P. S.what a lovely shop, great selection of cards and gifts, staff so friendly but felt so safe too as it was spotless, limited amount of people in the shop so not over crowded, politely asked to sanitise my hands as was everyone else. Good job guys, can’t recommend highly enough.
J. L.This shop is very convenient for where I work and usually has a good selection of cards for all occasions. However, the staff have obviously been instructed to speak to customers as soon as they enter the store. You can barely get in the door without being greeted and then asked 'can I help you?', 'have you found what you're looking for?' This may sound petty and ungrateful but sometimes you just want to wander in and browse at your leisure. I shop there regularly; they must know my face; I know exactly where the various cards are and can find them. If I can't, I can always ask. I don't need my hand held - it's just a card I want to buy. I admit I'm a bit of a 'grumpy out lady' - but all of my work colleagues agree about this (and many of them are young, friendly and usually happy souls!) We regularly share a moan about the over-friendly, persistent shop staff after visits there. Someone did tell me that staff at Bonkers are warned about mystery shoppers and this may be the reason - it is apparently the same in St Andrews - but I want to tell them - "you're going over the top - overdoing it - it's becoming counter productive". We find ourselves going to lengths to find other shops where we can shop in peace - despite the fact that it is handy and well stocked. PLEASE! Let us shop in peace .....

S. C.Cute wee gift shop on Hanover Street. It is down some steps from street level affecting its accessibility for some - and would probably feel a little crowded if you were a little unsteady on your feet or using walking device etc. Not a huge shop but has a decent selection of cards plus other nice little gifts. These include books, decorations and party things, and at the moment xmas gifts and tree ornaments.
