Just came across the store today and ended up spending over £100 in Christmas gifts. Staff were all welcoming and shop looked great. Didn’t realise I could get so many bargains from a charity shop. Would highly recommend 😀

brilliant charity shop it always has something really interesting in stock.
just wish it was nearer to where i live

This place gets better and better. Great selection of furniture. There was 3 and 2 seater sofa for just £95 and in very good condition. They now sell branded items from companies which is great. They have recent stocks of fitness equipment and garden equipment which a lot of us have turned our hands to recently. However, I still have not mastered my hula hoop!

Brilliant and big store with second hand clothes, homeware, furniture, and more. Staff are friendly and helpful and the selection is always amazing. Have seen some reviews complaining about expensive prices but last time I went I picked up some skirts for £4 each and a very high quality vintage dress for £5.50 so I can't complain. Have gotten all sorts of things here from blazers to ballgowns and have never paid more than a tenner.

Some good bargains and staff very helpful 👍

It's a large store with a large range of items, especially furniture, but don't expect to pick up any massive bargains, probably as a result of its location in an affluent area. For example, there was a tent still had a faded slip showing it cost £7.95 when new from Tesco. Salvation Army price; £7.00.
Most of the staff were friendly, but one lady would probably be fired if this was a regular store. Everything about her attitude was appalling.
Their selection of vinyl was comical. It has to be seen to be believed.

Great charity shop, always full of new stock and right now is a good time to go, it is bursting with new stock
M.
Huge shop, very neat and well organised.

First time in a long while since I have visited and what a surprise, the shop looks so nice and clean and well laid out, well done to everyone who worked hard to make it like this xx

Still A Fantastic Store For A Bargain. Ignore any poor reviews and go visit the store for yourself. Its a fantastic store that has been around for many years and the staff are friendly and helpful at all times. Like any business charity stores have to evolve to remain on the high street but you can always find a bargain in the store with new goods up to half the rrp price or less.
I just purchased a new parasol for £99.99 last week and could not believe the saving as it was priced at £269.99 in Argos.
Staff were all helpful and helped load this into my car. The store has changed and has become more of a proper retailer over the years with good merchandising and time taken to display items properly.
My motto is be respectful to retail and and they will go out their way to assist you, especially in these hard times.

Visited store yesterday and they have some amazing new stock out for sale at great prices. Bought cat basket, door mat, electric heater and sofa for less than £100. Recommend a visit. Staff were so helpful offering delivery and going out their way to help. One of the best run charity shops I've ever visited...WELL DONE 5 Stars😀

the ever fabulous Aladins cave of The Sally Army continues to fascinate and amaze the visitor - here you can find everything from an Edwardian canteen of cutlery to an upside down umbrella (I kid you not) brand new mixers, blenders, heaters, grind and brew coffee makers, lights of all shapes and sizes, sleigh beds, dreeses in red, toasters, power tools, garden lounger (new and boxed), CD's, DVDs and Tv's, tables, and sofas gallore, all of that and much more. Come and be overwhelmed - plus your helping support a truly great charity. While you can't buy love - you can share some - by caring about where buy.

Love having a look, and not disappointed, plenty good quality furniture, and very reasonable price, love to help the community ,charity is hope and giving back
J. G.
Went to store last week after recommendation and really was at the variety. Nothing like other charity shops and can see the place is well run. Five stars to the team who work hard to create a great little business. Bought chest of drawers and wardrobe for less than £150.
M. S.
Great selection of both new, used and Preloved furniture.
A wide selection of tables, chairs, sofas, beds, bookcases, side tables, dining tables, dining chairs, coffee tables, sideboards, double beds, single beds, bunk beds, lots of pictures and mirrors.
Also found some smaller electrical items such as heaters, blenders and electronic stoves.

