Good teacher
Really enjoy being in Jim's lessons as they are fun and I learn a lot in them. He creates backing tracks that I play along to at home and they help a lot. I would definitely recommend for all those who wish to play an instrument.

I have been tutored by Jim on the electric guitar for three months. I tried to teach myself online but hit a brick wall. Jim taught me in 5 minutes what I had been trying to do for 4 years. I am finding it tough but Jim reassures me and encourages me. I am enjoying the challenges he gives me. Glad I found him and wish he had started earlier.

Jim an excellent teacher. I’ve been learning both Ukulele and Guitar with him for the past couple of months. He’s incredibly patient and has a great ability to push me just the right amount each lesson so I feel myself progressing consistently without becoming overwhelmed.
In the past I’ve had brief stints of self teaching but it doesn’t compare in the slightest to having someone there who can provide that feedback, offer their expert advice while also motivate you by demonstration of their own abilities. I’m so glad I chose to take up lessons and hope to continue indefinitely :)

I have been learning to play the 4 string Irish Tenor Banjo with Jim for the past 9 months. Jim is friendly, knowledgable and patient. He is a natural teacher who wants his students to learn and grow with good habits which I respect. Its never too late to follow your passion, I have no hesitation in recommending Jim as a music teacher for all ages.

I cannot say enough good things nor recommend Jim highly enough. He is clear and consice with his tuition and above all else incredibly patient. I would travel a long way and will do to attend his lessons. Graham, tilehurst

Great teacher. Very encouraging and patient. Range of instruments taught, and musical styles for all tastes.

I have known Jim for many years and have always enjoyed listening to his music as he is a very talented musician with a very wide repertoire. I recently got married and without me knowing some of my friends asked Jim to play the guitar and the mandolin at the wedding. He arrived at very short notice having performed at other events during the day. I was so excited to find out that he was going to entertain our guests and thrilled when he played my favourite song on the guitar which is Cavatina which was the song we had chosen to dance to as our first dance, I would never have believed that he would arrive to play the tune live and in person.
Thanks Jim you are a real star and we all had a fantastic night, I would not hesitate to recommend you.
