Me and my girls just popped in for a browse. Pete was so friendly and knowledgeable on all the reptiles he keeps and had plenty of time to talk to us. We ended up buying a reticulated python and a bearded dragon both with full set ups. The price was reasonable and the service was amazing. Our reptiles and their enclosures were ready to be collected less than a week later. We were offered for the Vivariums to be built for us for no extra charge but we opted to build them ourselves as I didn’t think we would for them in our car built. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and Pete was and is still always happy to answer any questions. We also did the tour of the venomous snakes and alligators and crocodiles. Again the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time to explore. We will be returning soon do do a swim with the crocodiles. I highly recommend this reptile centre if you are thinking of becoming an owner of any reptile as you will be given all the knowledge you need to ensure they setting in well in their new home. Both of ours are thriving.

This was such an amazing experience being able to see the different types of snakes learning more about how peaceful and beautifully different they are. The team were all very friendly and informative. Being able to hold a alligator was amazing, she just wanted to cuddle in and get comfortable. Had a fantastic time last week. We did the venomous snake show for my daughter’s birthday. All of our party thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owner was incredible knowledgeable, and the animals were simply amazing. If you have an interest in snakes this is a must!

I took my two children aged 13 and 9 here for a guided tour. We were taken around by a lad called Oscar who was very informative, answered all our questions and was really friendly. After seeing the incredible collection of snakes and crocodiles we were then able to hold and have photos with one of the crocs which was a fantastic experience for us all! The owner Pete was very chatty, extremely knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend a visit and booking onto the guided tour, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent service and extremely knowledgable owner and staff. Complete beginners when visiting today with our 11 year old son, explaining at great length the care of different reptiles we were interested in. Nothing was too much. We came away with our new bearded dragon and am so pleased we didn’t go anywhere else. It’s an amazing service and I feel happy that the team are on hand to help us going forward. Brings a whole new world to light. I brought the swim with Crocs experience. The shop/ experience is very easy to get too. The outside of the shop looks daunting but the minute you step in your greeted by the owner Pete, and his staff, they are all so friendly and knowledgeable to say the least, we could of stayed all day just watching the and chatting about all the reptiles etc, The experience it's self was great not only did we get to hold them and see them swim, your able to take as many photos as you wish. Some very beautiful and fascinating snakes geckos etc to look at, it's opened our eyes and minds up to a whole other world, needless to say we have already booked to return next year.

Don't be fooled by the appearance, this place is amazing! We had the most incredible experience swimming with 3 crocodiles today. The crocodiles were relaxed during the interaction and all reptiles on site are all exceptionally well cared for. The staff, Maisie especially, were so welcoming, knowledgeable and great with my children! Would recommend in a heartbeat!

An amazing experience! Booking was easy with good communication. The tour was very good with lots of interesting facts supplied about the different animals but the swim was just another level. I just couldn't believe I was actually in the water and holding an animal that I've admired for so many years but never thought I'd get that close to. A very very special day that I'll never forget.

We popped into Reptile Zone just to have a look with future plans but we were so impressed with the centre and the staff that we ended up pre-ordering a young Bearded Dragon on the spot after handling the dragons & other reptiles. They arranged everything for us with a lovely full size vivarium and all the essentials to get us started. They also told us everything we needed to know before bringing our little beardie home. The staff really went the extra for us and we couldn't be happier with the new family addition. We'll definitely be using them again for our reptile supplies and can safely recommend them to anyone interested in bringing a little lizard friend home.

I just had my first experience with venomous snakes today, something I have been wanting to do.... For as long as I can remember! Brian was a great mentor, he was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable through every step! I would highly recommend the venomous snake course for anyone who is passionate about these animals and are serious and responsible about learning correct handling and husbandry skills!

We went on 28th May. Brought this excursion for my sister niece and me absolutely fantastic visit the staff were very informative sorry to the girl and young man with ponytail can't remember your names they were great the young girl took my sister and niece into the pool with the crocks who were tiger lily, tinkerbell and another one which was larger the young girl was friendly, funny, informative no matter what we asked she had the answer and told us things we didn't know about the crocks and snakes. The young man was great very informative let us handle other creatures like boa constricter, millipead, Bull frog and camilion he was very versed knew all about them we did get taken around the snakes upstairs again the young girl very informative. I can honestly say these guys are a great asset to the business talking to these guys they really do seem to love what they do, i would highly recommend to anyone go to crocs r us it's something different to do and it's worth it. I can't wait to go back with other members of my family.

