I had my boots repaired here before - looks like new! And I got a bag for my birthday but couldn’t close it - the clasp didn’t work. I asked Sid’s opinion what can I do and he fixed it in 10 seconds! He is brilliant and very helpful. Great small business, good people fair prices, highly recommended!

I was given a rather shabby looking trophy by my son's school for achieving something that meant a great deal to him. It was also completely blank so it didn't even call out his accomplishment. I called around to see who could touch it up and make it special, when I realised a lot of the places simply outsource engraving to other locations, but not Sids. They walked me through everything I wanted, and even advised me how to save money. When all was said and done, I ended up with better products than I had hoped for, at a reasonable price, in just a couple days. Chain stores may advertise good prices and service, but my experience has been they don't actually deliver. Sid's delivered precisely what I wanted and more. Sid engraved six trophies for me with the logo for my event: Complicated work on a curved surface and unusual material (Alumninium). He changed the set up of his machine specially to do the job and they came up great. Sid took a call and gave advice before taking the job.

It is very rare to find someone who offers such an incredible personal service as well as high quality finishes. A really good local service. Very friendly and extremely professional. I had a trophy to engrave. When I showed them it, they warned me that they were not able to match the exact typeface used in previous engravings on the trophy. I decided to go ahead anyway, and to be honest I cannot spot any difference at all, so they are obviously perfectionists, which is really good to see in this day and age. The job was done the same day, and at a very reasonable price. I am delighted with the result. This place comes highly recommended.

Cannot fault anything at Sid's. The service was amazing and not to mention he's a top bloke as well. Sid went out of his way to facetime me and freely advise on some issues with my lock and key as i was locked inside my flat. Sid then offered to help me out and come to my flat to then open the door for me. May seem a little thing, but it goes a long way for me, most places would charge stupid prices yet Sid done it without question and didn't even take my offer up on some lunch as a thank you!!! Mr & Mrs Sid’s are very friendly and helpful. I had big trouble to make copies of a new lock for a door of the office, which was installed by a locksmith (who made me pay a lot for a cheap lock). Mr Sid very patiently made a few trial and let me test the key before paying for the other copies. After a few attempt Mr Sid has managed to make 15 copies and all working perfectly - life saviour. 🙂

Sid's were able to re-sole (in leather with stitching) and re-heel my shoes within 24 hours of me bringing them in, having requested a quick turnaround, and they offered a very high level of craftsmanship. I’m not usually one for leaving reviews but felt I had to today as Sid was so helpful and repaired my handbag strap that a previous repair shop had refused as he said and I quote “the leather would bend all his needles” 🤨. Thank goodness he did or I wouldn’t have found Sid. What an absolute professional who knows his trade and also has a great sense of humour. Excellent service, I walked in yesterday to repair my new Samuel Windsors. The couple were so Helpful explaining different types of soles to me and offered to repair my shoes on the spot. Absolutely outstanding service. After searching London for a key cutting company who could mend my snapped car key I was told ‘your only hope is Sids’. Hallelujah!!! I have finally found a true cobbler. Tired of the tired old high street shoe repair shop I thought there has to be more out there. Sid's Ltd has received great internet reviews so I thought why not? On entering the shop it was nice to be (genuinely) greeted. I had a pair of leather brogue boots that needed a new sole. Truthfully the front of the soles had lifted from the boot other than that they were fine. I asked for a resole and re-heel. I was advised it wasn't necessary for a re-heel. Honest or what? I collected the boots 24 hours later....Perfection. The boots looked brand new. The cost was very reasonable too. My holy grail cobbler....

I took a pair of Chelsea boots in to Sid's that quite honestly I thought had seen their final days and the they have been transformed and look better than they ever did! They had salt stains and looked awful and now I am getting so many compliments on how good quality they look (stains gone, new quality heel and waxed to perfection). This is all thanks to them. This place is 100% worth it, they genuinely care about making your shoes better for you and customer service and friendliness is great. Would recommend to anyone to go in if they have any queries. They are super helpful and honest with advice too, they'll let you know what you need and if you decide not to go ahead with it you can always leave the shoes with them and they will recycle them for you. These guys know their stuff!

This is a great family owned shop with friendly and fantastic customer service. I took a pair of leather boots to another shop nearby a franchise store who advised me they couldn't fix them, I had seen SIDS before so decided to take them there I was greated by a friendly woman and the owner who said he could fix my boots no problem. There are few real masters of their trade these days - the artisan craftsman is a dying breed, it feels - fear not, Sid's are at hand. They will restore your shoes (or any other fine leather goods) and keep them going, after five years of tread, with their care my shoes are still pristine. Good advice - take your new shoes here and they will last three times as long right off the bat. Brilliant.

Picture the scene. Walking to the station for a day of presentations in Leeds. Suddenly, the front rubber of my smart black shoes comes loose at the front, sticking out! I get nervous, people are going to notice. And then in the distance, rising from the ground mist. I see the red sign for Sid’s. The local shoe repair and key cutting specialist. Now Mr and Mrs Sid look after all me and my wife’s shoe repair and key cutting needs. Have done for the past two years, since we moved here. Quite often I pass them in the morning if off somewhere on the tube, as they are 5 minutes from Hammersmith Station. They always smile and wave, if we catch each other’s eye. This morning I walked past, smiled and waved and then walked inside. Like a child who had broken their toy. I tooked desperate. The clock was ticking and that Leeds train waits for no man. In no time Sid had my shoe in a clamp (it was off my foot) and the offending rubber had been glued and set. Seconds later, I was back on my way to reach my train. I can honestly say, I have seen F1 Pitstops take longer! Three cheers for Mr and Mrs Sid and their excellent swift service! A true reminder why great businesses like this will forever be on the High Street and in our hearts.
