We are regular visitors to pets corner because of their friendly and welcoming staff. Whom are very knowledgeable in all areas of pet care. They have helped us in the care of our old Springer spaniel whom we said goodbye to after 16 happy years and now beginning again with our new puppy Teddy a cavalier. We go to Pets Corner Melbicks almost every Saturday with our border collie pup, Mabel. Recently we just got her a block of wood yet were quite sceptical, seeing as she is a puppy. The staff were extremely helpful with choosing the right one! Also, they always welcome the pets with open arms and always go out of their way to help. We've been coming here for 18 weeks and I have no problems to say about the shop, the staff or the environment. Definitely worth going!

She let me know everything that i needed and gave me some great advice. I popped to Melbicks today shopping for an indoor plant pot. On the way to the checkout I browsed around pets corner. Kim, a very friendly informative assistant asked if I needed any assistance. She was so helpful and her knowledge about dogs was second to none. She was so attentive I went home to return with my dog, where she was so patient in fitting him a new harness whilst also demonstrating different ways to attach a training lead. We are fairly new puppy owners, and I have to say owning a puppy is like trying to put a puzzle together without a picture for reference. When we have needed guidance, the staff have always been fantastic. Their customer service is top notch, and we really appreciate their knowledge and advice. The staff make the experience for us, they are always so friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell they all genuinely love animals and its not just job for them. My dog literally gets so excited to go in as he loves all the staff, everyone fusses him and its definitely his favourite place! We literally go every Saturday if we can just so he can see them and pick up a few treats. Also the advice given on dog food was so helpful! Its the only place I get my dog food now! Visited the Garden Centre to purchase some Christmas lights and stumbled across Pets Corner. Wow - what a little gem of a place this is. I received a really friendly greeting and then was assisted by Dev who was really knowledgeable and really helpful and friendly. I got a lot of advice and came away feeling really positive. Can't say enough about this store, we have a dog with a lot of problems and Dev talked us through all our options, looking up anything that we needed and told us that we could take the food back if he didn't like it. 2 weeks later after trying a few times he wouldn't eat it so took the food back. Dev remembered us and was lovely about us taking the food back. Very happy 😊. Also they do puppy socialization classes so ideal if you want to take your puppy to get used to being in a shop as well, wished we could have done that when my little man was younger. Thanks to Dev and the rest of the staff as they are all very helpful.

After being told by the vet that i had a dog with stomach problems and after several months of trying and failing to find a food that helped and was liked by my dog i was advised to go to melbicks. Tbh i was dubious at first but WOW what a shock i had. The advice i received was very well educated and soo helpful and unlike many other places including the vets was not money orientated as to what food i was advised to try. I can not praise them enough as now my dog is hopefully on the long road to recovery with a much healthier food that she enjoys to eat and its all thanks to the pets corner staff!

Take our puppy Saint Bernard to puppy club this is very good for him even tho he just sits there but it is a very good way of introducing puppy to each other and the staff are very good and knowledgable. After speaking to them in store I have changed the food I give to all my three saints to a better quality of food if I hadn’t spoken to them I would never of found the food I now use my dogs love it I I know it’s full of all the goodness they need. I would recommend this store to all dog owners.

Pets Corner is a superb pet shop with knowledgeable and friendly staff, who are helpful and able to share their expertise with new pet owners along with a wide range of good quality products at reasonable prices. They offer a free puppy class each Saturday,which my son and I have been attending for the last few weeks. Since attending the group, we have gained a lot of knowledge on feeding, diet grooming and socialisation for our puppy. It has been great to try out new products and with an extra 10% off products after the class it is fantastic value for money.

I have been using Pets Corner since they opened at Melbick. They have a very good range of products. The staff have always been extremely friendly, very helpful, and very knowledgeable about both products and animals. It has been my first port of call whenever I was buying supplies for my various pets. However, I have recently acquired a puppy, and decided to take him to the puppy event on 14/09/2019. It was a big mistake. The member of staff who was in charge, someone that I had not met before, was brusque verging on rude. The event was a total shambles with far too many dogs in too small a space. Planning was, as far as I could see, non-existent. The event was advertised as being from 9:30 to 10:30, yet by 10:10 nothing had happened apart from several dogs showing signs of stress, and the level of barking increasing to the point that customers of the garden centre must have been getting very irritated. I decided to leave as my puppy, who had been happy when we arrived, was rapidly becoming overwhelmed by the shambolic experience. I was not the only person to leave. A member of Melbeck staff chatted to me on my way out, and both my puppy and I got more from this 5 minute chat than from 40 minutes in Pets Corner. I had planned to spend money on various things, but walked away with nothing but a distressed puppy. I shall continue to visit this store, even though today's experience has been so negative. I have given 5* because as a pet store it is excellent, and all of the staff that I have met previously do not deserve less. However, were I to just give a mark for today's event it would not have been worth even 1*. I realise that this is a free event, but free should not mean that it was a waste of time. To be honest it wasn't worth the price of the petrol that I used. I had heard good things about, which is why I went, but I would not go again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Visited Melbicks on the 22/5/2015 I hadn't been there since the change over to Wyevale Garden Centre. We ended up been there for several hours after having a look round and having numerous conversations with people stopping to stroke Bailey (the dog), she always attracts attention. We particularly loved the pets corner where the dog ended up being spoilt rotten. There was lots of choice, good prices and a very pleasant member of staff who was very helpful. So we will definitely be using here again for our pet supplies as its more local to us.

Hi Everyone, if you have a pet and you think they are worth it you need to visit pets corner at Melbricks. The team, Paul Dev and Cathy are lovely people, clearly knowledgeble and they care about the owners pocket as well as the pets health and well being. I was really worried they would hard sell but you can be assured that couldn't be further from the truths. Is the food cheap, not necessarily but is it platinum ....absolutely. None did the hard sell but all three know their product and give good balanced advice. They have a lot of knowledge. I was concerned about dry food products having lost 2 dogs to cancer but they recommended 2 products

I got in touch with Dev through a friend my dog patch was really poorly, I had taken her to the vets she had blood tests, stool sample done, they gave her different medication's.In the end they told me to see a specialist, I couldn't afford that so I spoke to Dev he said to take her off all the treats I was giving her because they no good for her, try her on chicken and rice for three days and keep her on the food the vet gave her and to keep a record of what she was eating and what her stools were like, I also took photos of her stools so he could see them. I could see the difference in patch just by taking all the treats off her that I was giving her, she wasn't just lying on the sofa all day. I went to see Dev a few days later he looked at the pad that I had written in and then he said it's the chicken that was making her bad. Dev said to try her on tribal dried food and also give her two psyllium husks on her food as it should make her stools firmer She was doing really well on it until we went on holiday and her stools went runny again When we came back off holiday we went and seen Dev again and he said to go and see another vet and get a second opinion which I did the following day the vet put her on steroids gave her a HA food, since then she has had biopsies done and I was told she has IBD the vet said she can go back on tribal. We went to see Dev yesterday and brought some tribal and he sorted some treats for her that had the same ingredients that is in tribal I don't know what would have happened to patch if it wasn't for Dev we are really grateful to him for what he has done for her she is doing really well now and we will be going to see Dev when we need more food. Big thank you Dev from Ges and Clive and lots of licks patch