Wow what a place and experience!! It's a lot bigger than what you think upon arriving. There is free street parking right outside and we were lucky to get a space but I don't know where else you could park. I had booked a swim with crocs experience for my partner and I. We were shown to the pool area by Chris, who stayed with us throughout our tour and experience. Chris is really knowledgeable and a really lovely guy, my partner could literally have talked to him all day. The crocs we swam with were clearly well looked after and cared for and I have to say Ali really loves her cuddles and I could easily of cuddled her all day in and out of the pool. NO TAPED MOUTHS! The whole experience was just wow. Don't even hesitate to book it, don't even question it, just book! Absolutely amazing!! After our swim we were offered a hot shower but we were OK as we knew we would be handling some reptiles after. I got changed in the shed. Be sure to bring your own towels and swimwear and flip flops. After our swim we had a tour of all the beautiful amazing reptiles the venue had to offer and were able to handle lots of different types, just amazing. Again Chris took us round and knew exactly what he was talking about. Baby chameleons were maybe my favourite to hold.... Aside from the crocs of course! We also met the owner and again could have talked to him for hours on end. We will most definitely be coming back, especially as they may have the business next door to expand!! Plus I just need more cuddles with Ali!! All I will say is you have to book this, do not miss this incredible unique experience!!

Had such a brilliant experience at the store - I had taken my girlfriend there to choose a bearded dragon for her birthday and due to the Vast knowledge of Pete and his staff - we ended up returning to swim with the Alligators ,Holding everything from Big snakes and meerkats to petting iguanas and learning about venomous snakes and even going home with a gorgeous Chameleon and setup all ready to go ! I purchased the Meerkat experience for my son, it was the highlight of his birthday. Geting to sit with and cuddle Timone and friends was an experience he isn't going to forget. We then got a tour of the venue and reptiles, my son was allowed to pick who he would like to hold and learnt general facts about them, we now have a list of all the new pets he would like 🤣 Will definitely be visiting again.

Wow what an amazing place! Super friendly and informative. Went to buy my son a Royal Python and whilst there he was able to hold snakes, an alligator and an iguana. Such a memorable experience. Thank you for the fantastic experience today for myself and daughters 7th birthday! The girls who led the swim and tour were very friendly and encouraging. Owner and the lovely girls were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. We swam with 3 alligators and were able to give them a cuddle, took home lovely pictures, had a venomous snake tour and had the opportunity to hold Frank the resident chameleon, a tortoise, and a variety of non vehnemous snakes! We also learnt a lot about the different reptiles and where they originate from. Highly recommended if you're a reptile lover especially! Thank you look forward to visiting again in future!

Got the swimming with crocs experience and absolutely loved it. Turned out to be 2 alligators in a pop up pool but was so cool! One was 2 years old, the other was 17. Both incredibly docile. All of the staff were very friendly, funny and knowledgeable too. Not been to a place in a long time where everyone loves their job. Got a tour of the other reptiles after and held loads at the end. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Amazing day at the reptile zone!! We went here for the swimming with a gator experience and it was brilliant! We were in the pool with the crocodiles and got a great picture each too! Thank you Pete and Chris for an amazing experience today. I am petrified of snakes and the team were very accommodating in assisting me with overcoming this. Chris was very professional and incredibly knowledgeable, also patient with my wife’s constant questions! There is parking available around the back on a retail park and there are toilets/hand washing facilities. What can I say, this was the best day ever. I have adored crocodiles since I was young and always wanted to see them, today I got to not only see them but cuddle and kiss them like a baby. Myself and my partner visited Reptile Zone after adopting two approx 15 year old Horsefield tortoises elsewhere. As first time tortoise owners, we wanted to do everything right. Pete is a great guy, with plenty of knowledge & as locals we feel lucky to have Reptile zone and it’s knowledgeable staff on our doorstep. I took my partner for a swim with crocs experience at the weekend followed by a tour of the venomous snake facility at Reptile Zone. Pete's knowledge and hospitality were unrivalled while we were there. I mentioned my partner was a Zoologist at the beginning of her career and he arranged for his partner who also works in the same field to come down for a chat which was truly above and beyond. Staff were happy to let us handle any animals in store (except venomous of course) and were very knowledgeable about their behaviour and husbandry. Phenomenal experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

We visited with our children a few days ago querying about bearded dragons. We went to Pets at Home previously but we were not convinced. Pete and Maisy were very friendly and next moment our kids had a bearded dragon and an alligator in their hands. Needless to say that we bought the bearded dragon with its enclosure, the animal is lovely and very tamed, a joy to have at home. Pete and his staff have a wealth of knowledge and he even gave us advise on hibernation for our tortoise. No question was too silly for them! Absolutely brilliant place with amazing staff. If you are looking to buy a reptile don't waste your time, Reptile Zone is the best.