As a regular at the Sally I was delighted to pay a visit to my favourite charity shop post lockdown.
The store is huge and always has a wide variety of goods available for sale, with books being a particular favourite of mine.
There is furniture, bedding, curtains, Ladies, Gents & Kids clothing and footwear, bric-a-brac and pretty much everything in between you can imagine.
Some people have complained that prices have risen in the last few years. I’d say the Sally’s prices are in line with most other charity shops, especially the ones along Dumbarton Rd (although if you think this please venture up to the charity shops of Byres Rd and beyond.. You will be in for a shock.)
The Sally raises money for and supports the work of the Salvation Army.
Little known is the fact that outside of government the Salvation Army are the biggest providers of social care in the UK. (I’m an atheist so no cheerleading here, just stating facts)
From feeding homeless people, to supporting families, the elderly, the vulnerable, victims of trafficking to pitching up in times of crisis to support the emergency services as well as the victims the scope of their work is huge.
Although this work is free at the point of use for the vulnerable, without regular income the Salvation Army could not provide their vital service’s to so many.
I’ve always found the staff helpful and courteous, if a little frazzled because they are generally very busy.
There are spates of shoplifting just like in any other shop (I know, stealing from a charity shop is beyond low) so staff have to be vigilant.
The Sally is an absolute gem tucked away at the bottom of the west end between the subway and the art galleries.
Always worth a look, I’ve had many a cheeky bargain and look forward to many more for years to come.

Best charity shop in Glasgow, if not Scotland?got everything, great to rummage about in, some great bargains to be had!10 out 10
E. G.
I remember when you'd get a good bargain here.
Now most clothes are overpriced and in bad condition.
Recently the salvation army have had new sealed items for sale. But they are being sold at retail price.
Like most charity shops in Partick, they are over priced.
A. G.
I was in today and i bought a new sofa Harry was brilliant he gave me it for an excellent price as always.Very professional.Love this shop its been my favourite for years.staff are always so nice and friendly thanks guys will be back soon.Ignore any bad reviews come check this little gem out!!!
M. M.
A love it ...they have great prices on there furniture..always something to buy in it...
S. M.
Large charity shop.....with a good selection of furniture. All the good stuff gets snapped up by private landlords and not for who the shop is intended for! If you're buying any clothes, take a bag or you'll get accused of shoplifting, much to my detriment :(
G. W.
Without doubt the best place for picking up second hand furniture in Glasgow. There is always a load of stuff to look through and unlike many places they keep the prices low. Always good for a bargain.
S.
Staff are brilliant, always helpful and understanding to disabled customers, a great place to find a bargain .
a. m.
Great place for bargains, washing wash on sale for £40. Good lot of furniture, all at very fair prices, racks of clothes, books on all subjects, household items, collectable.
A.
Yeah it's good to have charity shops. But this one is expensive if your on universal credit.
M.
The prices are creeping up and I don't blame them really, it's always been cheaper than the rest due to quick turnaround on almost everything. As my old man used to say: "If you're not early, you're late".
B. M.
Visit for yourself to find a unique shopping experience with warm friendly staff and management. Just bought new sofa for £245 saving money and will definitely return.
M. W.
Good shop, staff are nice, but you can't give a deposit to keep the furniture for you. You have to give a full amounth of money.
S. J.
Store looking fantastic with friendly staff and amazing bargains. Best place in Glasgow for second hand furniture and clothing😀😀. Keep up the good work guys.
M. C.
This charity shop is one of the reason I miss living in Glasgow. It is a veritable treasure trove of second hand, up cycled an forgotten about gems. From Narnia-esqe wardrobes to records this charity shop has everything, with exceptionally good prices which aren't over inflated due to it's west end location. Watch out for their special events where they sell off the more covetable items that are donated to them.
R. H.
Biggest selection of 2nd hand haunted furniture in Scotland. Stock rotates very quickly so if they don't have what you want they might a few hours later.
Also stocks 2nd hand books, clothes (who buys the underwear?), dvds, games, ornamental granny junk and books.
L. R.
