I’ve been coming to Lilly Raes for years to get my shoes repaired. Glen has repaired all sorts for me from work shoes to cowboy boots and trainers. Here is a pair of trainers I had recently re-soled and one had the heel fixed inside. I’ve always found the price is fair and would recommend our local cobbler over buying new footwear. Years ago we used to get our shoes fixed here, and they did a great job. These days sadly it is often cheaper to just buy new shoes, though maybe that's us buying cheap shoes. Now we mainly get keys cut here, and they do a good job, at a good price for that also. Bizarre thing on my last visit, a cat asleep behind the counter. It did not even twitch when the key cutting machine fired up!

It is important that we support our local business. Glyn does not disappoint. He is very friendly and very professional. I made the mistake of going elsewhere to get my keys cut and my shoes repaired as it was cheaper, but cheapness did not pay and couldn't compare to the quality provided here. So now I just come to Lily Raes and get a quality service.

Highly recommend! I had tried to replace the battery in my watch myself and couldn't get the back on, so on the off chance I went to Lilly Rae's to see if they could help. Glyn was useful, friendly and even let me fix it myself (under his supervision). Plus it was on the house, thanks Glyn!

Glyn who helped me with my request, was willing to cut a set of keys even though he was due to lock up shortly, he was very efficient and was done in a few minutes. He also helped with an additional problem I needed help with... regarding a new leather belt, again no hesitation to help, he through this in as a freebie when he could have easily charged me. No hesitation in recommending his services.

I brought in a pair of well worn Chelsea boot that I had not properly looked after and were in a bad state with destroyed heels and split rubber soles. They were able to salvage them and the soles and heels are better than when I first bought them. Cannot recommend enough!

I came in a couple Saturday's back to be greeted by Glyn. I had a pair of Doc Martens in which the leather partially came off the soles. Glyn gave me an honest assessment of the boots and said there would be no way to fully seal the leather to the sole, but that he would attempt to close the gap by patching it with a piece of leather. He told me it would take a week to get it done. Glyn was very nice and honest, something I appreciate from my customer service. I only recently got the boots back and have used them once, so I can't speak to how long they will hold, but I will definitely return to Glyn's shop if I ever need any shoe repairs.

Just has a key cut for a multi lock door. I didn’t have the card and they did warn me without the card it may not work. Got the key cut and went home and it didn’t work, went back again and it worked the second time. Great service get your keys cut here!!!

Over eleven years, I have often needed keys cut in London. We move to Bermondsey next week, so more keys needed. By chance I found Lilly Raes - it was close by. It turned out to be far and away the very best experience I have had in relation to having keys cut in London. Impeccable workmanship, friendly and courteous service and a fair and competitive price. Cannot recommend this business enough. 2021 Update: Recently, I asked the gentleman here if he would be able to sympathetically repair a leather carry-bag - a zipper had broken. It could not be repaired. The bag was a much loved gift, purchased in Florence. I really wanted it repaired. The gentleman said he would do his best to replace the zip. And he did. The result was beyond my expectations - you would never know that the bag had been repaired. The detail in the work was exceptional; great care had been taken. The service here, and the advice given, is really first-class. Repairing or cleaning shoes, fixing belts and bags, cutting keys - across the full range of services there is only great service on display. Thoroughly recommended without reservation. And very good value for money.

I've never had a pair of shoe soles repaired before but I really loved my leather boots and wasn't finding anything better or more comfortable in stores. I went to Lily Raes because of the positive reviews I read online and they are 100% accurate. I collected my boots Tuesday and was shocked that they looked as good as new, I was thrilled! They had been polished to perfection and were ready to wear again. The man at the shop (I'm sorry I didn't get your name) was very friendly, the price was very reasonable, and they did a spectacular job. My partner and I will absolutely be going back. Recently had a pair of very tired 1/4 brouges resoled with Dainite soles. The cobbler even patched a small hole in the upper at no additional charge. The pricing is very competitive, the service very friendly and considerate - the cobbler even ordered in a pair of JR Rendenbach soles (the best leather soles in the industry) for a future resoling even though I didnt request him to do so. Very happy to support this local business.
