I love this place, selling everything from sharpie pens over fabric and yarn to baking accessories and seasonal decorations. I've purchased some papier-mache letters and yarn to make a Halloween decoration and a lovely trick or treat sign. I also had purchased a hot glue gun and more yarn for my pompom craft. If you love crafting, a visit is a must.

My partner and I often frequent Hobbycraft for inspiration and supplies: the only downside are the prices, as a few items add up very quickly!

Always get what I want in here and it's convenient for me living a five minute walk away. My son got something for me but it was wrong and he lost the receipt. The Manager was very helpful and let me swap it for the right item and the money left over was put onto a credit note which was fine as I will be back.

Having only driven a passenger to shop there I find it difficult to rate the establishment. My passenger has been happy to shop there more than once which could be regarded as positive. The only drawback is the access point to the car park when more than one vehicle is negotiating the manoeuvre. Some drivers require an awful lot of space! Logically a left turn only upon exit would suffice but who knows how many would simply ignore the 'instructions'......

Our first visit to this branch. Store is ground floor only and the aisles are on the narrow side. Good selection of art and crafts products but not as extensive selection as in the Chelmer village store which has two floors. Small car park with level access to store. Staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful. Depending what you are looking for it may be better to go to the Chelmer store. This said this store will meet most of your arts and craft needs.

It is reasonably stocked but lacking in the general sewing and knitting areas that I mainly visit are a bit lacking at this location. I recently had an issue with an online order. It contained an item that I desperately needed for the next day, which my local shop did not stock. Greg, the manager, went above and beyond to try and resolve the issue for me, even though it was nothing to do with him, even asking his staff to pick up some products from the shop in Chelmsford for me. I had 2 phone calls from Greg, who was also able to get me a refund for my items. He, and his staff (Becca) were so helpful and provided excellent customer service.

Was completely excited, as they have art stuff, large numbers of canvases of various sizes, cooking stuff for my daughter, far nearer to us than alternatives. Only criticism was, although a staff member at the door regulating customer numbers, there were too many people in the store and i felt uncomfortable as many pushing past us.

Often long wait times as they are very proactive on the amount of people in-store during covid restrictions. Always fully stocked with well presented shelves. Often hard to find staff on shop floor when you need advice or guidance to where something is. Ask as you enter the store or you might never find that one thing you went in for.

It's one of the smaller branches. Well stocked but not a huge choice in the card making section. Like visiting when in the are. Have bought something on every visit. Staff friendly and helpful.

There's so much to choose from, they cover pretty much everything you can think of such as, cake making, sewing, model planes, Christmas, Halloween, birthday balloon, spray paint, paper, card, arts n craft .... the long goes on ! The staff where really friendly and helpful, they where willing to explain things and help find things. I'll happily go back again! My daughter loved all the little bits