We're brand new to reptile keeping and were extremely impressed with this shop and the v.knowledgeable owner Pete, who went out of his way to give us loads of invaluable advice on how to care for our gecko (which was spot on). The range of creatures on offer here is eye-watering, much more than it appears from outside. We've visited several reptile retailers recently in the Bristol/N.Somerset area and haven't been entirely satisfied ... until now. Reptile Zone has everything we need, and more, and we look forward to our next visit.

I when here wanting some advice on how to care for a tortoise and they answer all of my questions and gave some great advice as well . They also let me handle a Leopard Tortoise in which I decided to buy as I was a beginner they suggested that I got one of there kits which has everything you need for your new pet in it. On the day of picking up my Tortoise they had him already to go with his kit .Since I had brought the kit with the 4 foot by 4 foot tank they help me put in into my car . And made sure that I knew that if they was any problems or I had any question that I could always go up to the shop with my tortoise(as they do free health checks)or email them with the questions.Over all I had a great time at the shop and learned a lot about tortoise.

Lovely people who really care about their animals, really enjoyed our visit! Baby chameleons were fascinating and I especially loved Tyson the Iguana, who was a rescue. The owners apparently have an open door policy for abandoned pets. Recommend!

Well all I can is amazing I booked an alligator swim for my little girls 10th birthday there it was an amazing experience for all of us. My little girls got to hold all 3 of the alligators in the pool. Then after getting out we went on a tour of the place and got to see many other reptiles including some venomous snakes including kong the king cobra which blew my mind. All I will say if your thinking of going don't hesitate just book and go. All the staff were amazing very friendly and polite a huge thanks to all the staff and Pete what a great place thank you for a wonderful day we will see you soon.

Best day out in a very long time. The staff were all lovely people. The girl who showed us round (Kira) had only been there 5 days and had so much knowledge and made the tour round the various snakes, lizards and aligators a real treat. It was such a great day spending time with amazing animals and being able to hold them and was finished with a photo if us holding the little alligator. I would definitely go there again for another visit. My favourite bit was being able to hold the baby Merekat which is something I've always wanted to do. We just had the swimming with crocodile experience and it is one of the best things we have ever done. Pete and the team were so knowledgable and friendly and our tour guide went above and beyond to make it such an amazing day. Love this reptile store! Been here a few times previously - each and every visit has been nothing but a positive experience - the staff know their stuff and are really quite helpful and friendly. We had so much fun today!! I booked this as a birthday present for my husband and got so much more than we expected! The owner was so knowledgeable and answered so many questions, all of the team were lovely and really took the time to explain in detail about all the different animals they have. The alligators were so friendly and we learnt so much. Tigerlily was adorable! We even got to hold the adorable meerkat and the owner managed to talk me into holding a snake to get over my fear haha. From start to finish it was just amazing!! Best day of my LIFE!! Before we even started the experience we were able to hold the lovely Frank (Chameleon) a very large constrictor snake (can’t remember the name 😞) a baby snake (no name) then we started the tour. The outdoor pool was rather chilly, (granted it is September!) we all got changed and climbed in! (Group of 4) we first got to meet Tinkerbell and Tigerlilly two alligators around 10 & 5 years old! Got to have a cuddle with them both and learned so much knowledge from them! THEN! My partner asked to see the bigger Croc and proposed to me with the lovely Ali G who was so wonderfully behaved!! It was such an amazing experience. The staff we amazing! So lovely and friendly! Crazy knowledgable about all there animals from alligators, crocs, scorpions, reptiles and venomous snakes!! They really went above and beyond to help make this such a special day! Best day of my life and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this experience to everyone!

