Had a unopened return to make. Tried Mansfield, bluntly refused return. After contacting this Derby store they went above and beyond to ask around, to find out. Went through a few people who were all very pleasant and helpful. Alison was the lady in the end who got everything confirmed after promptly returning my call, to be able to return the item. We then drove to Derby after the dissapointment with Mansfield, to be greeted by smiley faces and a completely opposite approach to what Mansfield had to offer. Great customer service and a very positive polite team. This will now be my go to store, even though it is a bit more out of the way. Many thanks and keep up the great team work and professionalism.

Good toy store. Good selection of toys and staff are very helpful. My only issue is that I have had quite a few toys from there with batteries in that have leaked and damaged the toys. I have also had toys from there which have been broken ( a scooter). However! Staff have exchanged and refunded without question and have always been very helpful and apologetic which is a HUGE plus and why I will continue to shop at this store. Excellent customer service and I would recommend this store to others.

Really helpful staff, arrived with two grandchildren aged 2 and 4 to buy sandpit, staff very helpful and carried products to the car, security man also helpful, suggested paying for sand at till before picking it up, again helped to the car.

My kids and I love Smyths. Since the unfortunate fall of Toys R Us this has become our go to toy shop, even though it is the other side of Derby from where we live it's always good for a wander round. They will even sometimes hold little events with candy floss machines and fun activities.

Waited ages to be served by someone in a blue t shirt apparently they are the only ones who could direct me to paw patrol headphones? Only one blue shirt around he was on the till serving so had to wait in queue that said he was very helpful and fetched me the item. More blue t shirt staff needed on shop floor as these are the tech team which is in demand this time if year.

It's a great store, perfect for birthday or xmas shopping but they dont have much in the pocket money range for the kids to buy themselves .
