Photography: In addition to a few large murals, there is also a large area of graffiti. The alley here is not very wide, so walk carefully. Besides, the passers-by here are very kind, please ask for help when you encounter problems, and you will get patient answers.

This mural is part of the Glasgow City Centre mural trail and it's a homage to the great Glaswegian and world famous comic Billy Connolly. Billy wasn't just funny he was infectiously funny and certainly deserves this tribute from his home city. The Glasgow City mural trail introduces murals to drank and dreak grey walls. It gives them a little bit of colour and a bit of art also, this is peoples art outside the museum anyone can see

Just great to see the Big Yin Billy Connolly Murals in the city The collection is of three murals. There is also another one done back in 90s its located in Anderston next to Clyde Express.

Great fun on the Billy Connolly trail in Glasgow, seeking out all 3 murals. Absolutely brilliant for Billy Connolly fans, and a lovely tribute to a legend.

In commemoration of Billy Connolly’s 75th birthday BBC Scotland commissioned three portraits of the comedian by top Scottish artists. In conjunction with Glasgow City Council representations of these original works were then installed around the city centre. Two of these works have been depicted as murals by Rogue One. This particular installation is based on John Byrne’s “Billy Connolly”. All three portraits were showcased, across the country, in a special BBC Scotland programme Billy Connolly: Portrait of a Lifetime and are now on display in the People’s Palace.

A tribute to living legend Billy Connolly this is part of the 3 murals painted in his honour and dotted around the city centre, this one by John Byrne brightens up a drab city centre wall

Oh I was born in Glasgow, near the centre of the town,
I wouldd take you there and show you, but they've pulled the building down.
And when I think about it, it always makes me frown,
They bulldozed it all to make a road.
And that great old place I miss so much has seen much better days,
And still we talk about it as we go our separate ways.
Oh, but Glasgow gave me more than it ever took away,
And prepared me for life on the road.
My granny was a cleaner, my grandad drove a tram,
My father an engineer, made me all I am.
They have seen the city come and go, still they give a damn,
There's so much to learn along the road.
And Glasgow gave me more than it ever took away,
And prepared me for life on the road.

While not my favourite of the three new murals its still a great piece of art in the city centre.
'Billy Connolly’ by John Byrne is has created a portrait of Billy as he is now, which is a nice change to the others which seem to be when he was much younger.

Nice mural. Paying homage to someone whom turned their back from Glasgow as soon as the money came in and now he is trying to reminisce due to ill health. Pompus.
