L. C.Great place to shop. Very popular even on a weekday. Some goods although well made are not particularly a bargain.
H.Costco is an excellent vendor, high standards of merchandising and hygiene coupled with a friendly team.
You must be a member to enter Costco but the membership fee is well worth it.
The cafe is an amazing service for the members, really appreciated.
K.The cost if petrol here is 13p per litre less than any petrol station lically to me, what more do I need to say.
Unfortunately it's only available for members, but, as a member I am extremely happy to add it to the long list of savings I make every visit.
J. L.Good. But is it cheaper than elsewhere? After adding yearly membership fee I’m not sure. For sure if you have a huge amount of storage space you can bulk buy. But usually you end up buying more than you need and then having to eat it before it goes out of date.
Prices are usually shown pre-vat with big text and small the vat price much smaller below. So everything ‘feels’ cheap. But 9/10 times you end up spending a lot and still needing to go to Tesco or elsewhere to get stuff you can’t find there.
Worth it if you want to buy big for a party and some occasional items. But you couldn’t do all your shopping there and if you did.. You’d be very unhealthy.. which unfortunately a significant number of those walking around Costco look.
N. R.Great store and prices, spent a fortune. Staff were friendly and helpful. Be mindful it gets busy at the end of the month, and staff were very good at controlling numbers.

K.Great store with selected stock and items you can buy anywhere else, The only thing that lets it down for me is the quality of fresh veg and fruit sold in the coldroom there, if not gone off or mouldy on the shelf in store it will be before you get home. No sold by or expiry day on most fruits there.

A. T.What I appreciate the most about Costco Bristol is the professionilism of the staff. Whatever they are doing they will drop and immediately assist me. When I contact the store the phone is usually answered within 3 rings, as an example I phoned this morning and spoke to Justina, the call was answered immediately. Costco should be used as an example to the utility companies as a byword for customer care. The lack of variety seen lately within the store is probably more to do with the global issues.On the whole Costco is a very good example of well motivated staff which is constant whichever manager is in place.
P. O.Great members only store. Full of fresh produce, homeware irks and clothing. They also have a great value cafe area as well. Lots of parking and a petrol station (members only)..
D. B.I do really like costco. The staff are lovely, membership is reasonable (the criteria not so much). Some things are a bit overpriced if I'm honest. Clothing and electrical items especially. But for food, drinks and home are ideal. They do need re-examine their pricing on some items but it's a diamond in the rough.
A. M.Love a Costco trip. We go monthly for food, fresh and frozen, books, clothes and other house essentials. It's never a cheap trip but you get what you pay for mostly. Any issues and customer service are always amazingly helpful. My only complaint is the lines for the cafe!

H.Costco as a trade store is becoming dated , I understand the membership requirement , however pricing is no longer as competitive as it once was , with lidl and aldi beating many prices to the general public , I feel they should rethink the trade only approach and allow public general membership.
m. m.Costco is a membership wholesalers. Plants, clothes, fruit and veg.... The list goes on and changes with the seasons. Bargains to be had.
It has plenty of parking. You can get tyres there too and windscreen wiper blades, good prices. Disabled parking near entrance. Toilets are located at the far end of the store, near the staff room. There is also a disabled toilet with baby change facilities. The cafe is value for money stop. Hot food and drinks and cold drinks and desserts. A fuel station is out in the carpark. No cash is taken here, only debit cards. It has assistants there, just incase of difficulty using the machines or scanning membership card and any emergency. All staff are friendly and helpful. I would like them to stop giving out plastic lids and straws with the drinks.

M. A.I like the spaces for the cars to park in to begin with. If you are someone who shops in bulk and considers cost with quality, look no further but COSTCO. Finally I can't leave without a bite of their nice hot dog and affordable fuel for my car.
M. V.Love this place it's so big with so many different products to see. From house goods to food clothing and many more, it even has a tyre service centre on site as well as a fuel station. Only draw back you need to be a member which can be done instantly on site so no waiting a day or two you can shop there and then just takes a few minutes with a photo all while you're there.
S. T.Although there were no queues, it remains busy inside but still manageable. People kept their distance and once we arrived at the till points, the huge queues were swiftly dealt with. Staff are always courteous and helpful.
Most items are available at very reasonable prices, making the shopping experience stress free.

There must have been some kind of accident outside on the ring road which caused a massive backlog of cars trying to exit the car park. It took almost 40mins to get out! Members of staff, in high vis jackets, directing the cars would have made things much easier.

Membership fees are reasonable and with the savings on offer you more than get your money's worth over a year.
Hot and cold food is also available to buy from their restaurant, where you will receive great portions at low prices!
M. H.Went to the Bristol warehouse for some Heavy Duty Storage Shelving, only 1 left was on display. I asked if someone could get it down from the racking and take it apart so that I could fit it into my car. It was no trouble, and I had 3 members of staff helping in no time (sorry, only name I got was Lewis) Excellent customer service! Great product too.