On holidays from Australia I found Reptile Zone on the net. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner Pete and Brian who does most of the venomous handling the other day and was invited back to interact with some of their venomous snakes yesterday. They know their snakes and most of the top Herpetologists and Toxinologists around the world that I know so it was quite an experience. I got to spend 7hrs there with the Cobras, Rattlesnakes, a very cranky Puff Adder, King Cobras etc and had the best day. Held their Alligator (Ali G). We had a tour of the many fascinating Spieces but the Meerkat, Crocodile holding and especially the Swim with two incredibly friendly Crocodiles was totally mind blowing fun !!! My Son and I had an AMAZING time at Crocsrus, we went on the Crocodile and Venomous Snake Tour which also enabled us to handle Ali-G and we were given a photo of us holding him as a memento of our visit before we left. There were a huge variety of different reptiles to see and handle and the staff were really knowledgeable about each and every one. The tour was really informative and the host ensured we all got to see the reptiles and we only moved on when we were all ready which was really good and thoughtful. After the tour we were able to sit down and in turn have a cuddle with Ali-G, the staff ensured we were comfortable first and told us how to hold Ali-G safely, We were all given a perfect amount of time each to hold Ali-G and have the experience of holding a real crocodile. We also had the opportunity to handle practically whatever reptile we wanted, my favourite was the tortoise, my son loved them all. We were so impressed with our visit that as soon as we left we booked up to go Swimming with the Crocodiles in May which also allows us to do the tour and see Ali-G again. We can’t wait to go and we thank Pete and his staff for making our first time there memorable and exciting. We can’t wait to go back.

I would highly recommended the swimming with alligators experience and tour. We visited and did this experience yesterday and the whole family thought it was absolutely amazing (6 & 8 year old plus mum & dad). Leo took us on the reptile tour and his knowledge was impressive. He was very friendly and was great with the children. We asked lots of questions and he was happy to answer them all. It was interesting to see the venomous snakes up close and hear how loud some of these snakes are (and this is coming from someone who is uncomfortable with snakes). Then we was allowed to hold any of the non venomous snakes and reptiles of our choice, which was fantastic. We then had our swim with Ali G & Tinkerbell (alligators) which we are still buzzing about now. It was incredible to be able to cuddle these alligators as they are so friendly and gentle and you couldn’t ever imagine being able to do this. The most wonderful experience and very difficult to put into words. Pete was also very welcoming, friendly and great with the children, he full of knowledge and clearly had years of experience with snakes and reptiles. We can’t wait to return and do another swim. Thank you for the most unforgettable experience and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Me and my fiancee went on Saturday it was raining and freezing but isaac made sure we had a great time swimming with the crocodiles and holding them. he has great knowledge also very friendly as for all the staff there all friendly and approchable answered any questions we had of the animals. Went for the swimming with crocodiles experience for my birthday and it absolutely did not disappoint, I thought it would just be the experience however they give you a tour of all the venomous snakes and crocodiles first and then we were taken to a pool where the crocodiles were, we were shown how to handle them and all of our questions were answered and each of us had our photos taken with the crocodiles which we were able to collect afterwards, afterwards we were brought back inside where staff asked us if there were any reptiles we wanted to handle and brought them out which was just another added perk, the owner and all the staff were extremely kind, funny and helpful, i would definitely return to try out their venomous snakes experience, 5 stars all round !

My son was blown away to be in a room full of King Cobras and see an Inland Taipan up close! Just got back from a couple of days away in Bristol, where we visited Reptile Zone, Crocs r us. I had treated my fiance and son to swimming with the alligators and they were not disappointed. I haven't seen smiles and excitement on their faces like this before! The knowledge and friendliness of Isaac was so brilliant, what a lovely young man. After the boys had their swim we were treated to a guided tour and we were amazed at the amount of incredible reptiles they had. As a photographer I was in my element and my fiance who is a big animal lover and very knowledgeable had a great time chatting with the guys. Even my little girl held a baby snake and chameleon, amongst other reptiles. Our son can not wait to tell all his friends about all the animals he was able to see and hold! Just had our venomous snake and croc tour at reptile zone! Omg what an amazing experience. I bought this for my other half as a birthday present and we both had the best time! Not only do you get to see some very venomous snakes you’ll probably never encounter but the guys there are so knowledgeable about each and every reptile they have there. After having the tour you get to hold an alligator but you can also hold any of the non venomous animals. 100% highly recommend these guys wether it’s the tour or just for some supplies. Great experience at Reptile zone/Crocsrus yesterday. My 4 year old was keen to learn more about reptiles and when we popped in we had such a friendly team greet us when we arrived. We also got a tour of the whole building (it’s like Aladdin’s cave) and met all of the animals, crocs, alligators, snakes, chameleons, toads and even giant snails! Sounds like they do some great parties for kids so we’ll definitely be looking into that for the summer! Thanks for giving our children an experience to remember!

