Excellent experience. It's current 4.8 rating is too low for their excellent service and customer experience. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and use of their treadmill is actively encouraged regardless of when you turn up to ensure you get the correct shoes for your gait.

I’ve been meaning to put this review up since May; better late than never, I suppose - I hope it helps readers. Whilst training for an ultra trail run 🏃🏾‍♂️ I was trying to find the best shoes “for me”, after a Nike Pegasus and a Hoka, I decided enough; I needed professional help and professional service I founded here. They were so knowledgeable; they even alerted me that the (curious) fact that I had a bigger foot, I had no idea after 35yrs. In the end, the Salomon Sense Rider 4 were the right shoes for me, maybe even perfect. Lastly, I was about to spend more on running shorts because of chafing until the guys recommended the Runners Rub, an incredible product. Cheers guys! 👏🏽

The best place in London for runners to shop. David was an absolute legend, approachable, patient and literally a bible of knowledge for runners (thank you very much for all your help yesterday!). Good variety of products, both shoes and apparel of my favourite brands (On-running, Under Armour and Brooks). Sizes were all available to pick up the same day. Won't be going anywhere else and will be taking the missus there too!

Having just bought my third pair of proper running shoes from these guys, I really owe them a review! Each time I've bought shoes here they've been so helpful: they gave me their full attention and support, and were happy to answer all my newbie running questions. They also get you on the treadmill with video replay, so that when you find the right shoe for you, you can confirm by eye what your feet are telling you. Would totally recommend!

I came in for a wonderful gait analysis a few weeks ago with Dave. He analysed the way I was running and suggested some brands and allowed me to run in all of them. When I got home, I decided the shoes I'd chosen were not for me and came back in about a week ago to exchange them with Simon. Simon gave me tips about my shin splints and what might be causing them. Both Dave and Simon are really nice, knowledgable and helpful and remembered me, my name and details I'd mentioned two weeks prior! My first proper running shoes! Massively impressed with this place. Dave was friendly and helpful, listened to my running history then explained how gait analysis works. Ended up running with 4 different shoes (on a treadmill hidden round a corner so it was nice and private) but there was never any pressure to hurry up and I wasn't pushed towards a particular brand. Visited this place in July last year and never got round to leaving my 5 star review, but I found myself raving about what a legend Dave is to another running friend only yesterday, so thought I’d should rectify that! Such a great experience at The Running Works. Went today for the first time to get a new pair of shoes and to say the service was amazing would be an understatement. Not only was Dave incredibly patient and methodical, the knowledge he had was the best I've ever come across with regard to brands, types of shoe, injury and general running. Don't normally write reviews but I feel compelled to on this occasion. The service I received from David K was absolutely brilliant. He provided a thorough analysis of my gait and talked this through with me, before picking out a few different options for me to try. He also took the time to discuss each of the shoes with me whilst I was trying them on. All of this at close to 7pm on a Friday when he'd been working since 10am! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for their next pair of running shoes, whether you're a beginner or have been running for years.

If you want a fair, unbiased place with recommendations from staff who really know what they're talking about, this is the place to come. Dave was outstanding. Took me through a gait analysis, asked good questions and answered loads of mine. Walked out with (actually ran home in) a well fitting and fairly priced pair of of shoes to train up for a half marathon. Great advice - even learnt how to tie my laces better!

Amazing customer service. Walked into the shop around 6:30pm on a Wednesday, assistant was helpful and offered two of us running analysis on their treadmill. Afterwards brought out 3 pairs of shoes (each) based on our running style for us to try. No pushy sales tactics at all, he genuinely just wanted to get us the best pair of shoes he could. I only come here to buy my running shoes now as the staff here have never done me wrong. They recommended me a pair of shoes that are the best I've ever worn. They had to order in my size and there was a delay of a few weeks to get them in. They kept me up to date with what was happening and in the end gave me a discount as a way of apology. They went above and beyond which is something that doesn't happen that much in london shops as such have customer for life.

Went in on my lunch hour looking to upgrade my cross trainers to a decent pair of road running shoes. Mary was more than helpful and really made the experience both enjoyable and educational. I tried on 6 pairs of trainers and am really happy with my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 19. I didn’t feel pushed towards any brand or price bracket, but felt I was given the assistance I needed to find the right pair of trainers for me.

Had planned to buy Brooks Nightlife tights and jacket for my wife for Christmas as gifts. Couldn't find anywhere in Northern Ireland which stocked the apparel. Looked online on Black Friday and saw Runningworks had great discounts on the Nightlife range. Ordered the items at two separate times on Black Friday and was very happy when the guys combined postage on the two orders and gave me a postage refund. As it turned out, the tights were too big and were returned for a smaller size. New smaller sized item arrived the next day after return was received, awesome customer service!! The third running shop I had visited that day. The first to actually listen and get me closer to the shoe I needed - Saucony men's guide iso 2 for what its worth. Great gait analysis without being too technical, (the manager can waffle apparently), and picked up the right issues in my dreadful running form. But the real deal closer was probably one of the best pieces of customer service I've ever witnessed. Another customer came in with their child who has sight issues and had just come from a hospital appointment. The child knocked over a display - the parent was mortified. The response of the gentleman serving me was spot on - Offer the child a hot chocolate, give out the wifi password. get everyone relaxed. Make sure everyone is settled and carry on. For that moment of kindness at the very least you deserve my custom.

The shop has a cafe and this makes the wait less lengthy, the shop is very busy at lunch time and the wait can be longer - 30min or so, avoid this time for sure !
