Very impressed by the level of service I recieved. Staff can make or break a shop and at Runners Need Clapham Junction Staff made me feel welcome, at ease and advised me really well. They carried out gait analysis for free on me and recommended running trainers which they got right first time even though I got to try out half a dozen pairs. My opinion is that the staff makes or breaks a shop. This one has awesome staff, who go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable to ask, are knowledgeable and give the best advice. Yes, the prices are a bit on the top ones, but it isn't likely to buy a pair or running shoes every day! I would definitely recommend and will come back.

I visited here after being referred by a friend who had had a fantastic experience buying a pair of running trainers for his first marathon. I visited today and wasn’t disappointed! The staff are super friendly and knowledgable. The in-store running machine and camera helped guide my shoe selection (I have flat feet!). There was great stock selection and a good price range to meet my needs. Definitely visit!

Really good shop with great selection of running shoes. The staff working there have a great knowledge on which type of shoes is better for your feet. Just ask them questions about what type of running you do and they will bring you a few pairs to try on. They have a treadmill inside the store so you can try the shoes before buying. Some brands offer 30 days try out so once you buy a pair and it doesn’t fit after longer run you are able to return it.

Really helpful. Small store that does get quite busy so can wait a while to get served but brilliant serves. Asked what the trainers are for (short runs, marathons, etc). Talked about the different types of shoes. Try on shoes and see for size then try the treadmill. I was a little hesitant about this but not as awkward as I thought. Really useful analysis. Tried a couple of shoes bad could really feel the differences. Wasn't told the price of the shoes as I was trying them on so that potentially a trap but I also didn't ask. The salesperson was really knowledgeable and didn't seem to be pushing any products onto me. He did explain the various different parts of the shoes and other equipment I might need. He even suggested to hold off on some equipment until the weather changes.

Attentive service even when the shop was very busy. They presented a range of shoes based on asking questions on what sort of thing we’d like. No pressure to decide quickly and could use them all on the treadmill, as well as filming how you run to help decide what type of shoes were best. Only negative was the lack of cheaper shoes.

The staff member who served me was an experienced runner and knew all the different brands and types of running shoe really well. He was able to identify 4-5 comparable running shoes to the type I had been using across different brands and brought them all out so I could try. Then tried the most comfortable options on the treadmill to identify best fit and feel while running. Would recommend getting running shoes from this store.

Reasonable selection of running shoes, bikes and equipment. When I last walked in I was very much in the market for shoes and I waited for 20 mins and still no one offered to help. All of the staff were happier to be stood behind the till. The shoes I did look at were not all of the grade I was looking for (compare online and you will see) many of the stock was a year old but not competitively priced. There are many other shops in Bristol that offer better service.

The service in this store is great. The staff listen to your individual running quirks or problems and make suggestions based on knowledge rather than money. They aren't pushy but will take the time to help you make an informed decision even if that is to leave it for another day. The free running club is inclusive and supportive.