We took our disabled son for a 'swim with a crocodile' experience. We showed him the website photos and videos as he was a little apprehensive and worried he might get eaten by a crocodile! We were warmly greeted by Tom, who stayed with us throughout our visit. What a lovely, knowledgeable, patient guy he is! He showed us all the animals and talked about them all, answering all our questions with ease. In the pool with the crocs he was so gentle. He clearly loves his job! The staff are amazing, extremely friendly and they know their stuff, and I don't mean that lightly, literally answered every one of our obscure questions (we are pretty novice when it comes to reptiles) the staff let us interact with the reptiles and we were also given the poisonous snake tour before my partner swam with the crocs and gator's (he enjoyed himself too much). I have bought two chameleons, a frilled lizard, red eyed tree frogs, a scorpion and millipedes from Pete. The animals were all well kept and Pete has been on hand for the last year to provide excellent and supportive advice. I have done the crocodile swim twice and the venomous snakes tour. Both excellent and I would highly recommended these when they re-open after lockdown. I have also done the reptile keepers course, which was brilliant - I loved every minute (plus a great lunch on both days). I recently rescued a bearded dragon, despite not being purchased at the store Pete has been supporting me with advice and had equipment sent out to me on next day delivery. The store is not local to me, but I choose to travel up there and spend time with Pete and the gang as they all have hearts of gold!

My family have always had some type of reptile in the house and Pete and the guys at reptile zone have always helped out with their abundance of knowledge and help in the past. This week was my turn to have an animal of my own and I have been looking for a beginner snake for a while and have been reading that corn snakes are great beginner snakes but Pete and the guys have all shown me a better variety of beginner snakes and some beautiful species. They all know what they are talking about and have given me great advice and knowledge on how to care for my new snake. Fair to say also that their range of ‘beginner snakes’ is a more amazing and a truly beautiful range. Didn’t take me more than 5 minutes to decide on a beautiful Brazilian Rainbow Boa rather than a corn snake and am very thankful they showed me a better variety of snakes before I made a long commitment to a less interesting snake. Could not fault the place at all! We did the croc swim, worth every penny, amazing experience. You can take your own photos as well as them taking some for you to buy at the end (At a great price). The crocs were great, friendly happy to be held and the one in particular actually lay on one of our shoulders the whole time. Venomous snakes were great to see as well as other various reptiles from in the shop. we even came home with a lovely baby boa constrictor to remember the day. Jack, our young tour guide was really knowledgeable and oozed confidence for someone his age. His presenting skills were impeccable. Now, our favourite part was holding the crocodile. We also got to hold a few other beautiful creatures but I won't ruin the surprise.Having photos printed for a very reasonable cost was a great add on. Being in a room full of venomous snake was quite exciting. My only slight complaint is it would have been nice to have slightly longer in the tour just to absorb what we were seeing. We had a great time with a family of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids. We really enjoyed our tour with our guide who knew loads of great info and facts to share with us, we were allowed to handle pretty much all of the animals and there was lots of staff around so we didn’t have to wait in a queue to see different animals or wait until one of us was finished handling something else. I bought a lovely crested gecko from here a while back. They gave me lots of information whilst I was in the shop and it was very friendly, I got to hold a crocodile which was great. But I am now unsure after more reading if everything they told me was good advice. For example, I was told I didn't need a UV lamp or a heat lamp/pad but from joining groups online it seems everyone has both and it's beneficial for crested geckos, so I have had to invest in them (despite being told I would get a UV lamp included with the vivarium, I went back on multiple occasions to collect and there was an excuse every time e.g. the supplier hasn't delivered yet, we'll send it to your address soon...it never came. Unfortunately, I don't live in Bristol anymore to go back). EDIT: Pete contacted me and apologised for any misinformation at the time, and has since sent me 2 UV bulbs and offered a voucher for crocs r us. Thank you.

