Went in for our usual stock up on Guinea Pig items. Everything required in stock. Also took the time to expand our family and purchased a Syrian Hamster. Staff were very knowledgeable, spent time making sure everything was suitable before even giving the option of selecting our new pet.

This store has some of the most genuine and down to earth staff. Such a good store, everyone is always so cheery and they clearly enjoy doing what they do 🙌🏼 my only issue would be that pets at home in general are taking a lot of reptile stuff out of stores and making it online only which has reduced my visits. All things pets! Have some fantastic knowledgeable staff on hand if your unsure of anything. Prices are really good and reasonable here too not what I expected from a proper pet shop. They have hamsters/gerbils rabbit and guinea pigs for sale too 😺. Such a wide range of selection. If you download the app on play store you also get 10% off your first order! Click and collect too. Great stuff! 🐈.

Today was a great day! Thank you so much to deb who was patient with me when I was having one of those days! She helped me sort out my cats flea monthly treatments with them being sent to my house! Went to see the animals after a stressful day, but they weren't there due to renovations and improvements to the store. We selected some cat toys for our moggies and had fun browsing the rest of the store. We managed to get lots of different treats to add to some lick mats we got. The lady at checkout was an amazing person, and we had a good chat about the strange things cats are into. She complemented my Jurrassic Park t-shirt and was overall amazing with her customer service. Thanks for making me smile.

Super shop, specially as it has the Companion Care vets located within. The vets service is second to none, and the shop is lovely too. They stock a good range of flea and worm prevention and pet accessories too. The staff are lovely, it's just got such a lovely, welcoming feel for such a large shop. I always look forward to visiting Pets At Home, and that is coming from someone who doesn't usually shop in large stores.

It has a good range of everything pet related for all but the most specialised of pets. The stock of live animals isn't what it used to be pre covid but the range of fish is still very good. The vets here are excellent and did a very good job of patching up our cat who had a rather bad abscess.

Companion care (vet) visit: Compassionate and professional as always. They're working really hard to keep their high level of care and dignity for pets and their owners, despite the current restrictions. You still cannot accompany your pet, but they do everything they can to keep your and your pet's stress levels to a minimum. Great work guys!

Excellent shop for all small pets. Sells everything you need for your furry little friend or scaly friend. Dried, live, and wet food 🤢🤢 every accessory you can imagine, as well as the bigger items like hutches and beds. Staff are kind and helpful, and price is very competitive.

Visited a few times over the lst 6-12 months, about 6 times in all. The staff are all very plesant and helpful, which these days seems to be an exception. Nonetheless I would recommend this Derby Meteor Centre Store. Also clean and tidy. I wish they would not hold animals in stock, like a bag of nuts or a scratching post, these are living creatures not shop exhibits.

Great products, lovely range of toys, pet food and accessories. Pets are well looked after, I love that they have the adoption centre for some hamsters and other fury friends. As well as advertising dog and cat adoption centres. Lovely range of fish and reptiles. Animals are displayed very well. All the staff are well trained and give good advice on products and animals.

Friendly staff. Only knocked a star of because of the parking situation! Entering in and out can be a bit of a nightmare if you get the wrong time of day. Plus it seems if people can't park at McDonald's, they'll park there instead which limits parking for the customers.

I go here mostly for my dog food - James Wellbeloved. The big bags are much cheaper here than anywhere else locally. There is a great range of goods for most animals and small animals are also sold here. All seem to be well cared for. Staff are always helpful, friendly and polite. There is a veterinarian surgery here, but I haven't used it.

Friendly helpful staff, good returns exchange policy, shame products toys plastic litter box etc has trebled in price over last few years ? So glad local pet shops still in business as can't afford to buy all my pet treats & things there anymore just ridiculously over priced, but obviously some people are encouraging this by continuing to purchase items and dog chews that work out £1 EACH that's like a big bar of chocolate individually wrapped??

Really good customer service. The items we wanted were not currently in stock but the assistant was able to order in what we needed and guaranteed it for delivery the next day. Within an hour of leaving the shop, I received an email advising me of the dispatch of the items, and an estimated collection time for the next day.

Large range of products in large sizes BUT no flat bed trolleys! Asked for one and told they no longer have any but as I had several sacks of cat litter I was requested they be placed into an unwieldy shopping trolley. Got to checkout to be informed they had one or two but they were all likely to be in the warehouse...no good there for customer use! Shame as staff are always friendly and try to be helpful. This is often an issue and I buy lots of heavy and bulky items.

Only problem with this place is the lack of staff plus tha dont seam to have much experience in the pet industry my partner as been keeping snakes for years the guy showing us the snakes didn't seam to know what he was doing or talking about plus he didn't wash his hands after hanging the snakes this could cause cross contamination by handing different snakes without cleaning his hands first

They need more guinea pigs because at the moment I have a lone guinea pig named Snickers and he has been lonely for over a month but you have good staff and you know when thing are impotent in the vet area
