P. J.SERIOUSLY EXCELLENT is something of an understatement about John Williamson Fishmongers of Portobello. Three generations of their family work alongside each other with the finest and freshest seafood on offer. Today's lunch is about to be some succulent Scottish King Scallops, I have had these from there on several occasions & they have ALWAYS been exquisite. Passed through Sainsbury's on way back from fish shopping Scallops there were 10 Quid per Kilo more expensive, and were not as superb looking. We will be BACK there tomorrow to stock-up on seafood to tide us over their Sunday -Monday closure. I am from New Zealand and live near the sea, but fish THIS FRESH you can only get if you catch it yourself. NICE friendly staff happy to please and if you close your eyes ? ALL you can smell is sea water NO "fishy" smells ever noticed here MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED = AAAA+++
