Trained at AFS Wing Chun for a bit when I was staying in Newcastle. I had a background in Jiu Jitsu and Karate as a kid, but was fresh to Wing Chun. Sifu Paul O'Neal was great and really welcoming to beginners and was able to teach drills and techniques that benefitted both myself as a beginner and the more experienced practitioners. The class environment is really friendly and the quality of Wing Chun taught looks to be top notch. Would heavily recommend to anyone even thinking of trying out a martial art, or just wanting to improve overall fitness and coordination.

I have been training at AFS Wing Chun for a while now. It's a friendly class with a knowledgeable and down to earth teacher. Definitely worth a look if you're interested in martial arts and especially if you want Wing Chun.

I’ve been learning Wing Chun with Sifu O’Neal for a little under a year now, both attending classes at the club in Newcastle and by private lesson. In that time I’ve experienced Sifu’s incredible depth of knowledge and his patience in teaching the intricacies of the Wing Chun system. I’ve found Sifu O’Neal to offer a well-rounded approach to teaching Wing Chun, covering not only the theories behind the art but also its practical applications in real-life. The club has a welcoming atmosphere unlike any martial arts club I’ve attended in the past and Sifu’s passion for sharing his knowledge, along with the guidance of the senior students make it a great environment in which to learn Wing Chun.

I have been studying under Paul for over 10 years through AFS and recommend this place whole heartedly. Paul has trained under the sons of Ip Man and has over 30 years experience and you can really tell. Fantastic classes and friendly students. Very welcoming place!
