Reviews of Flying Saucers

Visited for a hen party, our host, Hannah (I think) was very tentative and patient with us all. Gave us good clear and helpful instructions to get the best out of our designs. Checked in on us from time to time and sorted payment quickly for us to dash off to our next event. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.. can't wait to see the pieces all fired and completed. Thank you for a great visit.

Super place. I took 3 boys and they were totally engaged with the painting. I was too. Tricky to park. Website said groups of 5 and under didn't need to book, but we waited about 20mins for a table and were lucky to get one (it was Feb half term). I'd recommend booking. We are looking forward to collecting our mothers day creations. I will definitely go again, and definitely recommend it.

Great fun for a group with an age range from 4 to 43. There is a wide range of items to paint, plus snacks and drinks to keep you going. Have been before and will no doubt go again.

I come here at least once a year and it's always a delight. Pottery painting is a great stress reliever and an easy way to make someone a heartfelt Christmas present. The staff are always friendly and helpful too.

I am so glad this place is back open again after lockdown! They have great measures in place to make us all feel comfortable and not restricted. The pottery painting is brilliant, so much choice, great supplies and the 1-2-1 help is really useful! Me and my friends (all in our 20s) had the lushest time as part of my bday weekend. It was relaxing, fun and so fulfilling!

I've had lovely fun at Flying Saucers, on my first visit I painted a plate and a set of salt & pepper shakers, while my nephew had his footprints done for a few items 😉
On my second visit I painted 2 smaller plates to start a hearty plate collection! While my mom painted a tea pot and my nieces painted a figurine each.
The finished items look great - we're all very happy with them! It's a lovely way to spend some time being creative, if it was less expensive I'd go more often!
They also serve soft drinks and a great choice of hot drinks, I can recommend the hot chocolate!
On my next visit I think I'm going to do a big platter, or a tea pot, or maybe a mug... nah I think it'll be a jug, or vase, ahhh... a chip 'n dip bowl! *note to self: ask for vouchers for birthday/Christmas*

Great place :) with lovely staff and great choice of color and brushes and pottery to choose from :) I went with my friend (both in 20s) and have to say I loved how relaxing it was x) It was great that they brought you drinks to the table as well :) I will maybe advice if we can separate areas for some area for children and some for more adults could help the atmosphere but overall it was great x) It will be also better if we have masking tape or sellotape to stick the object (bird shape etc) as well :)

Great fun, very friendly and therapeutic for all ages.

Haven't been into the shop for a normal painting session, but I got the 'take home' kit. You get a lot of pottery to choose from and lots of paints, and the owner is great to talk things through with. She discounted our paint cost when we didn't need as much as we could have got. Times to go there are a bit awkward (1-3pm Saturday) is tough to work around, but definitely worthwhile.

Good fun for all ages.

Such a chilled out and fun activity, great on a rainy day or when you want to let your creativity free. It's £5 per person and then you pay for whatever item you chose to paint. Really reasonable costs, we were in there for 3 hours painting our items! Can buy tea and coffee and cakes while you paint too! And then you head back a week later to pick up your freshly glazed item! Loved it. Will definitely be back to paint more items!

Great pottery painting place, lots of space to paint and you don't feel crammed in. The painting itself is quite expensive and they took a long time to make the drinks so order early if you want a coffee whilst you paint. There are plenty of pay and display car parks nearby.

My son and I had a lovely afternoon plate painting. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and approachable staff that get the balance absolutely spot on between supporting their customers and allowing us to get on with it. It isn't cheap, but reasonable. Recommended!
Looking forward to picking our glazed plate up next week!

Friendly staff, good activity to do on rainy days. Would be nice if they maybe offered one free drink with the price. Some staff didn’t explain the painting procedure fully when I have been with a newcomer on different occasions.

Really nice to be able to sit in a space where you can casually paint some decorative pieces, even order beverages with polite and pleasant staff team who are friendly and helpful.

Such a good day. It is a little expensive but at the same time can you put a price on fun? Loved it!

This is a child friendly pottery painting shop and cafe. You pay per person painting and for each item you want to paint. When you have painted your pottery they put it in the kiln for you to fire it, you collect when it's ready a week later. The prices are quite reasonable and there is a wide choice of things to paint. They have a good selection of hot drinks while you are painting. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

My daughter loved painting her flower pot. She would love to do more and take her siblings but it's a tad to expensive to go to often. If it was cheaper I would be here every week with my kids during the winter months especially.

Perfect place to visit when it's chucking it down with rain and/or you want to make a special gift for someone's Birthday or Christmas.
Lots of fun and it doesn't really matter how badly you paint!

Yes this was a great team building experience. Would have liked alittle more information as it was a new experience for all .

Great rainy day activity. Bit on the pricey side. NCP car park in walking distance. Also close to the Bristol museum if you would like to make more of a day of it.

Children had fun painting different objects and the staff were very helpful and kind
J. D.
Better pottery selection than kiln and probably double the size. Only criticism in comparison is they need the special white speckled paint! :)
