Very instagramable. But that’s about it. If you’re not into it for the shisha the place is quite disappointing. I booked this place based on the Instagram recommendations and didn’t realise it’s a shisha bar. So I rocked up with my little 1 year old 😂 for breakfast/brunch. Drinks arrived in glasses with sticky finger prints and the food arrived an hour later. I’d give the food a 3/5 it was very basic albeit some pretty garnish. I think it’s important to remember that the place is a cafe but once inside it’s easy to expect restaurant style service which it is not. No napkins no table settings, it was all quite bland and I had to resort to using my child’s baby nappy wipes 😂 and ask for cutlery once food was eventually served I was so excited when I went inside and seen the cave like interior but felt quite deflated on my way out so for that reason I can’t recommend this place for small families. The service is just not there yet. I really wanted to try the coffee but given the wait I didn’t feel motivated to add anything more to the order. It all looked pretty but the experience just wasn’t pretty. Staff were very rushed and busy although helpful. I’m giving it a 5 star although I think it deserves a 3 star. Reason for this is that it was my fault for not realising it’s a cafe/Shiah place not a restaurant.

The service is wonderful and friendly and the food was yummy! The only thing I would change (and maybe this is an age thing) is to make the restaurant more bright and breezy! I had a lovely time nevertheless and will be back for more soonish!

Wicked looking shisha place. Brought the premium Alpha X shisha and was served in a standard tray and foil. Once I asked for a HMD the member changed it but that was the only gripe. Great shisha and service after that with regular coal changes and staff checking up with everything. Really funky looking place and one I would visit again when I come back to the city.

The best Sheesha lounge I have ever been to, in the world- that’s how good this place is! The ambience is beyond any ordinary Sheesha place. It has a cave like setting with very contemporary lighting which I loved. There is a wide variety of Sheesha flavours available and the pots are extremely high quality! The staff, especially the man controlling the smoking lounge area was one of the nicest ever and I would definitely every person to visit this place, whether or not you’re a smoker. Kudos to the owners!

Two weeks ago I went back to Cardiff for a family wedding, and needed a spot for my daily intake of vitamin S. I was recommend to try out KAYA lounge, which is based in City road. This is a prefect location for food and late night munching! I tried a mix or Cherry (Tangiers) and Mango (Duft), this was the first time I was given a special mix by the owner and he absolutely smashed it. The Shisha came promptly in a Moze Shisha pipe (German) along with a Khaloud heat management set. It was obvious that the the owner had invested heavily in the Shisha pipes! The ascetics was beautiful, I found out that the same interior designers who designed Shisha Gardens (London) also designed the lounge which was amazing to see! Coal change was frequent and the attention to detail by staff was amazing, coincidently, we went on a Friday which was DJ night and it was absolutely popping with old school vibes, if you do find it a bit too noisy head to the side section which is much more quiet. Over the course of my 7 days in Cardiff, I visited the lounge at least 7 times as I loved everything about it, the pricing was reasonable, Premium flavours £18-22 and dark side flavours from £24 which in well priced considering the Shisha pipe and the quality of heat management set. I would 100% recommend this lounge, and emotion aside this has to be the best lounge I’ve ever been to considering their price point, service, and attention to detail. They also offer drinks and dessert! You will not meet a harder working owner, who is literally in the shop waiting to greet customers than Maythum. His passion and knowledge of his graft is refreshing to see.

What an experience!!! If you haven’t been you need to go. It’s always a pleasure coming to Kaya Lounge! Amazing service as soon as you step in! Wonderful selection of desserts and drinks. So impressed with the shisha flavour selection, there’s over 100s to choose from. The Cave design is so unique. The atmosphere is so welcoming and comforting! The shisha is the best I’ve ever tried, better than London, Birmingham and even Dubai!! Love this place, highly recommended.

First time I have been to this place today. I found it a well looked after place with great friendly staff, great Shisha, amazing artistic layout with plenty of imagination all around, free Wifi, plus brilliant seating. Seating where you can have you own privacy spot. I found it to be very relaxing. Any time before 7pm is the best & quietest time to go. Plus the best time for the quickest service & shisha to your table.

One of the best place for doing shisha in Cardiff. Surprisingly cheap and very well maintained during COVID19 time . Well looked after cleaning and hygiene matters. This is my spot. After a long day at work , running errands and family commitments etc Kaya is the place to head to. The vibe is lit and the customer service is fantastic 11/10. Everyone greets you with a smile on their face guaranteed, supberb shisha with tasty flavours (pink lemonade my fave) I LURV the Somali tea so nice .Missed coming here during lockdown , super happy they are back to doing what they do best! The playlist is the grooviest makes you want to dance the night away. They check your temperature upon arrival and have set It up inside in a way so you observe the 2 meter distance ruling. Best shisha place in wales for real.

City Road has a number of shisha spots. This is one I have been going to since it opened. Over a year. Operates as a noodle bar in the day. Yes they change the coals regular, have a very good range of flavours and use established tobacco brands. Inside, it has two areas for seating. A quiet and a main space. Music and wall hung tv's in the main. Sofas booths against walls and cafe stools in centre. Good service. Gets busy Saturday night even though it can house 100+. Snack food is halal. Serve mint tea and various cakes. Why doesn't it get 5 stars? Nothing major. Tv's hard to see from all angles. Can be cold in winter and it can be loud meaning that you have to talk loud to have a conversation. Otherwise it's a nice enough place to keep coming back to.

The most realest, lengest, pengest, amazing shisha lounge in South Wales!! The main barman Zack at the bar always keeping it lit with the mango mojito, the entire place is like being in a cave in the middle of nowhere cause damnn the nights are wild, you have good music, nice place to sit where you can chat and just enjoy the vibe. Maith & Hanir keeping it smooth with the flavours, highly recommend getting a recommendation from Hanir as Maithem you need to step up your game, your missus is taking over ;) go check it out guys

An absolutely fantastic place to go and relax with your friend or on your own whilst having a smoke of whichever great flavours. They have a variety of flavours. They do all kinds of beverages such as different types of coffees & teas, milkshakes, smoothies, soft drinks, sweets and more. The sitting area is pretty big with some great sofas that are very comfortable! There are socket and USB slots to charge your phone or laptop and they also have Wi-Fi. The members of staff are all awesome, they're there for you if need anything. All in all, definently a great place to check out if you haven't already.

You have very cheap price for shisha in here , design is nice like traditional Moroccan , you can find kaya in city road easy after Wetherspoon , so you can drink cheap alcohol drink in Wetherspoon and after that you can go kaya because don’t have alcohol drink , you can smoking your sigar as well , servic with shisha is tea and just 10£ , shisha and tea together is 10£.