A.Of you like meat or fruit this is the place to be as its a hole sailer most of the products are the same or cheaper as your general supermarkets but were cosco sets itself apart is the quality of meat and fruit the meat is well served and of a fantastic quality. The fruits are sweet and fresh. 10 out of 10 I cant fult the place.

D. N.In these difficult times Costco have taken a very sensible approach and are well organized in letting you into the warehouse. The staff are very helpful and are ready. One slight criticism is the lack of till staff but that may be down to staffing levels. Recommend this place.

R. V.If you are not a member, it is worth becoming one. There is practically everything here. If you have a problem with a product you have purchased here the no quibble guarantee is what I was impressed with. You can also fill up with fuel on your way out with the cheapest fuel around.
C. D.Good for fuel and quick food after shopping. Prices whilst good on bulk items are not that great on large value goods so worth shopping around. Also found that the tyre prices aren’t the best on the market. Plus for me is there are samples out for you to try.
b. k.Covid experience: staff are friendly but enforcing, they make sure that queuing at the tills are spaced and that a well spaced queue at the entrance to the store is maintained and as you enter they provide you with anti-bac'd trollies. The biggest issue is the customers, though like most other stores, there are still though who don't even try to maintain social distancing. On the better side, there isn't a one way system before the tills so if you remember you've missed something on your list, no stress, you can still navigate yourself back to the item. They also have the necessary pvc barriers up to protect both staff and customers.
Personal experience: prices tend to be lower than most stores per quantity, though it is originally a bulk buy store. But you can definitely save a membership worth of money and more from just weekly shops. The staff are friendly, they sell more than just food + clothing, electronics, to furniture and leisure equipment, even beauty products. They also have a small fast food cafe after the tills.
Overall: Great store, wide and a well stocked selection of products, enforced social distancing but some manic customers. Outside of Covid though its pleasant (apart from the times that the roof leaks and blocks entires isles off or spoils products.)

D. M.I love Costco - this place is great for stocking up the freezer and cupboards every couple of months. The meat is great quality and they stock a nice wide range of groceries (although the veggies come in huge volumes that are not particularly useful for an average shopper).
Location wise, it’s perfect - easy access from the motorway or from the centre of Bristol.
This branch also had a petrol station, which is generally 1p a litre cheaper than the supermarkets. Not quite cheap enough to go out of my way for, but as it’s on my route to and from work it’s pretty great for filling up (note that you have to be a member to use the petrol station).
d. d.Such a good place to shop for most things but careful you have checked prices before going, can be more expensive and paying membership not that cheap.
M. J.The prices are normal considering you pay a membership Fee in advance. You can find some bargains here and there. I think the quality of the merchandise is better than many other places, also if you buy in bulk then this place will come handy to you. One of the good things is the fuel which is cheap compared to the price and quality of the Supermarket's.

If you want to go there for a shopping, I recommend the Beef Hot Dog sandwich at food court. It comes with a refill coke for just £1.50!!
P. L.It is a great place to buy almost anything in bulk. It is always busy especially the food court. This Costco also have facility to buy and get tyres fitted. Also has its own petrol station for members which is cheaper than any other station. Large parking spaces.

G. W.Costco is great. Unlike other trade stores, not everything is sold in bulk. The quality is great and the customer service is flawless. Their own brand Kirkland Signature is amazing. Unlike other own brands which are often low quality, Costco's own brand (Kirkland Signature), is supplied by leading suppliers in that particular area and at an amazing price. This one also sells fuel which is cheaper than the supermarkets.

S. P.Love Costco - always find something to take home. Great variety of goods on sale from food to rugs to tvs to petrol. Love that I can find some American brands as well. If you go on the weekend it is rammed but you can always get some free samples of food. The pizza at the food court area is delicious - a huge slice of pepperoni for less than 2 pounds.

They offer a comprehensive range of products in big and small packages for a knockdown price. When something goes on offer, it trumps supermarket prices for that period, although this is to be expected from a wholesaler.
The cafeteria offers refillable drinks cups for under £1 and the food is well presented, tastes delicious and is an excellent value.
In short, it's always a pleasure to come to Costco.

I buy a big punnet if almost 2kg of strawberries for £4.99 and they have some really great prices on cereal for eg 1kg box crunchy nut £5 and 2 x 1 kg box Frosties £3.99!
A great experience but beware of watching what you buy as racks up at the end.
I bought Nina Ricce glasses occupational lenses for £199 all in for double script lens plus frames but they do have cheaper frames if it’s glasses you’re after. Lots of electrical and amazing garden stuff too.

My partner and I went for our opticians appointments at Costco for the first time, and after 17 years of glasses wearing this was by far the best eye exam I've had. The optician was extremely friendly, he took plenty of time to explain what he was doing and spent time getting to know both of us. I would highly recommend Costco for your sight tests!
