Massive toy store in Edinburgh Smith’s serving Edinburgh people for years, we use this place since the baby toys to Nintendo games now. Big range in store, you may order online and collect here. Staffs never smile, possibly due to the work pressure. Always crowded so hold your kids or keep an eye at all the times. I feel this place is a bit pricy.

Simply the best toy store in Edinburgh for choice and price. It's nothing short of amazing. The city centre has zero choice of good toy shops so get out to the fort and go here. It's better than going online by miles.

Without going into detail, the management, as represented by William and Sarah, were superb at listening to my issue with a particular toy. They assessed the problem thoroughly and asked appropriate question. I was not expecting a decision there and then as it was technically not Smyths fault however they made a lovely gesture to my daughter and that will be remembered forever. They have promised to investigate and I believe that I can leave this matter in their capable hands. Everything worked out well in the end and that is what really matters. Also a special mention for the security guard who was just superbly professional. Where do you find these amazing staff? A separate email will go out to the company owners to reflect the gratitude I have to the company and the staffs care for my children.

The staff were fantastic on my last visit, I described a specific toy that my son was looking for and the member of staff spent time with us looking. She apologised when it appeared to be out of stock however, she found it on a delivery while filling the shelves and took the time to find us again.

I was in the Fort Kinnaird Store in Edinburgh today and was served by Brian. I cannot praise Brian enough for his willingness to help me buy a car child seat for my 4 year old granddaughter. He was highly knowledgeable and could answer any question I asked. He suggested the appropriate seats to suit my grandaughter’s weight and brought down the ones he thought would be suitable. He even gently encouraged my granddaughter to stand on the scales which, to my surprise, she did. The area was busy but he dealt with the situation with great care and awareness of safe distancing. He was also patient and mannerly throughout as I took photos of the seats and phoned my daughter before choosing. His customer service, in my view, is highly commendable.

Great toy store with a very good selection if Lego sets. They have good discounts on sets. Too many kids though.

My wife and I visited the store to buy a Christmas present and birthday present for our grandson. Being a Sunday it was very busy and no shortage of children no doubt preparing their wish list for Santa!! I had ordered our Grandson's Xmas pressie on line on pay and collect basis. Never used this before but it worked a treat and collected the pressie in quick time. The only items I did not find were a model of the International Space Station and a big train set (for me) Lol. Bit of advice - if doing Xmas shopping in Smyths Toy Store, maybe try midweek when it may be quieter. The store has an amazing range of everything for children so I might even have another go for myself!

Since the demise of Toys R Us, Smyths have arguably become the main toy store in Edinburgh. At the moment, they are doing 'click & collect' or 'pay and get delivered. Got what I ordered and collected in my car. Really good service.

Excellent service, good knowledge of products and helpful staff We decided to buy an XBOX for Easter but weren't sure about a couple of things. Michal was extremely patient even though we had at least 20 questions. With a smile on his face he did everything for us so he helped me to make the best decision . We will be back for sure. :)

The queue to get in the store moved quickly. The guy on the door had a mask on but it wasn't covering his nose. The aisles were very busy which made it impossible to follow the 2 metre rule. Check out was slow.

Was in today around 1600 on 13/11/20. Needed to exchange a boys bike helmet coz ma boys got a massive napper. Anywhoo! The guy that was running that aisle (sorry can't remember his name) was great, seen me struggling with sizes and came up and helped me. We Had a good wee laugh intae the bargin! Also got it exchanged no dramas, everyone I interacted with was great. Tried to by my wife that windy knickers game for her Xmas....wasn't having it, got told to grow up. Only bad point was that.

Massive store with lots of things for kids to see. Toilet facilities for disabled as well as male and female toilets. Great value in comparison to some other stores and if ordering online can pick up items at this store.
