I liked the shoes but could not adjust with my ankle issues. I returned the shoes after 60 days, within their 100 day trial period. The shoes were well constructed and I had no issues with the product. The staff was amazing and my return was without question. 5 stars for their staff and return policy!!

Update: Best shoes I ever bought, my third pair now and the only one shoes I wear for the last two years everywhere around the world and at home. Love it! I went there many times before making the decision to buy one of their vegan shoes. Every time I was well looked after, mainly by Agnieszka and Camil. The shop is great to try the shoes however it would be nice I think to have a sort of different type or ground to see how the shoes feel on different ground, like in trek shops. I just bought the shoe yesterday so I will update on my experience another time. But I was happy with the service.

The Polish man who was working there yesterday was super friendly and helpful. I have been in here last week and experienced rudeness from a Polish woman who I could hear whispering about me to another member of staff - not very quietly! I actually had to walk out. But the Polish guy yesterday was really helpful and friendly, so I bought a pair of shoes from him.

Bought a pair of shoes today from helpful, friendly and informative staff. I’ll update in six months but so far these shoes are so comfortable. My toes are as happy as they are when I’m not wearing any shoes. Edit after 3 months - I wear these shoes every day. No recurrence of past planter fasciitis which I had been slightly worried about because of the shoe design - my feet LOVE being in them. Comfy as anything I’ve ever worn on my feet and still looking fine, no obvious wear and tear visible over what you might expect after 3 months daily use. Update September after another 2 months (new photo): still wearing them almost daily. My husband bought a pair too now. Mine got soaked a few times and became a tad aromatic in a not great way so I washed them and filled them with bicarbonate of soda which I shook out when they dried. You’ll be glad to hear this worked. Still enjoying the comfort and look of these.

A fantastic experience, the shop staff were not only extremely helpful but they genuinely care and believe in their product. I had a fault with one of my shoes and brought them back to the shop and the guy that runs the shop didn’t hesitate in replacing the shoes as well as giving me a tour of the studio. I used the foot weight distribution tool and we discussed my standing position and some work I should do to help support my back. A very happy customer which has made me an even bigger advocate for barefoot! You guys rock!

Most comfortable shoes period, been great for this However... I own a pair of all weathers (second pair) Toes gone through the front (plenty of room in the toes). This pair isn't even half a year old, I only wear these to walk around in and Train in (weight train) so not even any high impact wear and tear on the shoe. Overall a lovely shopping experience 😃 Having listened to Dr Rangan Chatterjees podcast, when we stumbled across the store, we decided to have a look first hand at the recommended brand. The staff were all welcoming, with Jim (I believe) running through the styles, materials and the ethos of the shoes. I chose a vegan trail style and was asked to walk on the treadmill to confirm size and comfort. Barefoot shoes are a new experience for me so I was warned there would be a strengthening period needed, ideally walking before running 😂 Ultimately we ended buying a his and hers pair of shoes (Primus Trail and Tracker) and have been living in them since!!

James and Frank were helping me today as a first-time vivo barefoot customer. I visited today after an appointment with my podiatrist who recommended that I buy wide-toe'd shoes to help with my hideous and painful bunion. He recommended birkenstocks but I think they're ugly so I came to this shop instead. James and Frank were really helpful, friendly, and provided specific advice. I was there for 1hr trying on lots of shoes as I wanted to make the right decision. They never once rushed me or pressured me towards one shoe over another, just gave balanced objective advice on style and sizes and answered all of my questions. I saw other customers come and go who were equally positive about their shopping experience. Thanks a lot J & F!

I've been a fan of the Vivobarefoot brand and mission for years now. Being from a small town and visiting London for the first time, I couldn't have been more pleased to see the Vivo sign as I explored the streets of London. My partner and I were greeted by Dale and I was quick to tell him I was excited to leave wearing a pair of Vivo's. Dale's belief and passion in their product had us talking wellness in a way that stemmed "from the ground-up". He shared with us his knowledge and personal experience with the product as we stood on the scale that read how we distributed weight through our feet, then proceeded to try on a few pairs. Nice shop with variety of different models and friendly staff. But be careful with choosing the right model for you. I didn’t pick the right ones for me and then these shoes gave me the hard time. I bought a black leather model despite the fact that the right shoe was hurting my big toe a little. Salesman told me it will be fine. For two weeks it was horrible walking in them and i had blisters. After it stopped and these are the best shoes i had. But suddenly this summer (after 1year) the shoes started to hurt my feet again! I feel confused. I still believe that barefoot shoes are the best for your health, but next time I would buy a different model. Not the leather ones. My boyfriend bought a blue fabric model and never had any problems with them( and he is wearing them all the time).

As a family we have bought 11 pares of Vivo so far. The information that they provide at the store and the customer service is superb. Highly recommend doing the treadmill and going through the process. Personally, I like off road options. The leather shoes are amazing as well. Our kids wear them as well. Completely different philosophy on shoes.

