Omg i was shocked. It has a great variety for adult & children's art & craft, bakers for baking & anyone who loves knitting & sewing. Everything under one roof. I found the staff are very approachable & polite.

Massive selection of craft stuff in the derby branch. I use it all the time to vet my photo frames and other bits for my photography. Its not too expensive either. Also the place has got me out of a fix when my daughter has come home needing a load of stuff to make a project for school for the next day because its open late.

I love hobbycraft as you know what you are getting everytime! Fantastic variety of crafting goodies and the staff are always so helpful and polite with any crafting questions. The layout is great and accessible to all. I especially like that you can walk in without an idea to create and walk out with multiple for a really good price.

Staff are very helpful so that you can find all your needs. The craft goods are varied in price, some of which you can get cheaper on line, but what is on show is good quality and the shop is well worth a visit. I was very disappointed as there was nothing relevant to leather work that I needed but I was advised on a couple of web sites to focus on by one of the staff. Ask them for advice they are very knowledgeable. The shop is found in a large shopping complex with a Curry's, Halfords, TK Max and other outlets surrounding a large carpark which can be a nightmare to get out of at certain times. As a downside there are no toilets, use the unisex toilet in Costa everyone else seems to be sent here

Oodles of offers and sale items. Shame about the lack of array of sewing machines. No-one to cut the material for you upstairs - you were required to take the bolt(s) downstairs to the tills!!!!! I'm in a wheelchair and my friend is on crutches, totally impractical and downright dangerous, for anyone, to carry such large and heavy items down a stairs or lift and maneuver around the shop to the tills. The staff at the tills were very friendly/jolly/happy (have found this in all the Hobbycraft shops) and had patience with me and my fumbling hands.

Its so nice to be able to go to the craft store again. I always enjoy a good mosey round Hobbycraft. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable but not pushy. The lift is really helpful as I often look round the yarn and fabric on the second floor. I found what I needed and some things I didn't know I needed as well. 🤭

Lovely store with a huge variety of crafting supplies, for whatever you want to do and whatever your skill level is. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable in their products. Car Park can get a little congested at certain times of the day but you do have a 3 hour window.

There is a large range of crafting goods here. They often have offers and sales on and most things are reasonably priced! Went there to buy jigsaws with my daughter and they had a large choice ,they also sell accessories for storing and sorting jigsaws as they seem to have for most hobbies and crafts hence the name!

Hobbycraft is a great shop for anyone who has an interest in arts and crafts, but sadly it is a bit too expensive. I often just look in there for inspiration now and then buy what I need elsewhere. Its a shame, as I like what they have to offer, but it is too pricey if you are doing a lot of art projects.

Allsorts for the hobbyist. I specifically went for the model paints and have visited before for this reason but tend to find quite a few of the ranges always seem to be out of stock in specific colours. Nonetheless still a nice shop to visit and plenty more selection.

This store has everything you need for crafting. I needed stick on embellishments, I came out with around £25 worth by the the time I had done. For the serious crafter out there this place is awesome!

A very large and extremely well stocked craft store. Materials for almost every kind of craft are catered for, from and exhaustive list of art supplies, to wool, needles and patterns, from model kits, airbrushes and paints to baking supplies and cake decorating equipment there is a huge range on offer. Prices are not unreasonable, comparing favourably with other retailers.

Dont use the signs in store to take you to a specific craft area. They have changed it all around. Only knitting and sewing is upstairs now. Not art. Downstairs where there is a sign for cake making it is now arts. Apart from that a good experience. They dont always have everything in stock

I love hobbycraft! It always gives me inspiration to start new crafts. I went to get some card and a guillotine. There were a few options for me to chose from with varying prices allowing for different budgets. I even managed to get a little activity for my 3yr old for less then £3 which kept her busy all afternoon. The store is also quite easily accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

I have had to seek help on a couple of occasions and staff have gone out of their way to help and to show me where certain products are, rather than just saying "Oh it's over there" or "it's on aisle xxx" It really is a pleasure to shop here. An Aladdin's cave. Has an exceptionally wide range of materials and supplies. It is often more expensive than other places, particularly more so than buying online - but not necessarily.It does depend on the item. With an exceptional range in almost all areas , be aware of you are searching for cloth materials this is one area it is limited in range. The ( sometimes) extra expense is often worth the very pleasant browsing experience + the chance to view and compare such a range of products. The store is well laid out + there is a lift to the second floor for those with mobility issues. They often have workshops + special crafting try outs , especially for children, at different times of the year. The Derby store is blessed with very helpful, friendly staff. If it had a cafe it would be perfect- but then I would probably live there!

Hobbycraft is good for those people with mainstream hobbies. Scrapbooking, embroidery, painting etc. Their modelling selection and equipment is really poor. Hobbycraft is more like an expanded arts and crafts section at a supermarket then a true hobby supplier.

I used to be a regular customer of Hobbycraft in Tamworth, and then they brought one to Derby I was over the moon. However, this store is a little bit disappointing, the stock seems to be very minimal and the staff really aren't 'Hobby and Craft Specialists' so when you ask for help, they aren't particularly helpful... they are pleasant though. Its also a shame that the store is in the far corner of the most manic retail park in Derby, it can take up to an hour to get either in or out of the car park at busy periods.
