If you're looking for a great local art workshop with a teacher who caters to all skill levels then Turner's painting school is for you. Marc's classes are both fun and educational, whilst designed to build your confidence to paint. I opted for the 2 day beginners oil workshop, I'd painted watercolours before but didn't know where to start with oils. So glad I did, what a blast. Others on the course included absolute beginners and others like me who had some ability, Marc was able to pitch the course just right for everyone, we created some great pictures and definitely gained confidence in putting down paint! All materials provided, great value, I'll definitely book again. Thanks so much for a great course Marc.

Spent the day with Marc on his Paint like Bob Ross course. Got to say the studio is amazing and Marc is a very good teacher. I have never painted anything before but always been a fan of Bob Ross. Marc was very welcoming and also very funny. His class is easy to follow and i can't reccomend it enough! Met some great people and we all had a great day.

Attended Marc's class to paint like Bob Ross. This was a fantastic experience, Marc was very knowledgeable, informative and a lovely relaxed manner. From the moment I arrived I felt very comfortable and ready to learn. I had not painted before and with Marc's direction and instruction I managed to produce a reasonable piece to look at. Although I'm not new to drawing, I'm a complete beginner in painting and had always wanted to learn properly. I've recently completed a couple of 2-day courses with Marc (Introduction to Oil Painting and Paint Like Turner). This time spent with Marc has been extremely inspiring and has made me want to pursue painting further! I've learnt some great skills that I'll continue to use at home. Marc is a brilliant teacher. He is patient, enthusiastic and encouraging. He knows how to work to peoples' strengths and get the best out of them. He is a talented artist and as well as all this, his lessons are fun and entertaining! I had a great time throughout both of these courses and I'll definitely be back for more! I'd recommend Marc's classes to anyone. No matter your current skill level, if you'd like to learn/improve your painting in a relaxed, fun, friendly environment, you won't find better than Marc!

What a great weekend I’ve just been on the 2 day beginner’s oil painting course. Marc is an experienced , enthusiastic tutor who through constructive encouragement installs confidence into his pupils. I had never worked in oils before but by the end of the course I was able to walk away with 2 paintings to be proud of. All materials are supplied and the workshop had an excellent location next to the Heritage Cafe at Walton Gardens which is great for a drink or snack . Skills were shared and advice given not only about types of materials to work with but also how to dispose of them in an economic and environmental manner. I will certainly be booking another course with Marc Thank you Marc.

What a great event, Marc is a great tutor. I have been on a couple of Marc’s courses and enjoyed them thoroughly. They are great fun, and an amazing learning experience, I can’t recommend them enough. The venue is great too, the studio is set within the heritage stable courtyard at Walton Hall Warrington. The studio is well set out, light airy and gives a really professional setting to enjoy the day. To note, not stuffy or formal, very engaging and great fun.

Just completed the 2 Day Introduction to Oil Painting Course with Marc. It was informative enjoyable and I certainly learnt a great deal about mixing colours and how colours work to bring perspective and form. I got to experiment and try different painting techniques with no pressure to get it exactly right. I left with two paintings not bad for a complete amateur. Marc made it relaxed and fun I now feel that I can paint and have the confidence to keep going, with practice I can only get better. Thanks Marc.

Initially I would have said that I was a poor oil painter, but after this weekend course I feel that I produced 4 pieces of work that I'm proud to say 'I did that!' Marc makes you feel comfortable and confident and explains everything from where paint originally came from to how to improve on your own way of painting. I attended Marc Turner's two day Introduction to Oil Painting course this weekend and it was brilliant. Marc is a very good teacher, knowledgeable, informative and encouraging. What he doesn't know about making paint probably isn't worth knowing! Everything you needed was supplied and the course was very good value for money. This was the first thing I have attended since before the lockdown, and all was handled safely and professionally. I have just finished a two day course on introduction to oil painting. I can't recommend it enough, Marc is a really knowledgeable teacher, he created a really warm and relaxed atmosphere and allowed you to work at your own pace. Thoroughly enjoyed the two days and will definitely be doing more courses with Marc :)

Absolutely loved the 2 day introduction to oil painting. Marc was a fantastic tutor and was encouraging and fun whilst helping the class to learn techniques to improve our painting ability. Wow! What a great tutor and a fantastic painting experience! I was given a 5 lesson oil course with Marc as a birthday present from my husband as I had been promising to paint his favourite scene for a long time and just hadn’t ‘got round to it’ as I was scared of it! A lesson or two with Marc and I was launched into a big version of the scene under his brilliant tutelage and I am so pleased with the result I can’t wait for my husband to see it! Two day Introduction to Oil painting course: after not painting for 17 years I was excited to book on. The way in which Marc taught us in stages was fantastic such as components of paint, materials and the color wheel. Then logical stages of building up the painting. He made everything very relevant and easy to understand. The passion for painting is reflected in his teaching style. Marc is the most talented art tutor I have met. He is patient and explains everything easily, following the masters' techniques in a methodical manner. From all my learning experiences I can truly say Marc has helped me the most. He also supplies quality materials at far better than normal retail prices .He is very encouraging and supportive at all stages and will work at the correct pace to suit each person. He also supplies all materials for his courses, and his studio is situated in a very lovely , peaceful area. Very flexible as well. Well worth the price he charges, you will get far more out of his courses than you would expect.