Visited Crocsrus recently with my Gf and son for a guided tour of Petes facility. What can I say.... it’s was fantastic!! I run a reptile department of my own in a shop and it always great to go see other shops and Crocsrus was a real treat. I have known of Pete for some time but never met so was great to finally meet him in person, very down to earth and honest about the animals he and his staff keep, I can tell they’re very to the point take no nonsense as every shop should selling animals should be. Holding toodles (dwarf crocodile) was amazing, his temperament is a real testament to the work Pete and his team put in to keep such a gorgeous animal so calm. The venomous snakes were a real treat for me too they’re phenomenal! To wrap up it’s very much worth travelling to visit and I’ll definitely be visiting again. Love visiting this shop! They have an interesting selection of reptiles to look at and buy. I bought my ball python and set up from them back in May and the staff have always been so friendly and informative. I popped in yesterday for some frozen rats as my ball python had stopped eating the ones purchased from another supplier. The staff member reassured me that this was normal behaviour and put me at ease. They also let me and my partner hold a few snakes which is ALWAYS a bonus. What an experience! We have just had the best time, visiting Reptile Zone and seeing the wide array of exotic animals on show. We got to hold loads of different animals, from Tortoise and Chameleons, to Snakes and Crocodiles. The tour of the venomous snakes was fascinating and, to be honest, a little scary, but the best part of the day had to be swimming with Crocodiles and Alligators. To actually have a crocodile asleep on your shoulder, basking in the sun, is just an unforgettable experience. Pete, Chris and our Tour guide Tom were fantastic. Reptile Zone is excellent. We have a chameleon and we always come here for advice and pet food. The staff have a wealth of knowledge and we had such a friendly and welcoming visit. I visited Crocs R Us today and had the most amazing experience. I visited alone but the staff and volunteers made me feel very welcome and even took pictures on my I-phone so I could look back at my experience of swimming with the crocs and handling many of the reptiles they have. Swimming with the crocs was an indescribable experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Within minutes you get a feel for how well cared for and loved these reptiles are, and they’re surprisingly loving and affectionate - the smaller of the crocs, doodles, loves a cuddle ☺️ After the swim I was shown around the venoumous snake rooms and got to handle some amazing Gekkos, a baby alligator and the famous Frank the Chameleon. All provided by some young but extremely knowledgable and very friendly volunteers. All in all an amazing day! Thank you so much for the experience!

Amazing experience! Definitely one for the bucket list that's for sure. I purchased a voucher of Groupon for swimming with crocodiles and a tour and it was definitely worth the wait. We travelled from Nottingham and we was greeted and got to hold a few reptiles whilst we waited for our time slot. The tour was incredible, I am very interested in venomous snakes and so to see them up close and being defensive was amazing. The woman who did the tour was very knowledgeable and showed great passion for the reptiles, describing their personalities and answering questions. They also had a student who was very friendly and he was given lots of opportunity to speak about what he had learnt. We then did the swim with the crocodiles which is by far one of the best experiences I have had and something incomparable to anything else in the UK. The place is small but there is so much to see and do and the staff make it an incredible experience. It has definitely changed my perspective on crocodiles and I certainly fell in love with the ones I swam with. They were so calm, gentle and friendly and very open to interaction. This place is offering an incredible thing and it is something not to be missed by anyone who loves animals or wants to do bucket list experiences. I could of spoke to Pete all day, he is incredibly experienced and has many awesome stories to share about his own experiences. Thank you Crocs R Us for a truly unforgettable experience. My 6 Yr old son was over the moon to see so many venomous snakes. Had a good laugh on the weekend doing a Reptile Tour. Very informative and the knowledge of the 'guide' Phil was excellent. They really took their time explaining and talking all about the reptiles that they have, and we got to hold a wide range of animals. It's easy to see where the money is spent - on the welfare and happiness of the reptiles, and not the prettiness of the enclosures or surrounds :) I've read some of the reviews below, but we didn't find the staff or Pete patronising at all and were shocked by some of the comments. Been here today for a swin experience. Really enjoyed it. The staff were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. A lot of the crocs are rescued animals from private owners. The swim was great amd staff were very clear that interaction was on the crocodile or alligators terms. The crocs were bigger than i expected but extremely friendly. Staff did mention they have smaller crocs though which i assume would be available for people not so confident. Staff were always watchful and on hand if needed. Would highly recommend this to anyone. It was explained the main reason for these tours is to try and show people that these beautiful animals are not the killing machines people think they are and i think this would change most anyones opinion.