Great customer service! Very helpful staff, especially Jakub, went above and beyond to help me find the right product and size for my hiking trips and gave me some useful tips. Ended up with Primus Trail SG and so far they seem perfect! Very lightweight and comfortable shoe that gives you solid grip on trail and is comfortable on rocky terrain. I went for a hiking trip and I have decided to purchase my first barefoot shoes. Oh god, I couldn´t do better! I was absolutely amazed how great they fit on feet and are very comforable to wear on any kind of surface. They are light and easy to use, will take some time to your feet to shape the right position but honestly giving your feet enough room is definitely woth it and you will not regret to invest in well made high quality shoes. These are top of the range shoes for yogis! So much room to spread your feet, a world away from the cramped footwear of all other brands - foot health is vital we only get one pair for a lifetime. Went to this shop last night with a friend so he could buy a second pair and I was so impressed by how inviting and friendly the staff are! After browsing for a short while I was engaged by an assistant who was not pushing a sale but instead opening a conversation about the ways we walk and how footwear can be both great for you and sometimes not so much (we've all walked around all day in shoes that kill us.) I didn't feel so much like I was in a shop, it felt more like a social gathering, everyone in this little, busy shop was chatting and engaging with one another which generated a positive, energetic and enlightening experience. Safe to say I bought a pair and a coffee table book and left feeling satisfied! If you're ever in the area and just want to experience something different I recommend popping in, keep an open mind and you won't be disappointed! I was having issues with stability running shoes due to the high cushion. I decided to run more barefoot so I went to this store and had a super great experience. Due to covid-19 everyone had masks on and felt safe. The staff member Marco was really helpful, he examined my feet and gave me various shoe models to try. He gave me excellent advise on how to adjust to the shoes and even figured out my correct shoe size with a few tests. Super knowledgeable staff members. I recommend going into the store to get your feet checked as I thought I was 9.5 to 10 but ended going with size 11 and felt comfortable. Overall happy with the service and look foreword to doing some runs once I adjust to the vivo lite recycled.

I've bought my third pair of shoes, I bought my 1st 2, 12 years ago; I have no idea what Wotjek (Other reviewer); was doing with his shoes, but mine have given up the ghost after 12 solid years. This is a review for Peter Ford for the amazing work he does in the training and rehabilitation zone at the Vivobarefoot shop. I bought my first pair of Vivos specifically to help with lower back and feet issues so decided to have an intro gait analysis and training session with Peter. I lucked out. Peter is full of helpful tips and techniques for returning to natural, flexible and strong ways of standing and moving, and a pretty mean bodyworker besides (in the best possible way). Treatments with him were some of the most effective I've ever had to loosen off trigger points throughout the back and legs. Their shoes are pretty good too.

utmost consultation before buying my shoes. The staff members explained everything from scratch and have excellent knowledge of what they sell and of feet. you cannot get that with online shopping. We need more proper shoeshops like these, Imagine if the only food available to eat was mcdonalds and cereals. The main shoe industry is is cereals & narrow toebox shoes like high heels are stale cheeseburgers. Please everyone learn more about your feet and start adopt the barefoot style and hopefully we can start to eradicate mcdonalds shoes from the market.

I think I got the benefit of being a customer during lockdown, as I was the only person in the store, however the communication from all staff in the shop was great and social distancing was enacted where it was appropriate. Super comfortable shoes and excellent customer service. I was looking for really wide and comfortable shoes for many years. Visited the shop on my friend's recommendation a couple days ago. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Wide range of shoes, reasonalbe price and they even had my size. The shop was pretty busy but the staff was still attentive. Super friendly staff and excellent shoes, but the store is always out of stock. I went there three times and they were always short of something I needed (first shoes, then insoles, and then double sided tape). Ended up buying everything online. After a few months of expertise there's one flaw worth mentioning: the insoles don't stay in place - ask for double sided tapes when you buy them.

After about a minute or two was engaged by a member of staff, who really took the time to ensure my fit in the shoes was perfect, with numerous trips to get a different sizes, and encouraging me to spend time to experience the shoes in the shop. I work not too far from covent garden, so decided I would chance whether opening times online were correct since it seems really hit or miss with a lot of stores these days after lockdown easing but yes it was open. I have always enjoyed their products and the staff were very friendly and helpful there. So if you are in the market for some new barefoot shoes and prefer to go in store, their Covent garden store is most definitely still open for business.

