My daughter joined Stringnote over 3 years ago and I have seen her love for music and piano grow exponentially through the excellent teaching and approach of the academy. You can tell that Marcello and Sylvia are passionate about their students and know how to nurture and encourage. The Fulham Tree method motivates the children as they move through mini grades before giving the Grade 1 piano exam.

My daughters have been learning music and piano since they are 4 years old and their musical development is fantastic! I did not want them to go through standard academic music teaching where there is too much pressure on just getting to the next grade, I wanted them to enjoy music, but at the same time get the basis of classical music to be able to read any pieces on their own.
They now really love spending time practicing on their own, and they are asking for new pieces they have heard. So, big success!

My son has been attending piano lessons at Stringnote since he was 5 and he is about to start his fourth year with them. Sylvia, Marcelo and all the staff have been always very professional as directors and as teachers, showing always kind, flexible and helpful manners. Their method, skills and attitude towards my son have made him love music, encouraged him to practice at home with no effort and to learn how to listen, read and play music. We are very happy with his progress. I highly recommend Stringnote.

Our daughter has come a long way since she started attending the Stringnote Academy. The best music academy you can send your child to! Incredibly professional and talented teachers. They have been brilliant in helping our daughter continue the sessions online during the lock down and they kept the same quality of sessions. Highly recommended.

My son has started piano when he was 3.5 years old and he’s now in grade 1 (7 years old). He loves playing the piano and started playing the guitar also this year. Stringnote has made this possible with their wonderful approach to music, Marcello’s amazing compositions, continuous passion and dedication for their students.

I have known Marcelo and Sylvia since my eldest (now 15) started piano when he was 6. The teaching, patience and encouragement he received weekly has proved invaluable in helping my son develop his love for music and performing. He is now preparing for his grade 8 piano, got into his secondary school via a music scholarship and has this year won the piano competition of his entire school. I genuinely believe that it was down to his teacher who has helped him over the years love music and perform to his best potential. My daughter (9), after two attempts with other teachers to learn piano, has recently started lessons with Marcelo. Her enthusiasm is back and she has passed her first grade with distinction ! Over the years I have recommended to several friends and family.

Superb music lessons - from beginner right through the grade system.
My son has been attending Stringnote since Year 1 at school. It has given him a confident understanding of music theory that is often missing in the state education system at primary level. As he has progressed and grown, we have been able to adapt his lessons at Stringnote to keep him interested and stretched. The Academy teachers get to know their pupils well and are able to support and nurture their musical development and skills. Stringnote are well established in SW London and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering either starting music/instrument lessons for their child, or building on skills they already have.

My 8-year-old absolutely loves his piano lessons at Stringnote. He's made great friends there over the past three years, is extremely fond of his teachers, and their imaginative teaching and support saw him achieve a distinction in his Grade 1 exam earlier this year. Marcello and Sylvia have both nurtured him in different ways and I sincerely value their creativity and deep interest in developing my son's abilities and love for music.

We know Marcello and Sylvia for over 8 years now. Both of our children are truly enjoying their music lessons, making a great progress technically and exploring a wide spectrum of music styles.
Marcello is not only a talented and attentive teacher, but also an author of a unique approach to teaching music, developed for piano and guitar. It worked really well for our kids, as they were able to learn how to play their favourite instruments relatively quickly and were equipped to start discovering music on their own at early age.

My daughter is enjoying her piano lessons at Stringnote. Marcello is professional, very patient and has a great rapport with my daughter. He makes the lessons fun, and she is progressing well.

I have known Marcello and Sylvia since 2010, when my son started taking his first guitar lessons with Marcello. My son is now almost 17 and has just passed his Grade 8 exam. With every single one of his guitar grades he has either achieved a Merit or a Distinction. Marcello has been absolutely crucial to my son's passion for playing the guitar and for achieving good results. From the very beginning, he made sure the lessons were not just about theory and exam pieces practice but also allowing him to choose his own pieces, and allowing him to develop his own interpretations. As a result, I have over the years, very often found him listening to Youtube videos and adapting songs to suit his own interpretation and style. If it wasn't for Marcello and his team of teachers, he would have never known how to do so, nor have the confidence to do it either.
Sylvia, has been since the beginning, and still is a hugely important part of the whole Music school. She has always accommodated us countless times over the last 8 years and always found ways of sorting out any clashes, illnesses, catch-up lessons etc. Before and after every exam, my son would always receive an encouraging, supporting and congratulating message from both Sylvia and Marcello. Eventhough he has now finished all his music grades, we are continuing with the weekly lessons next year and beyond.
Marcello, Sylvia and the rest of the teaching team are both a truly central part of my son's music development and success. I will never stop recommending the school enough to any friend who asks for advice on music tuition. Galia

Our two sons have had guitar lessons via Stringnote for years and we have found their service and support of consistent excellent quality. All teachers we have had have been great, from beginner stage to now Grade 6 and 7, and Sylvia was always very helpful and accommodating in planning the sessions. Would highly recommend their services.

This music school was so lovely. It's a blend of music theory, one to one piano lessons and social development of your child. The beautiful park in front of pavilion the lessons take place in, means your child can run outside and it not feel like a chore when their lessons start.
The most noticeable change I saw in our daughter is her love for and understanding of music developed rapidly, which for our family extended into Indian music - so it shows just how universal a language music truly is!
I only which we could duplicate Sylvia and Marchello and get them into each and every school and local area, so that everyone else could experience their very personal and unique approach to teaching music.
Hats off to you both and here's to many more music filled years ahead....

Stringnote Academy is honestly a 5 star academy. My daughter has been attending from the tender age of 4. With their brilliant method Marcelo, Sylvia and the fellow teachers have taught my daughter how to read, hear, and play music skilfully; with her achieving excellent results in her mini-grade exams. Their piano (and singing) lessons are second to none - with us driving all the way down from Enfield, Middlesex to come to this fantastic academy here in Fulham. Their unique methodology is worth the 1 1/2 hour drive up and the 2 hour rush-hour drive back home. We’ve been doing this happily for 2 years straight now. If you want your child(ren) to learn in a safe, caring and serious atmosphere, then send them here to Stringnote.

My daughter started with Stringnote when she was 3 years old. Having researched a whole bunch of classes, I can still confidently say that Stringnote's methodology and approach to music is by far the most developed and superior when it comes to developing a lifelong relationship with music, which transcends into other aspects of your child's social, emotional and academic development.
These guys are amazing! And since we joined at least 4-5 of our other friends sent their children too, which makes it a great social get together for all the parents involved. In addition to regular assessments, Sylvia and Marchello also put on an annual performance for all the children and their parents, which is a great confidence booster for your child.
In summary, look no further. THIS is the class your child needs, you'll see them blossom and wish you'd started even earlier!
Keep up the great work Sylvia and Marchello :-)

An excellent music academy run by two caring and enthusiastic directors. Our son has been attending since he was 3 and has developed great musicality. The classes are designed to inspire the children and help them progress at their own pace, but alongside their peers.

My son has been at Stringnote since he was three years old and I have nothing but praise for Sylvia and Marcello. It is very well organised and although Sylvia can be bit strict I think that’s a good thing as if the child is not committed it is a waste of everyone’s time and money. My son has done extremely well under their tuition and I can’t praise them enough.

Such innovative music lessons and imaginative teaching has encouraged our child to learn and enjoy music at every level. We've recommended Stringnote to our friends with confidence that their children will love it too. What a difference their method makes.