What an experience! A group of 7 of us attended the croc tour today and we were not disappointed. Pete and his team were fantastic and made us feel so welcome, especially the children. We was at croc's R us for 3 hours on Saturday 8th May 2021. I swam with an alligator and a crocodile, the pool was very cold but I still enjoyed it none the less. Absolutely Excellent Experience – Definitely Recommend My wife and I were given a “Swimming with the Crocodiles for 2” experience voucher as a present and drove 210 miles down from Leeds to visit Crocs R Us just outside Bristol …we’re happy to report that it was definitely worth the effort! The Reptile Zone/Crocs R Us building itself is easy to find on the A38 between Bristol and the M5. There is free street parking right outside the front door, as well as free parking for 3 hours at Shield Retail Park just round the corner. From the outside the building looks relatively small, but once you walk through the Reptile Zone (their specialist reptile shop) it expands Tardis-like into a collection of rooms and outbuildings that house their many species of snakes, crocodiles, alligators, caimans, tortoises, geckos, chameleons, and other reptiles. Before our swim we were given a full tour by Isaac, who was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all the animals there. We learned lots of interesting things, both from Isaac and the short film presentations that were displayed on TVs in several of the rooms. Throughout our visit, it was clear that all the animals there are very well looked after by expert staff who care a lot about them. As well as animals reared on site, Crocs R Us have “residents” who came from other zoological attractions, as well as some rescued from places where they were not well cared for or from zoos that were closing down and needed a good home for their animals. There was plenty of time during our tour to ask questions and take photos before we went to get changed for our swim in the outdoor pool. The pool is (of course) not heated, but our bodies soon adapted and it didn’t feel cold – especially with the excitement of meeting the alligators! Isaac was in the pool with us during the experience, and took photos and video clips throughout. We met two American alligators during our swim, called Ali and Tinkerbell. Ali was the largest, at about 4ft long and weighing in at around 15kg, with Tinkerbell just a little smaller. They were both beautiful creatures, really friendly, laid-back and happy to be held. It was a wonderful, and slightly surreal, experience to be so up close and personal with these animals which are usually portrayed in films and on TV as not being the friendliest of souls. For anyone who might be a bit nervous about considering this experience, we can honestly say that at no time did we feel even the slightest bit uneasy about how they might behave. I should also mention that, although it’s called a “swim”, the pool is fairly shallow and you definitely don’t need to be able to swim to take part. As with the tour, our swim was not rushed and there was loads of time to interact with the alligators. Afterwards, a hot shower is available inside if you want, although we didn’t bother and just got dried in the changing area. Our experience included a free photo in a printed folder (like the ones you get from theme parks), and you can buy more for a reasonable price. They also offer a video service, which must be booked and paid for in advance, that gives you a DVD of your adventure. Once we’d got changed, we were offered the opportunity to “meet and greet” other animals in the outside courtyard next to the pool. In particular, we enjoyed getting to hold one of their super dwarf reticulated pythons and a cute little Hermann’s tortoise. Altogether we were there for over 2 hours and it was one of the best “animal encounter” experiences we’ve had. We would absolutely recommend Crocs R Us, and hope to visit them again in the future.

In short: Really fun, lovely staff, cuddly crocodile/aligators and super cool venomous snakes! Booked a crocodile swimming experience for my stepson at christmas. He had to wait til warmer weather to use it but has been excited ever since. So glad it lived up to expectations. We had a tour of the venomous snakes (rattlesnakes, Cobras, taiban etc) all safely behind glass but lovely to see. All the animals are well looked after and the staff are very knowledgable. Ethical treatment and the overall happiness of the animals is clearly the focus. Its lovely to see a few rescues also, and a clear but gentle message that these arent casual pets and require licenses and very special care. (Which is helpful because I challenge you to come away NOT wishing you could have a cuddly crocodile!) We swam with one crocodile, one teeny baby aligator and one aligator. They were all incredibly docile because they have been raised around people and will come to you for a fuss. Its a bit suprising after having the tour round the non friendly ones but its nice to know they are content and not forced to be held or anything. (No horrible bound jaws here) Already planning to come back to take the other kids, and because I want to cuddle them again!

