Family friendly dojo. I'd been looking to start a new martial art and been hoping to find something fun and friendly. From my first session everyone was very welcoming. You don't need any experience just good attitude. It's good fitness and there's plenty of mat space

My two kids absolutely love coming here, I don't have to drag them out of the house kicking and screaming and they both want to attend, often 3 times per week! The trainers are really patient and encouraging and all the students are disciplined and respectful towards each other.Would recommend 100%.

Using BJJ as my primary way to get fit has been the finest decision I have made. A skill and a huge workout all in one, which has increased my confidence in self defence. I’m surrounded by amazing people and always smiling during classes - it’s hard not to! I’ve tried other types of martial arts and I’m beyond glad to have found this sport. Professors and others you train with are veryy knowledgeable and know how to cater to you should you need help. You’re more than likely to get 100% out of every class - no time or efficiency is ever lost.

The team goes above and beyond to make the children feel included, valued and safe, as well as making sure they enjoy themselves in the super fun classes. It can all be summarized to a continuous marvellous experience, but, if you are here, I am certain you want to hear more. My son started to attend classes more than a year ago and the expectations were surprisingly exceeded since day one. In the academy they are not only forming good athletes but mainly good human beings with the values that are transmitted, and let's be honest, what's more valuable than that? It's certain that after every class my little one comes out with a big smile on his face. I have started to attend classes as well and can only tell that's the best thing I have done for myself in years. Not only on the sport side but for the fun and stress release after a busy day in the office. Book your free trial and it's guaranteed that you are only going to wish you had started earlier - as I do! The best place to train! All of the Professors and Coaches are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable and they always have time for you if there is something you're not sure about! Starting BJJ can be daunting and I was nervous before I went, but the second I walked in I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. 3 years on, I've gone from training once a week to as many days as I can and I can't imagine training anywhere else! Everyone there is like a family and it makes for a super positive atmosphere. A lot of care has also been taken in making the academy a nice place to train, with high standards of hygiene and cleanliness! They've also gone above and beyond in ensuring we have consistent and quality training through the pandemic using Zoom! Thank you!

This club is a fantastic club. Everyone is super friendly and supportive. All the instructors are world class and cater their teaching methods to different students learning styles, body types and personal goals. My daughter trains here too and she loves it. I’ve personally found all the other students to be helpful, kind and there is a real team spirit whenever we train. I’ve made some great friends here too. Just a friendly warning though, jujitsu is addictive and it will become a big part of your life. Join with confidence.

I've tried other Jiu-Jitsu clubs and was a little apprehensive of going elsewhere but I can wholeheartedly say that GB Arnold really are the best! Every instructor is knowledgeable, skilled and incredibly enthusiastic in every class and I always leave having developed and learnt a great deal. Learning Jiu-Jitsu can be tough (but if it were easy, it wouldn't be worth learning!) but the whole club is managed really professionally with a very welcoming atmosphere making training week in, week out much more inviting. Hygiene is also taken very seriously and the facilities are great. The structure of every class means you know what you will be covering in advance which along with the excellent structure of the programme means there is space for you to develop in a safe yet challenging manner whether you are looking to compete, learn self-defence, or just get fitter, there is a place for you in the club. Everyone who trains there is really supportive and there is a great team atmosphere. If you're thinking of giving Jiu-Jitsu a go, there's really nowhere better than GB Arnold. Give it a go, you won't regret it!

This was love from the first sight. This is a place where my child WANTS to go to. We absolutely love the teaching, there are at least 3 coaches, so no child is left with no attention, everyone is trained individually. Hand on heart best decision I ever made enrolling my daughter. The club is fantastic; from the support team, coaches to the professors. Everyone has been very welcoming and made it so easy for my little one to settle. The enthusiasm of the professors is amazing to see; how they are able to get a class of 3-4 year olds to engage and learn whilst still keeping it fun. In the short period of 8 weeks my daughter has learnt so much and developed. She really looks forward to her jujitsu classes. I stayed training at the academy in January. I was very nervous before joining having 0 experience in form of martial arts. Everyone at the club has been very welcoming. The classes are very fun and there’s alway some to learn for everyone. My 5 year old has just started in the Little Champions class. We were made to feel welcome in our taster session. Upon joining, additional support was provided for the first session so he didn't seem completely lost in this new environment, with new exercises and techniques being shown. All the kids have such a great time and it's fantastic to see the crossover between having fun and learning technique and respect at the same time.

I've been training here for a few months now and really enjoy coming. Professor Simon and the team always make me feel welcome. I've trained in other martial arts (Judo, Japanese Jujitsu) and while they were great, I love the structure at Gracie Barra. There is a rolling program for new comers designed to build fitness and technique, and then classes for more advanced students.. the classes are a balance of technique, repetition, and light sparing. The instruction is first class with many of the instructors training and competing to a high level. Also with it being a full time training center there are classes that can be attended every day, six days a week, also some lunch time classes.

I just have one word to describe the experience "AMAZING". Our 6 year old Daughter went for the free trial she's nervous with things that are new and just stood and watched from the side for the first 30 minutes, but the guys there were great there was no pressure just encouragement, she eventually got onto the mat but just watched. After the lesson i asked her is she enjoyed it and if she wanted to come back again which she said she did again they were very kind and offered us another free trial as she had not joined in. She now goes 3 times a week, she's practicing at home and loves every minute and has a constant smile on her face :-)

I've been a part of the Gracie Barra Arnold team for just oer a couple of years now and it has truly been one of the best decisions I've ever taken. The warmth and compassion you'll receive from everyone there wasn't something I'd expected and has been such a big part of my journey. The classes are informative, easy to understand and excellent for getting fitter and gaining some more self-confidence in lots of different situations. My fitness has gone through the roof since starting and I look forward to getting back on the mats each week, regardless of bumps or bruises, it's a 100% worth every minute. Give it a try!

My son Mason has been training at Gracie Barra Arnold for around 18 months, He has taken to Jiu Jitsu like a duck to water, He has made fast progress and has now earned his blue belt and has joined the advanced class. His first competition was the European championships, Under the close guidance of Professor Simon, (The boss, biggest guy in the room, big beard, Black belt) Mason came home with the gold medal and was crowned European champion! Since then I have been ushered off the spectator’s seats and onto the mats by professor Simon which didn’t take much persuasion! (Rear naked choke, you will join my academy or else…only joking!) The Academy is extremely well run, The GB syllabus is awesome, and all of the instructors are amazing. I have learned so much in such a short space of time and that is of course simply down to good instruction. Regardless of whoever is taking the lesson, All the instructors at GB Arnold are extremely talented not only at Jiu Jitsu, But instructional technique. Professor Simon has done a great job in hand selecting his team. If you are looking to improve your fitness, self confidence, make new friends, and learn some really cool techniques, look no further, pop in to GB Arnold, first lesson is absolutely free! Not all Academies are equal, you will not find better anywhere else!
