent's Park and Hyde Park, etc.
Upon my arrival I was greeted by the friendly staff that made me feel very welcome. After the short initial test I was classified as proficient. As there was no General English course at that time at a proficient level, I was kindly offered two choices: I could either join an Advanced General English class, or I could join a Business English class. I'd never really learned business English and have always wanted to, so I opted for that one.
It was a good choice. The material was sufficiently challenging, and the excellent, friendly, very competent and professional teachers (*waving hello to Dan and Charlie!*) made every class interesting and fun. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, which made learning the sometimes tricky business lingo so much easier. What also added to the whole experience, especially in business English, was the fact that I got to meet a student from across the world and discuss business customs and practices, and cultural differences.
But St George International isn't just about English classes, there is also always something going on after school. Meet ups are organised, theatre and museum visits, guided tours etc. There is never a dull moment, but more importantly, this also gives the students an opportunity to get immersed in London life and learn living language on the go. For me, there is no better language practice than to use it in its natural environment, talking with the "natives".
If I ever decide to take another English language course, I know which school I'll be choosing: St George International. :)

(Translated) I was in the Business English class for 3 months and at the end I could see a significant improvement in my grammatical comprehension, reading and vocabulary improvement for professional environments. The school has made several improvements regarding the infrastructure, which was the main negative point in my opinion, including they moved the building 1 month ago.
I could see that they are taking actions regarding feedbacks, which is very good! Teachers have different styles which helps to dynamize the process and are also open to feedback. I can recommend it especially for periods longer than 2 weeks, since I was a medium term student. I suggest that when you arrive at the school, have your goals clear and talk to the board and teachers as soon as possible to see the possibility to adjust any necessary points and make your dindin count. There is no magic formula, no matter how good the course was, extra-class study is what defines progress.
(Original)
