Recently changed from AD, to bobco, and if I'm honest, I should have done this years ago, for 1, Everything at bobco is generally in stock, can't say the same for AD who is generally out of stock on most products, delivery from bobco was free, and within 3 days, whereas AD, there is a delivery charge and it can take up to 7 days for delivery, plus the price on smaller items, such as feeders, hooks, and general general tackle are just that little bt cheaper at bobco, so after a season of bts and bobs I can see the savings already. Great shop. It's ashame the closest is Leeds, we could do with one in Bedford or Milton Keynes. Great tackle shop, last of the good ones in my opinion.

A very large store covering all types of tackle. I didn't find it too easy to navigate round and although there was a lot of tackle at reasonable prices I didn't think the layout made it easy to find what I was looking for. Traveling not much further to Leeds Direct is a more pleasant shopping experience.

Coming from Rochdale, it was truly well worth the shopping experience to this store. Had a problem with some reels, staff and management couldn't do enough for us and actually swapped the reels, just paying the difference on the new reels. Advice was valuable, as I had gone for my husband and they explained everything. Also, asking if there were public toilets, they said they hadn't, so I continued to shop, when, a lady from behind the counter came to find me and said I could use the staff toilets. Bloody fantastic customer service. Will definitely be going to shop ther again!

I went here to buy some carp rods, they have a great selection of rods, reels and baits. They dont tell you that the expensive gear is always better but instead they show you what you can get on a budget which is amazing, would recommend.

Friendly staff who are always happy to help. This is a mega store and it consists of 2 floors of fishing equipment and tackle and baits. Well worth a visit. First time i went it was amazing and will pop in whenever I get the chance. I live 60 miles away and have been many times. I don't think there is a place like it. Visited the shop for the 1st time and also placed an online order. The shop has just about everything you could need, with the exception of a customer toilet that i could see. (I would have stayed much longer if it had). The prices are very competitive and the staff helpful. Haven't visited the shop as it's some way from me which is a shame as it's a large retail outlet and holds just about everything so I've been told, so I can only tell you about my experience of buying online from them which I'm pleased to say is a good one. I've found items on here that I've been unable to find on other sites, and when you compare prices with other companies you will struggle to find cheaper, and delivery times are prompt too.

Excellent selection of kit at competitive prices. The staff offer advice on the choices available but are in no way pushy sales people, they are always happy to pass on fishing tips and knowledge in general. Rino and Chris in particular have recently helped my son decide on his first seatbox and pole. We generally spend a good 2 hours per visit and have been customers for around 14 years. Well worth a visit!

On Saturday the 12th October I was off work as it was my Birthday - So my wife asked me what I wanted to do for the day and I replied That I want to go visit Bobcotackle in Leeds as it’s supposedly the best/biggest Angling shop in the U.K. We eventually arrived after just under a two hour car drive, I have to say That I wasn’t disappointed it’s Amazing - in fact it’s so big it’s quite Overwhelming as I didn’t know where to start. I got Great advice and help from big Sean on the Carp section who not only told me what rods would fit in the hold-all and he knocked a fiver off. Down stairs I received great advice on various baits from another member of staff who’s name I didn’t get. The selection of products is out of this world it’s all hands on and the rods n reels you can actually hold and play with, I ended up purchasing a Daiwa tank n bank feeder rod, fox rod hold-all and bait as well as a shimano cap and some Nash products. I could of spent a lot more only for my wife and son asking me to leave after patiently waiting an hour and a half for me. The big guy on till friendly and chatty and for the record the owner is called Bob. They Even have customer toilet. After a long drive just missing a fishing themed cafe for the wife and kids after all I would of probably spent another hour in there but maybe in the future? What a fabulous shop and staff so glad I made the effort to visit rather than just ordering online - my Birthday was a Happy one. Thanks Bob and co

Literally everything you need! Sea fishing, predator, carp, fly, everything! You could spend hours in this shop! Recommended! One problem, I broke one of my rods, thaught it had a garuntee but didn’t, then I had to pay to get it fixed, not so bad.... they said come in next week and it will be sorted for you, we thaught that was ok it will give them time to get the new part. So we came in the next week and they didn’t have the part, after 3 trips to bobs co every weekend we finally had the part, I hope this was a one off but it was not acceptable!

Amazing fishing tackle shop. They have a bewildering selection of gear and baits. They don't stock everything (for example the Korum Supalite shelter when I was looking to buy one) but they have enough options to confuse you. They have over 30 poles on permanent display, assembled and ready to handle. At least as many carp rods and a huge number of reels. Also they may have what you need but not where you expect it. For example, quick stops for boilies are either with carp gear or boilies depending on brand. Braided hook length is either with carp gear or hooks depending on brand again. Pole floats are in a different place to elastics and neither are in the same place as the poles. So either be prepared to wander around the shop looking, no great hardship, or just ask a member of staff for help. Especially if you aren't exactly sure what you need. Carp hook, matt finish, size 6 is not exact enough. That still leaves probably close to 10 choices.