Wow is all I can say. The most unbelievable experience ever. Was given an experience of being a keeper for a day and got to go into a pool with 3 Aligators and a Crocodile. Myself & My Partner Visited Reptile Zone on Saturday 21st July booked in for 12pm. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed (what you need after a 2.5hr journey) by Chris who kindly offered up Frank the chameleon who was more than happy to sit on my shoulder moving on to my head!! 🤭 Chris was fantastic, offered us a drink, offered to answer any questions we had, was happy to get out any other reptiles we wanted to handle while we waited for our little tour around the premises. This kept us entertained rather than just being allowed to just stand there passing by the time........ We were met by another member of staff (can’t remember name sorry) who took us around for the introduction of the venomous snakes which was very interesting & also the Crocodiles/Alligator/s (Caimen) all named in relation to Peter Pan... tick tick, Wendy, tinker bell..... you get my drift! Lol. After was time to get changed & into the pool to share some playtime with the Croc & Alligators which was a great experience... they were great! So from my personal experience & I can be quite picky sometimes but I would recommend this to anyone. I wish reptile zone further success for the future & you never know we may be back again. I would strongly recommend, I had an absolutely wonderful experience and I am now the proud owner of a panther chameleon. I cannot recommend the team here enough. After a long time I finally was able to get my own bearded dragon. I messaged the team last Saturday asking if they had any in or where getting any in, they said they had a red morph bearded dragon in that was 4 months old. I went up on Sunday and paid for my dragon. I picked him up today with a 4ft vivarium that the team kindly wired it all up for me. The next time I buy any reptile this will be the place. Again I can't recommend them enough and I've never been happier with a purchase.

Have now had two reptile handling experiences with Pete and the guys at Reptile Zone. (My son has had a fascination with Crocodiles and Alligators for quite some time now). The first was at the shop, where for two hours the level of dedication to my family was staggering. We went through the whole shop and time was taken to answer questions and talk through alligator behaviours and so on. The second was at my son's birthday party. Pete brought along some other reptiles and the party group were all given ample chance to learn about them and handle each in turn. Today we had Reptile Zone visit our school fair and what an experience it was!!! From initial contact we found Pete very helpful who provided all necessary paperwork and insurance needed for a safe and fun visit to school. Hi, I now have the time to write my review of this place. Firstly I want to say that we visited this place for my son's 5th birthday with his friends, this was over 3 years ago and he and all his friends loved it - my girly girl daughter came along too and she fell in love with the place - that has got to say something about this place!... We may have visited over 3 years ago however they still all talk about it. Now trying to help address people's view on the rudeness of staff/owner and the unavailability of the place - the place is popular!!! Book with several date options. And as for the staff and owner - ok, the owner is a little quirky but so is the whole shop! Where have you ever been where you feed a crocodile, hold lizards, snakes, turtles, etc???? As I see it, the staff are unique and so is the place, in fact - are we not all unique and quirky? Give this place a chance, come with an open mind and you may actually enjoy it

I would like to thank the staff for their help with my unwell leopard gecko ..,she was not purchased from them .. she was unwell and a vet wanted £70 to put her to sleep saying that was best for her ., not happy with the advise from the vet I rang them as a last resort for some help and to advise me .. they said to bring her to the shop Where they were so good and so helpful and 3 weeks later she is still alive and seems to be doing ok ., I would recommend them to anyone and in the future if I am wanting a reptile they will be my first choice !! My daughter had the "meet the crocs" experience bought for her for her birthday and i like reptiles so i went along with her To be honest i was not expecting it to be as enjoyable as it was . I went in yesterday for some advice on how to care for a Leopard Geko I rescued, after taking their advice on lighting and vivarium set up, I've already seen a huge difference in him! Easy to find good parking(free). Very welcoming. Had a tour done by the volunteers who were really nice and kind very informative and telling us facts that we didn’t know they let us hold a snake and the crocs and gave us photos for each person the tour is £25pp and about 1hr30-2hrs there also was no pressure to leave or stop handling the animals they were very promoting of us holding them and the volunteers had fun with us Will struggle to see everything if you struggle mobility wise but I am sure they team would adapt to meet requirements if and where they could... The owner as well is lovely Pete is a terrific guy very knowledgeable and keen to pass on his experiences Lots of experiences to offer and will also help you with any concerns with your pets or purchased animals

Amazing experience! Isaac was so enthusiastic and entertaining throughout the tour. I was so nervous getting into the pool with the alligators, Isaacs made me feel comfortable enough and relaxed enough to enjoy the experience and even found the courage to hold the big Alligator Ali. Booked as a birthday treat and Crocs R Us certainly didn't disappoint!! Very friendly and knowledgable staff showed us around the reptiles they own including King Cobras, Black Mambas, Rattlesnakes, Caiman, Crocodiles and Alligators. We also got to hold a Burmese Python, Tegu and Crocodile, which was an experience in itself! The trip was finished off by a swim with 2 alligators, which was a surprisingly-relaxing experience. Although it was a little surreal at first, it was an honour and pleasure to share the water with these incredible animals. The animals were so calm and we felt very comfortable being in the open water with them - the alligators also seemed to enjoy our company, which was really nice. A highly recommended experience for any reptile lover! You won't view crocodilians in the same way again!