I love the brand and the shoes, however.... I cannot tell you how many times I have called the shop and not once has my call been answered. Seriously over the years I've called to ask about stock or sales and it has NEVER been answered. I am a size 8 which they often don't have, hence my trying to call. When I go to the shop and ask to try a few styles on it's annoying to find I might only be able to try 1 pair on as a result. I am then ironically often told to call and ask or come back in a couple of days 'as they are getting a delivery'. On this note, I have visited the store on different days of the week over the years and have always seemingly missed out, with a delivery just a couple of days away. Might I suggest stocking more size 8's? Seems they would get the sales if they had more.... As for the staff personally I've had mixed experiences. For a stand alone store representing a fantastic niche brand I feel the staff need to be very knowledgable about the brand and pretty clued up about the whole barefoot thing. Sometimes the staff are, sometimes they really aren't. Recently I asked a shop assistant if they still do discount on a new pair of shoes if you trade in an old pair and she didn't seem to have heard of the policy, and so I do not know for certain if they still do it. I tried to call the shop the next day and find out and guess what? 3 different calls, different points of the day, never answered. As a personal trainer using their shoes all the time and having owned maybe 9 pairs over the years it is a shame that only twice I have ended up buying from the shop. I recommend my clients their shoes all the time, and tell them its best to shop on their website. I know this is sounding very negative compared to many recent 5 star reviews so I wanted to say the shop is still well worth a visit if you're interested in Vivo. It is lovely and I love the shoes. I just hope you don't have an overly popular shoe size and that you get chatting to the right assistant.

I would like to go try some shoes at this store, as I think they would be perfect for my gait issue. But no one answered the phone, so I can't confirm this store is open or still in business. Judging from these comments, you need to hire a nice senior citizen, who retired from the shoe business and needs a part-time job, to give your upscale clientele some loving attention. The market for these shoes is there. But you can't staff a new product with hipsters alone. Anyway, get back with me and let me know when I should come in, preferably on a weekend. I'll be there.

Hi! My practicioner had recommended me to Barefoot Shoes,Neal Street. I entered the shop very apprehensive. That didn't last for too long. I met a young lady, Tania and Kamil, manager of the shop.Both were very patient with me and answered all my questions. I felt very good afterwards. Shoes take a bit of getting used to. My advice make sure you have a cork insole in either one. Just a small extra charge.

Excellent shop, friendly staff, and they have running coaches around helping with posture and stride and such. With regards to the products, I've got their Primus FG and love them. I'd say I'm still getting used to walking in them (especially if I'm rushing), in that they require a certain stride if you don't want to hurt your heels. But I've been running quite happily in them, and going on the occasional hike as well, and they're very comfortable, and light. Not waterproof though, so, like with everything, know what you're buying them for.

Great shop. I was concerned about visiting after reading recent feedback but found the customer service to be very good. Staff were very helpful when required and weren't watching over like a hawk which I like. I loved the look and feel of the primus lux and would certainly have walked out with some if it wasn't for the colour, the blue is too restrictive and the natural (beige) looks to me like cream or white shoes that are past their best. If they came in white or grey then I'd have certainly walked out with some.

I really like their shoes for casual wear, though I haven't yet purchased any of their running shoes as my old barefoot shoes are still good. The wide toe boxes and flat sole are the next best thing to actually walking barefoot, which frankly, I wouldn't fancy in London. The staff here are super enthusiastic (so much so that I'd warn against it if shopping with a hangover!) and they really know their stuff. I've also paid to do one of their training clinics to check my barefoot running technique and I got a lot out of the session. Would highly recommend if you're thinking of going barefoot/minimal.

Love these running, gym, and work shoes. Was heading for hip replacement with x-ray confirmation and orthopedic surgeon consult. Constant hip pain and having to take pain killers to sleep with pain. Vanished now for last three years through barefoot running and use of these shoes at work and running or gym and leisure. Have the hiking boots. Always using barefoot technique with bent knees and upright balance. Started 5 minutes a week in runs and very gradual transistion. Love the shoes but can't get in New Zealand. Need UK45 Lisbon for wedding in London in six weeks but sold out!!!! Heartbroken, they look perfect for formal wear. Want to try the Bannister too as could use at work and leisure but sold out!!!

Promising shoes. Reluctant staff and disappointing air of elitism. Once I finally managed to divert somebody's attention from the spirited staff socialising that was going on by the counter, I was granted a several minute lecture by a male attendant / manager on how my 3 years of practice training in zero-drop Altras is worthless in terms of being any reasonable introduction to barefoot style running at all, and that I would probably die or my feet would super-implode if I dare tried to run in the miraculous foot-to-the-floor phenomena that are Vivobarefoot running shoes. Oh and the fact that I "hadn't even" had my running form professionally GAIT analysed before was apparently another notch against my qualification.. Here's a hint Vivobarefoot "Experience" team UK: you can develop a strong and authentic barefoot running customer following without stonewalling people who are not quite fully seasoned webbed-footed primal-eating trail-running cavemen, but who still have the genuine interest, ability and drive to try and progress themselves towards the same goal - AT THEIR OWN PACE. Get over yourselves and try and do your (probably genuinely good and innovative) shoes and the barefoot running 'world' as a whole a service instead.
